DECISION 1: - - - - - - - TC 100 agreed on the agenda as given in document 100/1436/DA with one addition for Accessibility issue. (Note: Agenda already included accessibility issue at 6.2.) DECISION 2: TC 100 confirmed the previous meeting minutes 100/1319/RM in Alsace 12th October 2007. DECISION 3: TC 100 welcomes Mr. Hironori Sakakihara as TA 8 Technical Secretary replacing Mr. Honda. TC 100 thanks Mr. Honda for his excellent work in TA 8. DECISION 4: TC 100 celebrates the following 5 recipients of IEC 1906 Awards from TC 100: Mr. Jukka Alve Mr. Toshinori Kozai Mr. Kwang-Mo Jung Mr. Makoto Yoshioka Mr. Glen Stone FI JP KR JP US DECISION 5: TC 100 acknowledges the report of the first high level meeting of TC 100, ISO/IEC JTC 1 and ITU-T. It was noted that an adhoc meeting will be held in late April 2009 in Geneva. DECISION 6: TC 100 accepts the report of AGS as given in document 100(Sao Paulo/AGS)05. TC 100 welcomes Ms. Megan Hayes as an AGS member replacing Mr. Holm. TC 100 thanks Mr. Holm for his excellent contributions in AGS. TC 100 is anxious of absent of Mr. Cocimarov of IEC/CO in AGS meeting as a formal AGS member. DECISION 7: TC 100 accepts the report of AGM as given in document 100(Sao Paulo/AGM)06, where the following item need special attention/actions: TC 100 will send a letter to answer to the request regarding document exchange between JTC 1 relevant SCs and TC 100 TAs.
AGM recommends that TC 100 should recognize Ecma TC 38 as a dependency organization. AGM agreed to establish internal liaison ship with TC 111. Regarding enquiry on horizontal standards, AGM agreed to support IEC 62321, not to support IEC 62430. TC 100 chairman and secretaries will discuss the normative referencing issue till the next AGM meeting. DECISION 8: TC 100 accepts the report of TA 1 as given in document 100(Sao Paulo/TA1)07, where the TA1 seeks guidance as to whether it should revise scope to address broadband media services and related file formats and profiles. The meeting decided that the scope should not change at this moment. The following request by TA1 was approved in AGM: TC100 to liaise with TC111 (PT 62542: Standardization of environmental aspect - Glossary of terms) for the harmonization of the term definitions of standby power in IEC 62087; Mr Andreas Schneider, an expert of both projects, as the formal liaison representative. Establishment of liaison with SMPTE regarding broadband media will be considered. MT 62087(STB) requests to send Liaison Statements to ITU-T SG 9 and Cable Labs to stimulate STB manufacturers' and Cable Operators participations. Programme of Work will be updated accordingly. DECISION 9: TC 100 appreciates the result of MT 62087 Ed.1 leaded by Mr. Jon Fairhurst for his excellent and extensive leadership to this project. DECISION 10: TC 100 accepts the report of TA 2 as given in document 100(Sao Paulo/TA2)08, where the In reviewing the TA2 report to TC100 from last year, TA 2 have requested to cancel PWI 61966-7-2, Colour measurement and management Part 7-2: Colour printers CMYK inputs. But it is still listed on 100/1457/PW. TA 2 requests again to cancel PWI 61966-7-2. TA 2 also requests to cancel PWI 61966-2-0: Colour measurement and management Part 2-0: Colour management in multimedia systems, because the subject had been covered by Part 2-1, Part 2-2, Part 2-4 and Part 2-5. The following liaison representatives need to be updated: - The liaison representative from CIE Division 2 should be changed from Mr. Holm to Dr. Danny Rich. - The liaison representative from CIE Division 8 to IEC TC100 should be changed from Mr. Holm to Dr. Fumio Nakaya. DECISION 11: TC 100 accepts the report of TA 4 as given in document 100(Sao Paulo/TA4)09, where the 100/1474 DC was issued with a closing date of 9 January 2008 however the date should have been 9 January 2009. This document will need to be amended. DECISION 12: TC 100 accepts the report of TA 5 as given in document 100(Sao Paulo/TA 5)10. DECISION 13: TC 100 accepts the report of TA 6 as given in document 100(Sao Paulo/TA 6)11, where the Modification for the Title and Scope of TA6 as described in the following: Title: Professional electronics storage media, data structures and equipment. Scope: Study of applicable technology and development of standards for storage media, data structures and equipment for Professional electronics. Data structures could include metadata and wrapper types, file formats, and data formats. TA 6 requests the liaisons with the following organizations: SMPTE Joint Task Force ITU-R WP 6B ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 23 Liaison letters are required to SMPTE (Mr. Peter Symes) and EBU (Mr. Hans Hoffmann) DECISION 14: TC 100 accepts the report of TA 7 as given in document 100(Sao Paulo/TA 7)12, where the Change of Title and Scope as described in the following: Title: Consumer electronics storage and related applications. Scope: Study of applicable technology and development of standards for consumer electronics storage media, equipment, systems, and related applications. These include file format, file exchange, metadata, applications and any relevant technologies. During the meeting, the meeting decided to modify the title of TA 7 to harmonize with the title of TA 6. The meeting requests TA 6 and 7 to modify their titles accordingly. If they agree, TC 100 approves automatically the modified titles. DECISION 15: TC 100 accepts the report of TA 8 as given in document 100(Sao Paulo/TA 8)13. Dr. Grant asked TA 8 TAM to consider new liaison ship with ISO/IEC JTC 1 Study Group on Digital Content Management and Protection regarding IEC 62227. 100(Sao Paulo/Secretariat)23 Page 3
DECISION 16: TC 100 accepts the report of TA 9 as given in document 100(Sao Paulo/TA 9)14, where the TC 59 is invited to consider a liaison with TA 9 regarding a proposed new project for home networking of white goods which will be proposed by Korea. The CDV document for PT 62514 was the older version. The circulated document should be cancelled and re-start CDV stage again with the new document. DECISION 17: TC 100 accepts the report of TA 10 as given in document 100(Sao Paulo/TA 10)15. DECISION 18: TC 100 accepts the report of TA 11 as given in document 100(Sao Paulo/TA 11)16, where the Request new liaison ship with ITU-R WP 6C to enhance work on loudness measurements. DECISION 19: TC 100 accepts the report of projects directly under TC 100 as given in document 100(Sao Paulo/Secretariat)17. DECISION 20: TC 100 accepts the report of GMT as given in document 100(Sao Paulo/GMT)18, where the. Some pieces of liaison information from AES were introduced, 100/GMT(Sao Paulo/AES)10 to 12. There was a question regarding copyright of a figure which was originally provided by AES and included in an IEC standard. AES would like to use the same figure in another AES standard and is questioning who approves the use of figure. The secretary will consult with IEC CO. DECISION 21: TC 100 accepts the report of Stage 0 project (Accessibility for audio, video and multimedia systems and equipment) as given in document 100(Sao Paulo/Baronas&Grant)25, where the New Title: Activities related to accessibility and usability for audio, video and multimedia systems and equipment New Scope: -Information on the activities with observations and recommendations about accessibility and usability in the domain of IEC TC100 (including demographic and other statistical information). - Industry experts may apply this information when they evaluate opportunities to integrate accessibility and usability in their work 100(Sao Paulo/Secretariat)23 Page 4

DECISION 23: TC 100 accepts the liaison reports from TC 46 presented by Dr. Halme in documents 100(Sao Paulo/Halme)26 and 100(Sao Paulo/Halme)27. DECISION 24: TC 100 has just received the liaison report from ITU-R WP 6B in document 100(Sao Paulo/Secretariat)22. TA 6 will consider this document accordingly. DECISION 25: TC 100 reviewed the current liaison list as given in documents 100(Sao Paulo/Secretariat)20 and 21 and modified them accordingly based on the requests by TAs and members. DECISION 26: TC 100 approves the liaison requests in the following: Ecma TC 38 as Dependency IEC TC 111 as Internal IEC TC 59 as Internal DECISION 27: TC 100 received the liaison request from ISO/IEC JTC 1 Liaison, Dr. Grant, regarding documents exchange between JTC 1 SCs in particular SC 6, SC 23, SC 25, SC 28, SC 29 and SC 34, and TC 100 TAs. TC 100 approved the response to JTC 1 in document 100(Sao Paulo/Secr)28 with some modifications including TA 5. DECISION 28: TC 100 approves the programme of work as updated (100/1457/PW) according to the reports from TAs and projects. 100(Sao Paulo/Secretariat)23 Page 5
DECISION 29: Based on the request from IEC CO, TC 100 re-considered the new SBP in document 100(Sao Paulo/Secretariat)04. The document will be submitted to CO with modification proposals by all TAs after the meeting by correspondence. DECISION 30: TC 100 discussed the proposed IEC TC 100 comments on the SG 1 recommendations in document 100(Sao Paulo/Secretariat)30. The text will be discussed by correspondence.
