FLIGHT SAFETY THROUGH TECHNOLOGY & TRAINING Photo by: Sgt Sam Bendet USAF Since 1969, Environmental Tectonics Corporation (ETC) has designed, manufactured, installed, commissioned and supported aeromedical training and research simulation systems. From G-tolerance to night vision systems, our equipment can be procured individually to complement an existing training program or as part of a complete aeromedical training center. ETC anticipates aircrew needs and offers simulators that address training and research requirements. Producing the most cutting edge simulators and focusing on the latest aviation concerns make ETC the only choice for research and training. ETC CLIENTS With equipment in over 85 countries, ETC is a true leader in flight training and simulation. For a complete list of countries and equipment, visit our client list on the Web at www.etcaircrewtraining.com/clients.

SPATIAL DISORIENTATION SITUATIONAL AWARENESS Spatial disorientation and loss of situational awareness are the top challenges in manned flight today. ETC offers a full line of simulators that realistically replicate these phenomena, training pilots to identify and respond to threats. AND GYROLAB GL-4000 The ideal training device for unusual attitude recovery, spatial disorientation, motion desensitization and flight training. Available in a fixed or rotary wing configuration with a single or dual seat cockpit, the GL-4000 simulator has continuous and simultaneous motion in four axes of rotation with up to 6 Gs of sustained acceleration stimuli in any direction. The cockpit is interchangeable and fidelity is configured to each client s individual training needs. (www.etcaircrewtraining.com/gl4000) To learn about the specific tactical application of the GL-4000 called ATFS-300 PEREGRINE, visit us on the Web. (www.etctacticalflight.com/peregrine) GYRO IPT III Integrated Physiological Trainer This third generation simulator comes with increased payload capacity and proven subthreshold motion capability. Multiple custom cockpit configurations are available, and automated motion profiles provide a flexible training and research environment with repeatable scenarios. (www.etcaircrewtraining.com/ipt3) GL-6000 GRYPHON Disorientation Research Device The GRYPHON S unique motion capabilities including simultaneous motion cueing make it an ideal platform for STOL, STOVL and VTOL aircraft pilot training. The simultaneous rotational and linear acceleration capabilities provide the ideal research environment to explore more advanced flight scenarios in the safety of a ground based unit. (www.etcaircrewtraining.com/gryphon) THE ORIGIN: The GL-6000 GRYPHON Disorientation Research Device was specifically developed for the Naval Medical Research Unit Dayton, Naval Aerospace Medical Research Laboratory located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. GYROLAB GL-1500 The most cost-effective flight physiology training and research device available. The GL-1500 provides continuous and simultaneous motion in 4 axes of rotation with up to 2.5 Gs of sustained acceleration stimuli in any direction. Interchangeable cockpit configurations support the training needs of both rotary and fixed wing pilots. (www.etcaircrewtraining.com/gl1500)

HIGH-G TRAINING G-induced Loss of Consciousness (G-LOC) is a persistent threat that each pilot must manage during flight in a high-performance aircraft, particularly when engaged in a combat mission. To eliminate G-LOC, an aggressive G-training program is essential. With the ATFS-400, pilots can practice anti-g straining maneuvers in a tasksaturated environment while simultaneously experiencing the real physiological effects of flight just like a live, in-air mission. G-LAB ETC S G-LAB offers an array of optional features. The G-LAB is an acceleration physiology trainer with a passive roll system and ability to generate up to 15Gs at 8G/s, replicating the performance of today s tactical aircraft. (www.etcaircrewtraining.com/glab) AUTHENTIC TACTICAL FIGHTING SYSTEM (ATFS)-400 The ATFS-400 is a system with active pitch and roll capable of generating up to 20Gs with an onset of up to 15G/s. For maximum versatility, the ATFS-400 s interchangeable cockpits can simulate any aircraft of the customer s choosing and can function as a standalone simulator when not installed in the flyable motion base. Optional synthetic environments and avionics elements can be included to support tactical flight training. (www.etcaircrewtraining.com/atfs400) 360 FIELD-OF-VIEW VISUAL SYSTEM INTERCHANGEABLE COCKPITS ONSET RATE UP TO 15G/S TM For specific tactical applications, ETC offers the ATFS-400 PHOENIX Authentic Tactical Fighting System, which addresses the unique training concerns of tactical flight (www.etctacticalflight.com/phoenix).
