With extensive senior executive experience across banking and technology sectors, he has successfully transformed many marketing, sales and services functions in complex operating environments. Dr. Jenny Brockis Dr. Jenny Brockis is an expert in brain health and the science of high performance thinking. Passionate about all things brain she inspires her audience by translating neuroscience into simple practical tools that help people work smarter not harder. Sean MacFarlane Sean was admitted to practice in 1992 and joined Landgate in 2005. Specialising in strata and property law, Sean is now the Senior Lawyer at Landgate for Strata Reform and has been dedicated to reforming the Strata Titles Act 1985 (WA) for more than five and a half years. Mark Atkinson Mark is the Director of Atkinson Legal, WA's only specialist strata law firm. With over 22 years of experience in strata titles, Mark specialises in consulting, transactions, restructuring existing schemes, complex by-laws, compliance and risk management issues, and strata building defects litigation. Barry Urquhart Barry is a business strategist, consumer behaviour analyst, a top selling author and internationally respected keynote speaker. He is renowned for his strikingly accurate forecast in 2006 of the August 2008 onset of the Global Financial Crisis, and is a regular commentator of consumer issues on ABC and commercial radio. Barry has degrees in marketing, political science and sociology. Gihan Perera A futurist, author and consultant, Gihan has been working with business and thought leaders since 1997, helping with strategy for thriving in a fast-changing world. With a formal background in science, Gihan's interest is in people and how he can help them to become fit for the future, so they embrace change, act on opportunities and live happier lives.
PANELISTS Chris Duggan Chris is the joint Managing Director of the Bright & Duggan Group, owner operators of strata and facilities management brands across Australia. He is the current President of SCA (NSW), elected in 2016, and has been serving on the Board since 2012. Julie McLean Julie is a Director, Owners Corporation Manager & Trainer for Ace Body Corporate Consulting. Julie is the Immediate Past President of SCA (Vic) and has contributed invaluably to the Association over the last 13 years, with a focus on education at a national level for the last 5 years. Simon Barnard Simon is the Managing Director and Principle of Hartley s Body Corporate Management and in his 6th year as President of SCA (QLD). Simon has previously served on the SCA National Board and is engaged at an international level through many consultative groups and associations. Robert Craven Robert is the President of SCA (ACT), and a highly respected Strata Manager with over 6 years experience in the industry. Sitting on several Strata Community boards, he also supports the Canberra strata community as a Trainer, delivering the SCA A100 training program for Committees and Lot Owners. Beverley Grigo Beverley is a Director of Strata Asset Services, a family owned and operated strata management business. She has been actively involved in promoting the education and training of strata managers in WA for over 20 years. Beverley was made a Life Member of SCA WA in 2015 and is a Level 4 Fellow Strata Community Manager. Sheryal Griggs Sheryal has been in strata management since 1985 and was on the inaugural council of the then Strata Titles Institute of WA (STIWA), where she remained for 17 years and was President for 3 of those. She was made a Life Member of SCA WA in 2011 and is a Level 4 Fellow Strata Community Manager. Peter Munday Peter is a specialist consultant and trainer who provides advice and training in strata titles matters to real estate, property development, conveyancing and allied industries as well as to the general public of WA. Peter is a past chairman of the education and training committee and council member of STIWA. He is also a regular guest at CurtinFM to assist listeners on air with their strata title issues.
