ABOUT THE TUTOR: Mr Keith Walters CFIOSH, HND Chem Eng. Keith is a Registered Safety Practitioner, and a Chartered Fellow of the Institution of Occupational Safety has more than 30 years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, working for Shell UK Ltd and Shell International, having spent his early years in operational roles, and after a period in the Environmental section, Keith spent the last 20 years of his Shell career in Health and Safety Management positions, working both at home and abroad. He displays a high degree of initiative with a history of development and implementation of safety related projects which contributed to the high level of personal safety performance associated with the global Company. Personally trained to a high level in the field of "operational" safety (NEBOSH Diploma.), combined with Occupational Hygiene qualifications. (6 NEBOSH Preliminary certificates). He is also a qualified Lead Assessor of Quality Assurance Management Systems (BS 5750) Keith is one of the selected NEBOSH Examiner for the International Oil and Gas Certificate in the world and is instrumental in the implementation of behavioural safety training programmes in his former Company. He has carried out a number of health and safety management system reviews, and undertaken a series of health risk assessments. An articulate communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, who is comfortable when dealing with personnel at, and from, all levels of an organisation. He is currently working as a freelance Health and Safety trainer/consultant, with a proven track record in the field of health and safety training course development and delivery. Extensive experience in the delivery of NEBOSH and IOSH courses and uses extensive industrial examples to give training courses a practical, as well as informative, feel.
