Cutting Instructions Fabric A: SRKM-14583-62 (panel) Fussy cut one 22-1/2 x 40-1/2 panel (refer to quilt image for placement} Fabric B: SRKM-14589-62 Cut 2 strips 3-1/2 x 40-1/2 Fabric C: SRKM-14586-62 Cut 10 strips 1-1/2 x WOF (width of fabric) Cut 6 strips 2-1/2 x WOF (for binding) Cut 56 rectangles 2 x 3-1/2 page 1
Fabric D: SRKM-14587-62 Cut 14 rectangles 3-1/2 x 6-1/2 Fabric E: SRKM-14671-14 Cut 14 rectangles 3-1/2 x 6-1/2 Fabric F: Kona Oyster Cut 28 squares 2-3/8 x 2-3/8 Fabric G: SRKM-14584-62 Cut 28 squares 2-3/8 x 2-3/8 Fabric H: SRKM-14589-14 Cut 6 strips 4-1/2 x WOF Quilt Center: Assemble two 3-1/2 x 40-1/2 Fabric B strips and the 22-1/2 x 40-1/2 panel as Quilt Center should measure 28-1/2 x 40-1/2. Make one. Second Border: Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of the 2-3/8 Fabric F squares. With right sides facing, layer a 2-3/8 Fabric F square with a 2-3/8 Fabric G square. Stitch ¼ from each side of the drawn line. Cut apart on the marked line. Half Square Triangle Unit should measure 2 x 2. Repeat 27 more times. Make 56. First Border: Make one. Sew side first borders using the 1-1/2 x WOF Fabric C strips. Sew top and bottom first borders using the 1-1/2 x WOF Fabric C strips. Trim excess from borders and set aside. Assemble four Half Square Triangle Units as Pinwheel Unit should measure 3-1/2 x 3-1/2. Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of the 2 Fabric F squares and 2 Fabric G squares. With right sides facing, layer a 2 Fabric F square on the left end of a 2 x 3-1/2 Fabric C rectangle. Stitch on the drawn line and trim ¼ away from the seam. Repeat on the right end of the Fabric C rectangle with a 2 Fabric G square. Flying Geese Unit should measure 2 x 3-1/2. Repeat 55 more times. Make 56. page 2
Assemble two Flying Geese Units and one Pinwheel Unit as Middle Star Block Unit should measure 3-1/2 x 6-1/2. Assemble 4 Star Blocks and 3 Square Blocks as Top and Bottom Second Border should measure 6-1/2 x 42-1/2. Repeat one more time. Make 2. Make two. Assemble two 2 Fabric C squares and one Flying Geese Unit as Assemble 4 Square Blocks and 3 Star Blocks as Top/Bottom Star Block Unit should measure 2 x 6-1/2. Side Second Border should measure 6-1/2 x 421/2. Repeat 27 more times. Repeat one more time. Make 28. Make 2. Make twenty-eight. Make two. Assemble two Top/Bottom Star Block Units and one Middle Star Block Unit as Star Block should measure 6-1/2 x 6-1/2. Sew Side Second Borders. Sew Top and Bottom Second Borders. Third Border: Sew 1-1/2 x WOF Fabric C strips shorts ends together to create longer strips and cut to measurements below. Finishing: Piece 2-1/2 Fabric C strips end to end for binding. Quilt and bind as desired. Sew side third borders using 1-1/2 x 54-1/2 Fabric C strips. Sew top and bottom third borders using 1-1/2 x 44-1/2 Fabric C strips. Fourth Border: Sew 4-1/2 x WOF Fabric H strips shorts ends together to create longer strips and cut to measurements below. Sew side fourth borders using 4-1/2 x 56-1/2 Fabric H strips.
