COMMODORE TOM MULDARY My wife, Pat, and I are both psychologists, we have been married for 35 years, and we have lived at Devil s Lake for over 32 years. As members of the Devils Lake Yacht Club for many years, we have both served on the Board of Governors at different times and have tried to contribute in any way we could. Having served two terms as a Board member, one term as Rear Commodore last year, and one term as Vice Commodore this year, it is indeed an honor for me to now look forward to serving DLYC as Commodore in 2016. With all of the special events this year, it might seem that the 75 th Anniversary year will be a tough act to follow in 2016. However, since our Board of Governors is progressive and forward-looking, we tend to think that next year can be even better. While it is important to ensure stability and continuity across many areas, it is also important to improve in several areas, and this is what we will strive to do in the coming year. We might even be in a position to begin moving forward in some concrete way with our renovation plans. In any event, I think you can feel confident that DLYC will continue to be a dynamic and thriving place for everyone, and I intend to do my part in ensuring it. VICE COMMODORE MIKE APLING My name is Mike Apling and I am seeking your support for election to the board of directors for the Devils Lake Yacht Club. My wife Liz, daughter Katie and son Thomas enjoy all that the Yacht Club has to offer. My wish is to see the Yacht Club continue to flourish and serve future generations for years to come. Our family owns and operates Devils Lake Water Sports and has been part of the lake community for the past 28 years. I feel my understanding of the people and the area could be of some benefit to the board. Thanks for your consideration for me to this position

REAR COMMODORE DOUG TAGSOLD Doug has been a member of DLYC for the past four years, though he grew up spending many summers on Devils Lake and at DLYC during the 1960 s and 70 s. He has been DLYC s Fleet Captain for the past two years. Doug is the former owner and current manager of the Tagsold Chapel of the Wagley Funeral Homes in Blissfield and Adrian. He also serves on the board of directors of the Blissfield State Bank in Blissfield. An avid sailor, Doug and his wife, Diane, will most often be seen at the club either heading out to their Lightning sailboat Bullet or having a snack or meal in the club s dining room. Doug s hopes for the future at DLYC are for a continued family-friendly and family-affordable future for the club and for the continued growth of the Lightning sailing fleet and the junior sailing EXECUTIVE SECRETARY/TREASURER IRMA DAVID I have spent summers at Devils Lake my entire life, then moved here permanently in 2008. I worked in Accounting/Finance at Proctor & Gamble for 28 years and retired in 2003. I have been a member of DLYC since 2004 and have been Executive Secretary/Treasurer since 2006. I am active in the DLYC Auxiliary and have been a member of the Auction Committee and the sailing fleet.

RECORDING SECRETARY MIKE CLARK Mike was born in Adrian as the oldest son of Herb and Jane (Tibbs) Clark. Brothers John and Bill, sisters Barb, Patty, and Mary Clark spent summers at Devils Lake at our family cottage in Echo Cove. Mike attended Michigan State University from 1971 to 1975 and married his high school sweetheart, Terri (Youngs) 34 years ago. He and Terri have four daughters: Sarah, Melissa, Laura, and Elizabeth. In 1979 they purchased lakefront property in old Manitou Beach and then built their current home in 1987. The family moved to Novi in 1992 when Mike became a founding partner and co-owner of Air Center, Inc., an industrial distribution company based in Troy, Michigan. Mike is a former President of the Lakes Preservation League, a Regional Director of the Michigan Lakes and Streams Association, and was the Rollin Township Supervisor from 1986 to 1992. Since 1984 he has been Chairman of the Devils and Round Lakes Fireworks Display. In 2005 Mike became Commodore of the DLYC and has been an active board member since 2000, serving in various other capacities. As the Strategic Planning Committee Chairman for DLYC, he supervised the major renovation of the kitchen in 2006 and supervised the renovation of the DLYC Flag Room, foyer, and bathrooms in 2009.

CHARLIE DAHLKE My name is Charlie Dahlke and I am running for the Board. I have been an active member of the DLYC since 2011. I enjoy spending quality time at the club and meeting other members. It was an honor to be in attendance at the 75 th Anniversary Gala and it is my plan to be around for the 100 th! I live in Ottawa Lake with my partner Dan and we have a cottage on the north end of Devils Lake. We recently completed a major renovation on our cottage and now can finally enjoy lake life again. I am an alumnus of Central Michigan University (Go Chips!) and I am currently the Global Logistics Manager at First Solar in Perrysburg. My group is responsible for all the transportation purchasing and operation execution for raw material and finished goods shipments around the globe. I am truly blessed to be part of an organization that is bringing clean energy to all corners of the globe. For those of you that follow me on Facebook, you know my work travels have taken me around the world. But, there is no place on Earth like right here on Devils Lake. I want to become a member of the Board to ensure that the next generation s voice is heard and we shape the future of the DLYC to be a place that our friends and family will love and enjoy for decades to come just as we do today. Please let me know of any questions. Thank you.

TOM LOVE Tom moved to the Adrian area with his wife, Kathy, and two daughters, Julie and Susan, from southern California in 1977. He had been an active duty member of the US Air Force for 11 years as a pilot flying rescue C-130 aircraft. He then spent the next 28 years as a pilot for General Motors, flying various aircraft transporting GM executives around the country and the world until his retirement in 2005. Simultaneously, he continued his Air Force career with the AF Reserve for another 12 years, retiring from the USAF in 1989. Tom had numerous administrative duties in the AF and served on several quality improvement committees at GM. Tom acquired his Air Force Commission through ROTC while earning his Bachelors of Business Administration at the University of Notre Dame. He continued his education while on active duty, receiving a Master s Degree from the University of Southern California. Tom and Kathy joined Devils Lake Yacht Club in 2009. Besides enjoying the wonderful social atmosphere of the Club, Tom immediately took interest in the sailing fleet. Tom and Kathy had been cruising sailors for more than 20 years, but Tom wanted to try his hand at racing small boats. Tom has served the Club for the past two years as the Fleet Captain. In this position, Tom attends all Board of Governors meetings, giving him a unique perspective on the recent past and what is planned for the future of the Club. Tom respects the traditions of the Club and admires what the past Commodores and Boards have accomplished. He will continue in these traditions and would like to help lead the Club into the future. The membership is continuously growing and changing and Tom will make his decisions in the best interest of all members.

LAURA SCHAEDLER I am a Blissfield native and currently live in Tecumseh. As for my background, I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University and then a law degree from the Detroit College of Law. For almost 28 years I served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Lenawee County, specializing in sexual abuse crimes. In 2010, I was elected as Judge of the Lenawee County District Court, which is a position I have been honored to serve. After being a guest for several years, I became a member of DLYC four years ago and I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting other members and experiencing all that the club has to offer. For two years I have been actively involved in the Auction Committee, and I not only continue to look forward to being a part of such a meaningful endeavor, but I am also honored to be considered as a candidate for the Board of Governors. SHELLEY SHEPHERD My name is Shelley Shepherd and I am a Chiropractor in Adrian. I own Brown Chiropractic Center, PLLC, which was opened by my father in 1973. I graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas and joined my father in practice in 1990. In 2011 he retired and I bought the business. Serving the community of Adrian has and continues to be a great pleasure. My husband, Sean, and I have been married 23 years and have lived in Manitou Beach since 1998. In 2002 we were looking for a place to keep our pontoon boat and found Devils Lake Yacht Club. We have thoroughly enjoyed all that DLYC has to offer. If elected I would like to help continue the great traditions of DLYC and be part of guiding it s future.

DEBORAH VALENTINE Deborah Valentine holds the position of Director, Ethics & Compliance at Nippon Sheet Glass, a global glass manufacturer based in Tokyo. He remodeled it for year around living before their big move. Deb and Jack joined the Devil s Lake Yacht Club last year and Deb started actively attending the Auxiliary meetings this year. Deb says her experience at DLYC has been invaluable and she has met many new friends over the past year.
