SOFTWOOD COLLECTION High Quality Coating Systems for Windows and Doors Made of Wood
2
Content Native softwood such as spruce, pine and larch are beautiful. Many people purposefully decide on wood from native forests. It is especially easy to coordinate the appearance of windows and doors made of softwood to adjacent wood building elements such as facades, carports and roof eaves. And when it comes to thermal insulation, softwood is lighter and naturally has somewhat better properties than hardwood. It is also usually the less expensive version. With translucent coating systems from Remmers, softwood in particular can be decorated in brilliant shades of high grade timber. Dimensionally stable wood building elements made of softwood that are protected with Induline coating systems will be eye-catching details on any building and they will stay that way for a long time with very little maintenance. 04 Induline LW-700 05 No Need to Fear Bad Air 06 Remmers System Guide 08 Load Groups 10 Application Overview 13 Remmers Guarantee 14 3
INDULINE SW-900 Softwood Protected from the Bottom Up Permanently Good Softwood, especially sapwood parts, are often not sufficiently resistant against blue stain and other fungi that destroy wood. In many cases, the use of chemical preservatives is recommended and this should be discussed and agreed upon with the client in advance. Remmers has a state-of-the-art solution for this purpose that is approved throughout Europe (BPD), Induline SW- 900*, a product that can be easily integrated into the production sequence of manufacturing wood windows. Properties: Strengthens the surface Saves a lot of sanding work Protects against soft rot and blue stain Protects against moisture, also in end grain areas Makes fibres stand up and hardens them which Allows the fibres to be removed in the 1 st sanding operation Effective in application rates easily ap plied in practice (80 90 ml / m²) Range of use: For dimensionally stable as well as nonstable wood building elements For windows, exterior doors and cladding System products: / GW-201 / GW-208 Induline ZW-400 Induline LW-700 Induline DW-601 Induline Shade of colour Art. INDULINE LW-700 Brilliant, Highly Transparent and Durable The appearance and durability of a window surface mainly depends on the thick-layer stain that is used. Microfoam is often the cause of cloudy-looking coating films. And cloudy-looking coating films are not as resistant to environmental influences such as the impact of hail. Induline LW-700 stands out because of its excellent transparancy and it has been micro-foam optimised. Because of its highly elastic binders, even hail is not really able to harm the coating film and temporary water spots are not a problem either. Several years ago, the Austrian Wood Research Institute independently confirmed that Induline LW-700 is free of air bubbles (ÖNORM B3803). Properties: Highest possible brilliance and surface quality through micro-foam optimisation No water swelling (water spots) after drying Block-free up to at least 70 C Higher UV resistance Reliable colour stability Very good resistance to hail Range of use: For dimensionally stable wood building elements made of softwood and hardwood, e.g. windows, exterior doors, etc. For intermediate and finishing coats System products: Induline ZW-5xx Induline Shade of colour Art. NO NEED TO FEAR BAD AIR Perfect Room Climate in Tested Quality When humans stay in the rooms of buildings, their health and well-being not only depend on the climatic conditions that prevail in these rooms (especially temperature and relative humidity) but also on possible contamination of the indoor air. Remmers voluntarily had selected product systems independently tested according to the evaluation scheme issued by the German Committee for Health-Related Evaluation of Building Products (AgBB). The tested Remmers systems fulfilled the requirements of the AgBB evaluation scheme by a clear margin in regard to the emission of volatile organic compounds (VOC), including the limit value for formaldehyde. Benefits for customers: For manufacturers of CE-marked windows and doors (EN 14351-1): Clear statements on emission behaviour (at least for the coating system) can be made. With Remmers systems you are even on the safe side when it comes to the strict requirements on the quality of indoor room air, e.g. when the air could smell bad after coating inside brand new buildings or after renovation. 6

However, a corresponding formulation with these UV absorbers must be examined in each case and approved by Remmers. When these shades of colour are used, the Care Set must be used twice a year. ** Regardless of the surface coating and with an increasing risk when dark coloured coatings are used, bleeding resin cannot be prevented on species of wood that are rich in resin. Light bleeding of resin is natural and does not constitute a defect.

SYSTEMS WITH GUARANTEE No Renovation Coating for many Years The logical consequence of the superior properties of Induline Premium Coatings is the Remmers Guarantee for wood windows and doors. The safety that Induline Premium Coatings provide for wood windows and house doors in every step of the application process and the high quality standard of certified manufacturers of wood elements objectively oriented to important standards form the basis for our promise No restoration coatings for many years. But there are further important elements that make the guarantee to the quality assurance concept and valuable marketing instrument it is for the manufacturer of dimensionally stable wood building elements: Acceptance of the operation by a Remmers applications technician All production processes are precisely documented and recorded Systematic training of all involved employees Involvement of the consumer in maintaining the surfaces Remmers Guarantee Through the guarantee, active quality assurance is automatically carried out by the employees of dimensionally stable building element manufacturers well before they are marketed by certified companies. The guarantee helps the element manufacturer to position himself on the market as a quality supplier. In case of doubt, the guarantee is often the decisive factor for the award of an order and allows window & door manufacturers to demand higher prices on the market. 14
REGULAR CARE: The Remmers Care Sets, which were developed especially for house doors and windows, are an important component in the Remmers Guarantee. They are easy to use and extend restoration intervals as well as the service life of the coating: Sets containing cleaner and Care Balsam Closes micro-cracks (e.g. caused by hail) Streak-free on large surfaces Hardly any effect on the degree of gloss 15
