1. Prepare cab. Protect cab floor. Remove old cab interior walls. If installing a new ceiling, remove old ceiling and install new ceiling before proceeding (see separate ceiling instructions). Remove loose debris, paint, grease, and clean where reveals and toe kicks will be installed. If necessary, paint top 4 of all nonaccess walls with matte black paint (not included). 2. Install corner reveals (not applicable with front & rear cabs). Dry fit. Reveals are designed to sit about 1 below canopy to avoid trimming in field. Peel backing from tape. Put an end of the reveal on the floor and seat the reveal firmly against the wall. Remove protective film. 3. Install lower side wall flat reveals. Dry fit. Peel backing from tape. Put the end of the reveal on the floor with the taped edge closest to the return wall. Seat the reveal firmly against the wall. Remove protective film. 4. Install the upper side wall flat reveals. Dry fit. Peel backing from tape. Put the reveal against the lower reveal and the transom, with the taped edge closest to the transom. Remove protective film. 177 Panel Installation Instructions 2 of 5 2/26/18
5. Install toe kick flats (Layer 1) and add ventilation. Dry fit toe kick flat. Apply construction adhesive to toe kick flat between strips of foam tape. Peel backing from tape. Center toe kick flat between corners, overlapping the reveals, and place tight against floor. Press toe kick flat into place. Cut/drill any necessary ventilation (per code) above toe kick flat. 6. Install toe kick binders. Place the temporary toe kick spacers (supplied) on clean/flat floor. Rest toe kick binders on the spacers to set the height of the binders. To prevent damage to the binder, use the supplied drill guide. Drill through the end and center binder slots to create pilot holes in the cab shell. Using the supplied blunt tip screws, fasten the binders temporarily in place. 7. Check alignment. Lay a framing square over the toe kick binders in the corners and look for gaps. Check to see if the toe kick binders are square with the corner and at the same height. Tip: Temporarily installing the layer 2 panels (without construction adhesive), fastened with one screw each, will help with checking alignment/height (see step 11 & 12). 8. Make any necessary adjustments. If the toe kick binders are out of alignment or out of square, move the end of a toe kick binder up or down to compensate. Once adjusted, secure toe kick binders and double check alignment. 177 Panel Installation Instructions 3 of 5 2/26/18
9. Screw toe kick binders to wall. When the toe kick binders are properly positioned, drill pilot holes through the remaining holes and through the cab shell, using the drill guide (supplied). Shim any gaps and screw the toe kick binders to the wall using the blunt tip screws (supplied). Remove toe kick spacers and remove debris from toe kick binder. 10. Install first panel (Layer 2) in conjunction with panel binder (if supplied). Fit the tongue of the panel into the toe kick binder and temporarily hold in place. If panel binders are not provided move to step 11. Otherwise, slip the notch end of the panel binder over the toe kick binder until the bottom surfaces are flush. Fit the tab of the panel binder into the groove in back of the panel as you fit the panel in place. 11. Install first panel (Layer 2). Tilt layer 2 panel forward. Apply a dab (quarter size) of construction adhesive where indicated on the lower back of panel. Shim any gaps, drill pilot holes through cab shell using the drill guide (supplied), and fasten the panel to the wall using the blunt tip screws (supplied). 12. Install remaining layer 2 panels. Fit the tongue of the panels into the toe kick binders. Check alignment with square and adjust as needed by raising or lowering the ends. Apply a dab (quarter size) of construction adhesive where indicated on lower back of panels. Shim any gaps, drill pilot holes through cab shell using the drill guide (supplied), and fasten the panels to the wall using the blunt tip screws (supplied). 177 Panel Installation Instructions 4 of 5 2/26/18
Glue (typ.) 13. Install remaining panels (layers). Remove debris from joints and check alignment as you install remaining panels, one layer at a time. Apply a dab of construction adhesive where indicated on the lower back of panels. Shim any gaps, drill pilot holes through cab shell using the drill guide (supplied), and fasten the panels using the blunt tip screw (supplied). Alternative Arrangement w/ Vertical Upper Panels - Install remaining panels. Remove debris from joints and check alignment as you install remaining panels for each wall. Start on back wall. Install panels from left to right. On back of panels, apply a dab of construction adhesive as indicated by circles above. Adjust for panel alignment, square panels, drill pilot holes through cab shell using the drill guide (supplied), and fasten the panels using the blunt tip screws (supplied). Repeat for other walls. 14. Install top cap. The top cap is held to the wall by Dual Lock strips backed by adhesive. Clean cab shell where adhesive will attach. Remove backing from adhesive, put top cap in place, and press against wall until plastic strips hold it in place. 15. Clean cab. Remove any remaining stickers, painter s tape, and/or protective film. Wipe down the panels according to the Use & Care Guide. Put trash in supplied trash bag and give cab a general cleaning.
