George A. Snell, III, Snell Law Firm George attended Baylor University and Baylor Law School graduating in 1972 with BA and JD degrees. Since 1972, George has practiced law in Amarillo. He maintained a general practice, including litigation, until 1979. In1979, George joined an attorney who had been preparing title opinions for oil and gas purposes since 1966. George also limited his practice to the oil and gas and real property areas, focusing primarily on the preparation of title opinions for all purposes. George and his former partner, now deceased, have together prepared over 7,000 title opinions. From 1985 to 1991, he was one of the team of speakers teaching AAPL s Certification Review course. He taught NADOA s Certification Review course from 1993 to 1996. George has spoken at many other industry seminars for landmen, division order analysts and bar associations. Many of his articles have been published in The Landman. Since 1989, George has served on the Texas Bar s Title Standards Joint Editorial Board. While George is not a member of a firm in the traditional sense, George has put together a network of title lawyers in 21 states who work together for both business and writing purposes. George has lived in Amarillo, TX with his wife Bonnie for 44 years. In addition to golf, his hobby is speaking at industry events. George and Bonnie have one son, Grant who lives in Kalispell, MT, with his wife and two children, ages 5 and 2. Grant is a member of the Crowley Fleck law firm and maintains an estate planning and small business practice. Dr. Richard Denne - founding chair holder of the Hunter Enis Chair in Petroleum Geology at TCU Energy Institute Dr. Denne is a graduate of the University of Iowa, and received his Ph.D. in geology from Louisiana State University in 1990. He has worked as a geologist in the oil and gas industry for over 25 years, working with integrated teams at Exxon and Marathon Oil in the exploration and production of hydrocarbons from deep-water basins across the globe. Recently, he has also been heavily involved in unconventional shale plays. His current research is focused on organic-rich rocks, especially those from the Cretaceous of Texas and the Eagle Ford / Woodbine system in particular. He has also published on the effects of the Chicxulub asteroid impact that caused the extinction of the dinosaurs. r.denne@tcu.edu Dr. Ken Morgan, Director of the TCU Energy Institute Dr. Morgan obtained degrees in geology, environmental engineering and resource management before starting his career as a professor at TCU in 1978. In 1981, he started and became Director of the TCU Center for Remote Sensing and Energy Research for energy resource mapping. Dr. Morgan has lectured extensively throughout the U.S., Europe, Asia and the Middle East about resource mapping, energy technology and emerging natural gas markets. In 2008, he founded and became Director of the TCU Energy Institute and established an Advisory Board of 24 energy companies. He is also the Director of TCU¹s new School of Geology, Energy and The Environment. Ken has published numerous articles on the potential use of domestic natural gas in the U.S. He currently chairs the Texas ³Metroplex NGV Consortium² of over 100 companies and

helped lead the successful legislation for the Texas NGV Transportation Triangle, Texas Senate Bill SB-20. Johnson, Attorney, Hamilton & Squibb Matthew Johnson joined Hamilton & Squibb after graduating magna cum laude from St. Mary s University School of Law. Licensed in both Texas and North Dakota, his practice focuses primarily on oil-and-gas and real-estate related matters. While attending law school, he clerked for a leading North Dakota law firm, where he primarily focused on legal issues related to the Bakken shale formation. In addition, Mr. Johnson interned with the Honorable Judge Edward C. Prado of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Mr. Johnson was born and raised in Dallas, Texas.
