Surveys will be completed near the proposed access road corridor from approximately Highway 7 (near Nahanni Butte) to the Prairie Creek Mine. Migratory bird, collared pika, and plant community/rare plant surveys are proposed during three field events from mid-may to late September, 2017. Wildlife and plants will be surveyed primarily using ground-based surveys. However, some wildlife and plant communities will be recorded from a helicopter. No wildlife will be captured during the field surveys. Attached for your review is the Wildlife Research Permit Application Form.
