In the complex world of LPG and LNG, EXMAR Group has developed innovative means of handling, storing, transporting and trans-shipping gas and chemicals in both liquefied and gaseous states. EXMAR Ship Management not only operates and maintains these specialized assets, but also supports the final stage of construction and takes care of commissioning, delivery and certification of new-builds. We manage half of the world s FRSU fleet and are ready to operate the world s first floating liquefaction, regasification and storage unit. EXMAR Academy s trainers bring your crew the benefit of technical and management expertise combined with know-how and experience gained on a diversified fleet of gas tankers and specialized offshore units. 2
ISO-certified maritime training partner in Antwerp The impact on crew training of new STCW 2010 (Manila Amendments) requirements coming into force as of 2017, has inspired EXMAR Ship Management to establish EXMAR Academy. This training institute is ISO 9001 certified by Lloyd s Register. It is the logical result of our tradition of in-house crew training and skills development by our own highly experienced staff officers. They have been trained and coached in turn to educate colleagues and to transfer technical knowledge linked to practical know-how. Today we share our broad base of in-house expertise and experience and our global network to offer quality trainings to the entire maritime industry. MCRM, liquefied gas and beyond The core of EXMAR Academy s offer currently consists of Maritime Crew Resource Management (MCRM - BRM/ ERM) training and Specialized Training for Liquefied Gas Tankers. Our trainers are experts in both topics as these programmes have been mandatory for all EXMAR Ship Management deck officers and staff engineers and recommended for all other engineers for many years. Of course we teach other topics too apart from the above trainings. Courses can be organized at request and on behalf of third parties as well. Contact us with any specific questions! We tailor our services to your needs and establish a longterm partnership with your organisation. -VLGCs - Midsize and pressurized LPG carriers - LNG carriers - Floating Storage and Regasification Units (FSRU) - First Floating Liquefaction Unit (FLNG) 3
