Say: Moses learned how God keeps his promises when he saw a burning bush. Let s pray to God now. Would anyone like to pray before I pray? Dear God, thank you for keeping your promises. It feels good to know that you are always with us. Amen. Say: Raise your hand if you love to read stories! I have fun reading with you. Let s read now. Read it: The Burning Bush: Page 98 Make it Stick: Whenever you hear Moses s name, Baa like a sheep. Give everyone a Burning Bush Coloring Sheet. Talk about today s story until everyone is done coloring. Ask: Can you imagine seeing a burning bush? What would you do if you saw one? Say: Today, we are starting a new series all about colors! Let s go on a hunt for our color of the day, green. Look around the room and raise your hand if Play Simon Says Moses style! Tell the kids to do different motions that go with the story. Start with these, Say: Moses says to you see something that is the color green. Let get on all fours like the sheep in the story everyone take turns listing items. If you run out of wave your arms like a burning bush items, list your own items and have your group tell slide on the ground like the snake you if they are the color green. (Ex. Ask: Are trees walk around the room like you are herding green? Are bugs green?) Keep playing until LARGE sheep Group. Keep playing Moses Says until every kid gets picked up.

September 8-10: Wk 2 Ages 3-5 Side 1 Side 2 Make sure any first-time kids have their First Time Guest Card! Say: It sounded crazy, but Moses trusted God to keep him safe in the ocean. Let s pray to God now. Would anyone like to pray before I pray? turn, tell us your name and if you like to swim in the ocean. God, thank you for loving us. Help us trust you every day. Amen. Say: Raise your hand if you love to read adventure stories! God wrote a lot of adventure stories in the Bible. Let s read one now. Say: We are going to use these puppets on popsicle sticks and the 2 pieces of blue paper to act out today s story. Lay the two pieces of blue Read it: The Red Sea: Page 111 Make it Stick: At the end of the story, clap and cheer for what God did. paper beside each other, this will be the sea. Slowly separate the water like God did. Let everyone take turns holding the puppets, and separating the sea. You can even have everyone make crashing water noises as the sea separates. Say: We are having fun with colors all month long. If you are wearing the color red, stand up. Awesome job, sit down. If you are wearing the color blue stand up. Name as many colors as you can think of. If you get through them all, Say: Stand up if [color] is your favorite color. Keep naming colors until LARGE Group. You can act out the story, using the puppets, until every kid gets picked up.

September 15-17: Wk 3 Ages 3-5 Side 1 Side 2 turn, tell us your name and something that makes you laugh really hard. Say: Sara and Abraham had to wait a long time for a baby. But God kept his promise and gave them the baby they were waiting for! Let s pray to God now. God, thank you for keeping your promises. Help us be patient while we wait. Amen. Say: Raise your hand if you like to read funny stories! Stories can make you laugh out loud. Let s read a funny story from the Bible! Read it: The Visitors: Page 46 Make it Stick: Whenever you hear Abraham s name, Give everyone an Abraham Coloring Sheet. Say: While Abraham was looking at the stars, God promised him he would have a baby. Let s draw stars in the sky in this picture. Have you ever tried to count the stars? cry like a baby. Say: Abraham and Sara had to wait a long time for God to give them a baby. But, they knew he would keep his promise! Let s do a waiting activity. Say: I m going to tell you a movement but listen closely because I may ask you to stop what you are doing and wait while you are doing it. Ask: How long can you Everyone jump. Now wait good job waiting, hold open your eyes without blinking? now jump again. Now wait now let s spin. Keep hold your arms out to the side without putting listing different movements and asking your them down? group to wait. Do this until every kid gets picked stand on one foot? up. (Optional movements: pat your head, hop on stand completely still without moving? one foot, sing lalala,,flap your arms like wings, Keep playing until LARGE Group. turn to a friend and shake their hand)

Thank you for keeping your promises. Amen. Say: Raise your hand if you love to read stories where there is a hero! Stories can show us how powerful God is and how he is our real-life hero. Take out your Animal Card Set. Lay them upside down in the center of your group. Say: Noah had to fill his boat with 2 of every kind of animal. We Read it: Noah s Ark: Page 26 Make it Stick: Whenever you hear Noah s name, make the noise of your favorite animal. are going to find 2 of every kind of animal too! Let every kid have a turn flipping 2 cards over at a time to try and get a match. Keep playing matching until every kid gets picked up. Say: We are in a colorific series about colors that are all around us. Let s go on a hunt for our color of the day, red! Look around the room and raise your hand if you see something that is the color red. Let everyone take turns listing items. If you run out of items, list items and have your group tell you if they are the color red. (Ex. Ask: Are cupcakes red? Are books red?) Keep playing until LARGE Group.

Say: We are going to sing, Row, Row, Row Your Boat while we walk around our circle. You can change up this game by singing other animal songs like Mary Had a Little Lamb, Three Blind Mice or Old Macdonald Had a Farm.
