Executive biographies John F. Schultz EVP, Chief Legal and Administrative Officer and Corporate Secretary John is Executive Vice President, Chief Legal and Administrative Officer and Corporate Secretary for Hewlett Packard Enterprise. In this role, John heads the Office of Legal and Administrative Affairs, which comprises a variety of organizations including the Legal, Ethics and Compliance, Global Real Estate, Procurement, Corporate Services, Corporate Affairs, Cyber Security, Global Security Services and Aviation functions. John was appointed General Counsel of Hewlett-Packard Co. in 2012 and became General Counsel of Hewlett Packard Enterprise after HP separated into two separate companies in the fall of 2015. He joined HP in 2008, serving as Deputy General Counsel for Litigation, Investigations and Global Functions. Before joining HP, John was a partner in the litigation practice of Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP, focusing on complex litigation and primarily defending consumer class-action, fiduciary liability, and technology-related commercial litigation. He was previously a partner at Drinker Biddle & Reath, where he also specialized in commercial and product liability litigation. John currently serves on the Board of Directors of Umpqua Bank, which is headquartered in Portland, Ore., and New H3C Corporation, a Hong Kong corporation. John also serves as a Director on the Boards of Equal Justice Works, The National Legal Aid & Defender Association, The Law Foundation of Silicon Valley and Haiti Outreach. John also serves as a Trustee of Albright College and as a member of the Legal Services Corporation s Leaders Council. John holds a bachelor s degree from Albright College and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School Nick Gunn Senior Vice President, Global Corporate Services As Senior Vice President of the Global Corporate Services function at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Nick has worldwide responsibility for HPE s real estate portfolio; non-production and services procurement; and enterprise-wide programs, such as travel; car fleet; and environment, health and safety. Nick s organization is accountable for enabling HPE growth by contributing to the company s bottom line, enabling revenue, and driving operational excellence while mitigating risk. Nick held the same role at HP, prior to the company s separation into two companies: Hewlett Packard Enterprise and HP Inc. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President of Global Procurement, functioning as chief procurement officer for Hewlett Packard s multibillion-dollar annual spend for non-production goods and services. His responsibilities included the supply chain supporting the Enterprise Services trade business, as well as all procurement to run the enterprise (including Third Party Labor, Technology, Real Estate, HR, Travel, Marketing, Sales and Contact Centers). Under Nick s leadership, the organization evolved into one of the largest and most diverse procurement organizations in the world. He transformed his organization to align more closely to the needs of customers and stakeholders to deliver HP a competitive advantage in the marketplace. In addition to his procurement background, since joining HP in 1989 Nick has held a wide range of global and regional leadership roles supporting enterprise customers including integration services, business development, and logistics. A graduate of the University of Bournemouth in the UK, with a degree in Business and Information Technology, Nick and his family reside in Roseville, California. 3
Elizabeth Joyce Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer Elizabeth is Vice President and CISO at HPE. She is responsible for building world-class, extensible security capabilities that protect HPE s assets and workforce, as well as enable and extend business capabilities. All aspects of information security strategy, architecture and operations; product security, information and threat management; governance, risk and compliance; third party assessment; identity and access management; security transformation and training fall under her purview. Previously, Elizabeth was the Chief Information Security Officer for HP s Software Division, where she was responsible for end-to-end security and infrastructure services. She joined HP through its Autonomy acquisition where she was the Chief Security Officer and Group Operations Infrastructure leader. Earlier on, she held leadership roles at Iron Mountain as the Senior Vice President for Worldwide Service Delivery in charge of all aspects of post-sale delivery, and, at Symantec as Vice President & General Manager for Enterprise Services Americas with P&L and operational responsibilities. She started her career as technical consultant for executive information systems, middleware solutions and security in the US and Europe. Elizabeth has led large operational and small technical teams, and has successfully executed several turnarounds improving solutions through innovation and focus on delivery excellence, ensuring customer satisfaction as a priority while meeting profitability targets. She holds a Ph.D. in information security from University of Plymouth, UK and BSc in Computer Science Honors from University College, Dublin. Glenn Leon Senior Vice President, Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer Glenn is Senior Vice President and Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer for HPE. He oversees the strategy and implementation of HPE s ethics and compliance program, which includes ethical decision making based on HPE s Standards of Business Conduct and both internal and external investigations. His team is also responsible for social and environmental sustainability and compliance, privacy, and the HPE Foundation. Prior to joining HPE, Glenn was a Deputy Chief of the Fraud Section of the Criminal Division at the U.S. Department of Justice, where he led investigations involving allegations of securities fraud, FCPA violations, bank and mortgage fraud, and money laundering. Prior to that, he worked for twelve years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, investigating and prosecuting white collar, organized crime, and homicide cases. Glenn earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law, and graduated from Brandeis University, magna cum laude, with a degree in Economics. 4
Kristin Major Senior Vice President, Employment, Brand Protection, Global Security and Global Aviation Kristin and her team of attorneys and other professionals provide legal counsel and support on all legal matters related to Employment and Human Resources, IT and Cyber Security. She also leads the Brand Protection, Global Security and Global Aviation teams. Before joining Hewlett Packard in December 2011, Kristin was a labor and employment counsel at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in Palo Alto, California, where she represented employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. Chambers USA Women in Law Awards recognized Kristin as Pro Bono In-House Lawyer of the Year 2014. She was recently given the Community Champion Corporate Counsel Award by the Silicon Valley Business Journal and was a finalist for the 2013 Rising Star Award. Kristin is very involved in pro bono work and currently serves on the Boards of Community Legal Services in East Palo Alto and Fresh Lifelines for Youth. She is also the co-chair of the HPE Office of the General Counsel s Pro Bono Committee. Kristin holds a J.D. degree from Georgetown University Law Center and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona. Gregg Melinson Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs Gregg was appointed Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs, for the Hewlett Packard Enterprise in September of 2013, after having spent the preceding two years driving HPE s political and public policy agenda and supporting the growth of HP s Public Sector business as HPE s Vice President for Global Government Affairs and Deputy General Counsel. In his role, Gregg manages an interdisciplinary global team of professionals in government relations, sustainability, social innovation, and corporate philanthropy all of whom come together to advance HPE s objectives as a corporate citizen in the more than 170 countries where HPE lives, works, and changes the world for the better. Prior to HP, Gregg was Chief Marketing Partner at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, a 700-lawyer national law firm headquartered in Philadelphia, PA, where Melinson led all strategic client development activities and helped double firm revenue between 2005 and 2010. Among his other duties at DBR, Melinson had what he calls the honor and privilege of serving HP as outside counsel on a variety of litigation and other matters, while also providing political and lobbying guidance to the HP Government Affairs U.S. Federal, State & Local teams. A 20-year veteran at DBR, who founded and led the DBR Government Affairs practice, Gregg took time from the firm to serve as deputy general counsel to former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge. In that capacity, he represented Governor Ridge and other administration officials in federal and state court litigation, while also overseeing the work of several hundred lawyers in the Governor s Office of General Counsel. Gregg has a long and distinguished record of civic and charitable engagement, and he also has written and spoken on a number of topics, including economic competitiveness, international business strategy, election law, and advocacy in administrative rulemaking. He has lectured at the Stanford University on the role of boards in overseeing corporate political activity. He appeared regularly on local television and radio broadcasts to discuss the political landscape and other current topics. He currently sits on the executive committees of the boards of directors of the Information Technology Industry Council and TechNet. Gregg holds a J.D. degree from the Duke University School of Law and graduated maxima cum laude with a B.A. from La Salle University. Along with his wife, Pam, and their two sons, JP and Austin, Melinson resides in Pennsylvania. 5
Molly Perry Chief Operating Officer, Office of Legal and Administrative Affairs Molly is the Chief Operating Officer for the Office of Legal and Administrative Affairs at Hewlett Packard Enterprise based in Palo Alto, California. Prior to her role as COO, Molly was Director of Operations for HP s Intellectual Property team and held positions in HP s Corporate Strategy group, as well as strategy and planning roles in HP s Enterprise business. Prior to joining HP, Molly held financial management positions with Convex Computer Corporation, including worldwide controllership functions, public reporting, and worldwide tax strategy and compliance. Before the move to Convex, Molly was a director with Arthur Young (now Ernst & Young) in Dallas, Texas where she practiced as a Certified Public Accountant, focused on airlines and technology industries, and multinational tax planning. Molly is a graduate of the University of Texas in Austin. Rishi Varma Senior Vice President, General Counsel Rishi serves as General Counsel and oversees Hewlett Packard Enterprise s legal department globally. He and his team handle, among other things, HPE s corporate governance, strategic acquisitions, divestitures and investments, litigation, intellectual property, commercial contracting, sales and supply chain issues, securities law compliance and disclosure, treasury and financing transactions, and certain other corporate transactions and restructurings, bankruptcy, credit and collections matters and employee compensation and retiree benefits. From 2013 2017, Rishi served as Deputy General Counsel overseeing HPE s corporate, securities and M&A practice. Before joining HPE, Rishi served as general counsel for two different publicly traded companies from 2005 to 2013 TPC Group, Inc., a petrochemical company, and Trico Marine Services, Inc., a global subsea service provider. During his time at Trico, he also served in additional management roles including chief operating officer and president. Prior to these companies, Rishi served as securities counsel and director of investor relations for EGL, Inc., a publicly traded global freight forwarder (2002 2005), and as a business associate in the New York office of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, LP (1998-2002). Rishi holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Georgetown University Law Center and also graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science.
