GGT-570 General Instructions Introduction: The GGT-570 Rose Joint kit suits both Ford and Opel Rose Joints, it is suitable also for use on European and imported vehicles. In this booklet we have provided information and photos to enable the qualified repairer to easily carry out the repairs either in-situ or out of the vehicle. The Press master and the GGT-570 kit is also suitable for various suspension bush replacement and other applications that are within its recommended working limits. General Maintenance: Lubricate threads and bearing regularly. Excessive tool loading and the use of air tools will shorten the life expectancy of the Press master. Safety: Please observe safe working procedures and use Safety Glasses and Gloves Warranty: This tool is covered by a 3 year warranty against manufacturing defects. Note: The Thrust Bearing, Threaded Rod and washers are not warranty replacement items. Replacements are available from approved resellers. 2 of 12
Ford Upper Rose Joint Removal. To remove the upper rose joint, remove the top mounting bolt. Remove the boot completely and the boot retainer. Install the kit as shown. Ensuring all adaptors are correctly aligned; tighten the 32mm nut on the Press master while holding the 27mm nut. The Rose Joint will usually give way with a loud crack this is because of the extremely tight fit. Make sure you are pressing the correct way, as it only goes out and in ONE WAY 3 of 12
Ford Upper Rose Joint Install: Remove the boots from the new Rose Joint; Fit the Rose Joint onto the threaded rod with the correct adaptors as shown below. Note: Using the incorrect adaptors will damage the Rose Joint. Use the Press master to install the joint, holding the 27mm nut and tightening the 32mm nut. After fitting, refit the boots ensuring there is sufficient Lithium grease in the joint. Note; Before fitting check the bore of the suspension housing is clean and free from any burrs or damage. 4 of 12
Ford Lower Rose Joint Removal: Remove the wheel and remove the lower mounting bolt. Hold the brake and hub assembly out of the way. Remove the boots from the Rose Joint; fit the adaptors and the Press master as shown below. Note: The Joint only goes in and out one way. Do not try to hit the Joint out with a hammer as it will lock into the arm tighter and damage could occur with the Joint mount alignment. 5 of 12
Ford Lower Rose Joint Install: Remove the boots from the new Rose Joints; fit the Rose Joint onto the GGT-570 threaded rod with the correct adaptors as shown below. Note: Using the incorrect adaptors will damage the Rose Joint. Tighten the Press Master to install the joint. After fitting, refit the boots ensuring there is sufficient Lithium grease in the Joint. Note; Before fitting check the bore of the suspension housing is clean and free from any burrs or damage. 6 of 12
GM / Opel Upper Rose Joint Removal: Remove the wheel and remove the upper arm mounting bolt. Hold the arm up out of the way and remove the Rose Joint Boots. Fit the GGT-570 adaptor kit as shown below and remove the Rose Joint by tightening the 32mm nut on the Press Master. Note; Do not use the threaded rod nut to remove the joint; stripping of the threads will occur. 7 of 12

GM / Opel Lower Rose Joint Removal: Remove the wheel and remove the mounting bolt. Hold the arm up out of the way and remove the Rose Joint Boots. Fit the GGT-570 adaptor kit as shown below and remove the Rose Joint by tightening the 32mm nut on the Press Master. GM / Opel Lower Rose Joint Installation: The installation is carried out with the boots removed, so as not to damage them. Note; Be sure you have clean tools and work area. Fit adaptors as shown. Note: Using the incorrect adaptors will damage the Rose Joint. Tighten the Press Master to install the joint. After fitting, refit the boots ensuring there is sufficient Lithium grease in the Joint. Note; Before fitting check the bore of the suspension housing is clean and free from any burrs or damage. 10 of 12
