Army Composition Warhammer 40k 1500pt Primary Force + 500pt Allied Detachment Primary Force -Maximum 25% of the army may be HQ choices, but you MUST include at least 1. You may not take more than 2 of the same type. (Example: You may not take 3 Farseers, even if their loadouts are different.) -Minimum 25% of the army must be Troop choices -Maximum 50% of the army can be combined Fast Attack or Elites Choices. You may have no more than 3 of the same type of unit regardless of loadout or unit size differences. -Maximum 25% of the army may be Heavy Support. You may have no more than 3 of the same type of unit regardless of loadout or unit size differences. Allied Detachment -Follows normal force organization rules with the exception that you only require 1 troop choice, and do not require a HQ choice. If you elect NOT to take a HQ choice, you must have a Sergeant model (Eldar: Exarch, Tau: Shas whatever, etc.) to represent the detachment leader. -The force may be from ANY army in Warhammer 40k. It may even be from the same book as your primary force. -The Allied Detachment, regardless of which book it s from, counts as an Ally of Convenience. Note: Armies that can justify their alliance with player written or explained fluff, will get better theme points towards the theme prize. -Forgeworld is permitted, but only those models which are GW approved as indicated in the Imperial Armour books by the Aquila stamp. This includes Aeronautica. -They may not be super heavies, apocalypse only, or have structure points.
Army Composition Warhammer Fantasy 2250pt Primary Force + 500pt Allied Detachment Allied Detachment -May be taken from any other legal Warhammer Fantasy book including the same book that your Primary Force is chosen from. -Your allies require a minimum of 25% core, aside from that, there are no restrictions on what you can spend the rest of the points on, save for the detachments leader, as described below. -If you elect not to use a Hero or Lord, your army must include a unit champion of some fashion to act as the detachment leader. He will count as the general for the detachment and follows the rules for a general as per the rulebook. NOTE: This means the detachment will NOT gain the benefit of the general from your primary force. -Any Wizards in the Allied Detachment may only use up to ½ of the power dice generated in any given magic phase rounding up. (You generate 7 Power Dice, a Wizard in the detachment may use up to 4, but does not steal these from the pool automatically) -Any Power or Dispel dice channelled by a wizard can only be used by magic users in that force. (A wizard in your Primary Force cannot use a dice channelled by a Wizard in the detachment) -Spells that are cast on friendly units may target allies as normal. -You may not take duplicates of magical items between the Detachment and the Primary Force. -The detachment MAY NOT gain the benefit of the Battle Standard Bearer from the primary force. Note: Armies that can justify their alliance with player written or explained fluff, will get better theme points towards the theme prize. -Fozzrik s Folding Fortress may not be taken -All Battle Standard Bearers have the ability to take any mundane equipment the hero would normally be allowed to take. -Players may have a maximum of 12 Power Dice per magic phase. -Any unit that is under ¼ strength or fleeing, but not routed at the end of the game counts as ½ victory points for the purposes of calculating victory.
Tournament Scoring Army List Composition -Each list will be reviewed by a council of organizers and will be put into tiers based on relative list strength. These tiers will modify a player s generalship score by a small factor. -Each list is put into 1 of 5 tiers. Tier 1 being the most competitive and tier 5 being mostly fluffy and lightly competitive. -We realize that the power of lists is subject to the opinion of each individual person so the points swing will be minor. The difference is meant to be a tie breaker in the case of generalship ties. -Army lists must be submitted by May 20 th,lists submitted before May 20 th will get a bonus 5 points to their overall score. Generalship (60% overall score) -Scores will be accumulated throughout the tournament based on your performance in each game. -There will be bonus objective cards that each player will choose before the game begins. These contain extra objectives that will add 5 points to the player s final generalship score for that game. Painting (20% overall score) -Army painting scores will be assigned by a single judge during the tournament. These painting scores will go towards your overall score. -Each player will be asked to display their army on the 2 nd day at lunch. Players from the opposite system will then walk over and vote for which army they think looks the best. These votes will go towards the Best Painted prize. Sportsmanship (20% overall score) -Players will be given a sportsmanship score each game. It should reflect the player s demeanour, not the final result of the game (a loss doesn t always make it a bad game). -At the end of the second day, each player will vote for who he thought was the best sportsman. This goes towards the Best Sportsman award.
Best Theme -Given to the player who presents his army list or fluff in the most creative way. Example: Last year, one player presented his Beastman list on disgusting rag, and written in chaos runes. Painting Contest -$5 Entry Fee for NON-tournament players -Anyone may enter, tournament players get free entries. -Anyone may put models into any and all categories they want. -There is no division between Fantasy and 40k. All models are voted on and there is only 1 prize per category between each system. Single Small Model Any single model from either system Single Large Model Any monster, tank or larger model Best Squad / Unit Any group of models who belong to a single squad or unit from either system.
