Daniel G. Harrington CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER AND PRESIDENT Daniel G. Harrington co-founded Becknell Industrial in 1990 and serves as Chief Executive Officer and President. Dan oversees the strategic direction of all aspects of the Company including capital structuring, business development and property operations. He has created a full-service vertically integrated business platform at Becknell that provides development, construction, leasing and property management services. Under Dan s leadership, Becknell has grown from one build-to-suit warehouse for Nabisco to over 150 business distribution properties representing more than 20 million square feet, primarily for single tenant build-to-suit customers. A twenty-year real estate industry veteran, his development track record includes the development, construction and ownership of facilities in 33 states. He has been instrumental in the formation and ongoing management of key banking and institutional investor relationships, including multiple joint venture funds with an institutional partner. Prior to joining Becknell Industrial, Dan served as a Partner in the law firm of Harrington and Tock and currently serves as Becknell s Corporate Counsel. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois and received his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida. Dan is a member of the Champaign County and Illinois State Bar Associations and the Florida Bar Association and is involved in a number of civic and community activities in Illinois and Florida. Matt Cohoat EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER Matt Cohoat was named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Becknell Industrial in January 2011. Mr. Cohoat oversees strategic planning, corporate administration, risk management, human resources, IT and capital management. He also is responsible for all accounting and financial reporting functions including: Property, Construction and Consolidation accounting systems and records. A thirty-year real estate industry veteran, Matt is widely recognized for his management of key banking and institutional investor relationships. Prior to joining Becknell Industrial, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Duke Realty Corporation, where he was employed for over 18 years. In addition, Matt also spent eight years as a Senior Manager at Ernst and Young. Matt received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Purdue University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is Chairman of the Board at Cathedral High School, a Board Member at United Way of Central Indiana and serves on the Advisory Board at St. Mary s Child Center. J. Mark Shapland EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER Mark Shapland was named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Becknell Industrial on January 2011. Mr. Shapland joined Becknell in 2008 and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Company s real estate portfolio, including new leasing, build-to-suit projects, acquisitions and portfolio management. He provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure the Company has the proper operational controls and people in place to promote financial strength and operating efficiency. Mark is focused on strategic planning for the future and collaborates with Becknell s management team to establish initiatives, develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes and people designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of the Company. A twenty year banking and real estate industry veteran, Mark is widely recognized for his real estate investment expertise and key institutional investor relationships. Prior to joining Becknell Industrial, he spent 17 years in commercial real estate lending. The last eleven years he served as Senior Vice President - Credit Administration with Park National Bank, a $4 billion Chicago-based bank. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois and received his M.B.A. in Finance from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in 1993. Craig Kouri EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, PRINCIPAL - CONSTRUCTION & DESIGN Craig Kouri was named Executive Vice President, Principal - Construction & Design of Becknell Industrial in January, 2011. Mr. Kouri joined Becknell in 2001 and has been the Company s architect of record on more than 40 building projects across the United States. He is responsible for providing and overseeing architecture services, job cost estimating, bid review and project management. A licensed architect in 30 states, Craig brings more than 17 years of experience designing large and complex industrial buildings. He offers a unique perspective to the Company, handling all coordination with other project architects, engineers and construction managers. Prior to joining Becknell, Craig began his career in Atlanta, Georgia working for a small architecture firm that focused on retail, commercial and corporate office projects. He also spent two years in Toledo, Ohio as an architect working on large institutional projects, including schools and university buildings. Craig obtained his bachelor of architecture degree from Kent State and has previously volunteered his time to the Literacy Volunteers of America. He is currently active in his church, volunteering at various events throughout the year, serves as President on the Board of Directors of his condo association and coaches various youth baseball teams. Pete Anderson EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, PRINCIPAL - INVESTMENTS Pete Anderson was named Executive Vice President, Principal-Investments of Becknell Industrial in January 2013. Mr. Anderson joined the Becknell team in 2011 and oversees the Company s property investment activities that are essential to the growth of the portfolio. His focus is to identify acquisition opportunities that complement the Company s existing assets and allow Becknell to foster new relationships. With more than twenty-years of commercial real estate and law experience, Pete s skill set and market knowledge includes fifteen years of direct acquisition, leasing and development experience throughout the Midwest, Southeast and East Coast. Prior to joining Becknell Industrial, Pete served for three years as a top ten broker at Cassidy Turley in Indianapolis. He also previously spent more than 13 years at Duke Realty Corporation, where he held numerous positions relating to the acquisition, development and leasing of Duke s industrial, office and medical office portfolio. During his tenure, Duke s portfolio grew from five cities and approximately 15 million square feet to 14 cities and more than 100 million square feet. Pete is a graduate of Purdue University and received his JD/MBA from Indiana University. He is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Booth Tarkington Civic Theater and is President of the Hoosier Fellows Leadership Program Alumni Association. Dan Fogarty SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT - DEVELOPMENT Dan Fogarty was named Senior Vice President, Development of Becknell Industrial in June 2015. Mr. Fogarty is responsible for identifying, pursuing and directing new build-to-suit and speculative development opportunities across the U.S. In this capacity, Dan maintains a strong network with national and local brokerage firms and is responsible for directing all relationships with stakeholders involved in each project. A 20-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry, he has extensive experience in acquisitions, leasing, asset management and ground-up development. Prior to joining Becknell Industrial, Dan served for eight years as Vice President and Market Officer at Conor Commercial Real Estate in Rosemont, IL where he was charged with the management of all existing industrial and office projects within the Midwest, as well as identifying new investment opportunities. Prior to his tenure at Conor, he also worked as a Vice President at InSite Real Estate in OakBrook, IL and Director of Leasing at First Industrial Realty Trust in Chicago, IL. Dan is a graduate of Northern Illinois University and received his MBA from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL. He is a associate-member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) and on the Membership Committee of the Industrial Asset Management Council. Shona Bedwell VICE PRESIDENT - MARKETING AND CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS Shona Bedwell was named Vice President Marketing and Corporate Communications of Becknell Industrial in January 2011. Ms. Bedwell is responsible for all aspects of corporate marketing and communications including the development of all in-house marketing materials, graphic design, website, internal and external communications, budget and administration oversight, event management and community outreach. In this capacity, Shona works closely with management and individual departments to support business development, existing account management, brand expansion, and client service excellence. Prior to joining Becknell Industrial, Shona served as Assistant Vice President Investor Relations for Duke Realty Corporation where she was responsible for managing the strategic planning, on-going development and coordination of all investor relation activities to broaden and increase the shareholder value and enhance the company image with the investment community. In addition to developing investor relations communications and serving as the primary point of contact for investor issues, she also developed overall investor relations policies and procedures. Shona received her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Indiana University. Derek Hawkins VICE PRESIDENT - INVESTMENTS Derek Hawkins was named Vice President Investments of Becknell Industrial in January 2015. Mr. Hawkins joined the Becknell team in 2012 and is responsible for the execution of both acquisition and development opportunities that help drive the growth of the Company s portfolio. His focus is on coordination of due diligence activities, financial analysis and serving as a liaison between the Company and its capital partner. During Derek s tenure at Becknell, he has been involved in the execution of transactions in excess of $230 million and 4.5 million square feet. Prior to joining Becknell, Derek spent 8 years in commercial real estate financial planning and analysis. The last 6 years he served as a Senior Financial Analyst at Simon Property Group, a Real Estate Investment Trust with a market capitalization in excess of $60 billion. His primarily responsibilities included financial analysis and investment committee presentations for redevelopments of regional malls within the portfolio along with underwriting of acquisitions of new malls. Derek started his real estate career in 2001 with Beazer Homes as a Controller for land acquisition and development activities. Matt Hubert VICE PRESIDENT - LEASING Matt joined Becknell in 2014 and is focused on leasing the national portfolio of existing buildings in addition to select speculative projects around the country. Matt also assists in managing tenant relationships as well as handling the day-to-day operations of Becknell assets. A 15-year real estate veteran, Matt has spent time representing the interests of both ownership and investor groups. Prior to joining Becknell, Matt was part of JLL Chicago s national industrial capital markets team where he was responsible for sourcing and underwriting industrial investments for institutional clients. Prior to his tenure at JLL, Matt was part of the corporate real estate team at R.R. Donnelley & Sons. Matt holds an MBA from the Charles H. Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University and bachelor s degrees in Accountancy and Information Management from Western Illinois University. He is a member of NAIOP- Chicago chapter and the DePaul Real Estate Alumni Alliance. Matt is active in coaching youth sports and President of the Men s Club at his local parish.
