DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY DELHI PLACEMENT BROCHURE 2017-2018 COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING
It is with great pleasure that I introduce the students of Communication Engineering graduating next year after going through the 2- year M.Tech course. Communication branch in IIT Delhi is one of the most advanced in the country where focus is given to both research and applications. The students have completed their core courses which has built a solid platform upon which they can proceed with their projects. The projects will mould them further so they can achieve specializations within their chosen sub-field. They will be ready for the industry where they will strive undeterred towards advancement and excellence We cordially welcome you to be a part of the placements this year and hope to create and strengthen the relationships between our institutions Dr. Seshan Srirangarajan Coordinator for Comm. Branch
Rapidly developing area with newer algorithms and techniques constantly paving their way in. Much sought after field, both from a research as well as real-world application point of view. With more and more systems relying on remote operations and automations, communication is becoming an integral part of a plethora of applications. Since any system works with signals, processing them to extract the maximum information is vital.
The communication stream consists of 19 faculty members who work on a variety of fields and have immeasurable knowledge and expertise on the subject. They are engaged in both fundamental and applied research, leading to important publications and the execution of several sponsored projects. The students are chosen through a national examination followed by a personal interview process. Thus, only the eligible, enthusiastic and perspicacious individuals are allowed to become a part of this group Engineers pursuing M.Tech in Communication Engineering at IIT Delhi focus and specialize in one or a combination of the following 3 branches: Communication Systems Wireless, Optical, Microwaves and Antennas Information and Signal Processing DSP, DIP, Multimedia, Computer Graphics and Vision, Sensor Arrays, Speech and Human-computer Interface Networks - Telecommunication Technologies, Broadband systems, Computer Communication networks
Communication rarely exists by itself. They come into the world through a combination of hardware and software. It thus involves other domains through which the full capabilities of the techniques can be brought out and exploited. Students of this branch thus have working knowledge and experience in multiple domains some of which are listed below: C and C++ Python Machine Learning Embedded Systems Fabrication Techniques (e.g. Photolithography)
