The 44 th Annual Homosassa Arts, Crafts, and Seafood Festival In Old Homosassa A JURIED SHOW Sponsored by the Homosassa Civic Club, benefiting local charities. SATURDAY & SUNDAY NOVEMBER 10th &11th, 2018 (Exhibitors must exhibit both days, Saturday 9am 5 pm, Sunday 9am 4:30 pm) NOTICE: Our Rules and Regulations for participation in our show will be strictly enforced. No buy and sell vendors will be accepted. JUDGED ARTIST: (Eligible for awards) Includes two dimensional arts e.g. Painting, Photography, Digital Art and three dimensional arts e.g. Pottery, Wood Carvings, Metal, Sculptures, Stained Glass and Fine Jewelry. Only original works of the Artist may be exhibited. All paintings should be appropriately framed or mounted. Those not framed may be displayed portfolio. Fine quality lithographs and prints are permissible. Unacceptable to show: paintings on velvet, or mass-produced works. HANDCRAFTS: Only original works of the Crafter may be exhibited. Paintings should be appropriately framed or mounted. Those not framed may be displayed portfolio. Fine quality lithographs and prints are permissible. Creative crafts include handcrafts, wood, folk art, leather, candles, shell craft, driftwood, crocheting, knitting, clothing, jewelry, soaps, and lotions. All items will be strictly juried for handcrafting prior to acceptance. EDIBLE CRAFTS: Only original homemade recipes will be accepted. Examples of accepted edible crafts: nuts, dips, rubs, sauces, vinegars, honey, jellies and wine.
AWARDS for Judged Artist BEST OF SHOW: $2,200.00, plus free booth at 2018 Show First Place, $1,200.00 Second Place, $800.00 Third Place, $500.00 Three Judge's Honorable Mention, $180 each APPLICATION DEADLINE: September 15, 2018 Notification of entry acceptance by: September 30, 2018, via e-mail. MUST ACCOMPANY ALL APPLICATIONS: a minimum of three photos of your work, plus one photo of your display must be submitted with your completed application and applicable entry fee. Photos submitted must represent the work you intend to display. Photos of accepted artists and handcrafters will be used for recheck purposes and returned to you on Friday, November 9, 2018 after exhibit setup. Print your name clearly on back of photos. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE EMAIL Enclose a self-addressed stamped business envelope. This is for the acceptance/rejection letter. ALL COMMUNICATIONS FROM FESTIVAL PERSONNEL WILL BE BY EMAIL UNLESS OTHERWISE REQUESTED AS ABOVE ARTIST ENTRY FEE--$180.00 HANDCRAFTS and EDIBLE CRAFTS ENTRY FEE--$140.00 INSTRUCTIONS: Your check will be returned if you are NOT accepted to exhibit. EXHIBIT SPACE, RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. Only artists and handcrafters displaying their own work may participate. No buy and sell vendors or items will be accepted. No stand-ins, dealers, agents, or wholesalers. Artist must be with their display during judging. Judging will be conducted Saturday, November 10th beginning at 8:30 am. Award placement notification and ribbons will be presented Saturday, November 10th, 2018. Monetary awards will be presented Sunday, November 11th, 2018. 2. No spaces will be shared. A two-person team producing one item qualifies as a single exhibitor. 3. SPACES are approximately 12 X 12. CANOPIES ARE REQUIRED. You must stay within your allotted space and are responsible for keeping the exhibit area clean. Spaces may be road berm and are not always level, come prepared. 4. The show does not provide tables, canopies or electricity. GENERATORS ARE NOT ALLOWED. 5. Sorry no pets are allowed in show. (Service animals excepted) 6. Security will be provided. 7. Exhibitors must collect and report Florida Sales Tax 6% 8. Daily permit parking for one vehicle per booth will be provided for exhibitors. NO RV PARKING IS AVAILABLE. Maximum trailer size is 12 ft. Please complete vehicle description form and return with your application. 9. Your signed application is a binding commitment to exhibit for 2 days and NO REFUNDS will be made for cancellation. 10. Show will NOT be canceled due to weather. No Refunds. 11. All exhibit setup is to be completed between12 noon and 7:00 PM on Friday, November 9, 2018. 12. No break down on Sunday before 4:30 pm.
