Order Changes Order changes must always be confirmed to Demco in writing and are subject to the company s ability to conform. Demco will issue a new Order Acknowledgment for each change. Lead times may be adjusted by Demco if necessary to accommodate order changes. Acknowledged orders will be changed without penalty prior to their production. Administrative and/or labor charges may be incurred by the customer depending upon the production stage of the order. ORDERING INFORMATION Cancellation of Orders By submitting an order to Demco, you are accepting responsibility for beginning the procurement of products wherein returns or cancellations of customized products are generally not allowed. You may not cancel an order, in whole or in part, without the written consent of Demco. No cancellation will be accepted by Demco except on terms that will fully indemnify and reimburse Demco against loss, including recovery of all costs incurred by Demco, and including indirect and overhead charges and profit. Special Marking and Packaging Custom crating, marking, palletizing or export packaging is subject to special pricing; and quotations must be made in advance of order placement. Contact Demco Customer Service to determine exact charges. Shipment Terms ColorScape products ship FOB destination. Payment Terms You hereby give Demco permission to make all the reasonable inquiries into your credit history. Following such reviews, Demco will notify you of the payment terms for your orders, which will be one of the following: Net 30 Days If these terms apply to you, all amounts due under this contract shall be paid within 30 days following your receipt of an invoice. 25% Down, Net 30 Days If these terms apply to you, you must pay 25% of the contract upon notice from Demco of the terms of payment, and the remaining amount due shall be paid within 30 days following the receipt of an invoice. 50% Down, Net 30 Days If these terms apply to you, you must pay 50% of the contract upon notice from Demco of the terms of payment, and the remaining amount due shall be paid within 30 days following the receipt of an invoice. 100% Down or Payment Bond If these terms apply to you, all amounts due under this contract shall be paid upon notice from Demco of the terms of payment. Alternatively, you may provide a payment bond or other security acceptable to Demco. If you are required to make a down payment under the preceding payment terms, Demco will not process your order for Products under this contract until such down payment is received by Demco. You agree that you will not withhold payment of any amount due because of any other claims or set-off you may have against Demco. Damaged Shipments Demco s responsibility for shipment shall cease upon delivery to the carrier. Any claims for damages or loss occurring in shipment shall be made by Demco on your behalf directly to the carrier. All other claims for damages, defects, loss, shortages or incorrect Products must be made within fourteen (14) days after receipt of the Products, unless otherwise agreed by the parties in writing. Your failure to make any claim within the specified time period will result in the unconditional waiver of that claim. Demco reserves the right to accept or reject any claim in whole or in part. Demco shall not be responsible for any defects caused by your willful or negligent acts, incorrect storage or installation of the Products, or normal wear and tear. ORDERING INFORMATION Taxes Any manufacturer s sales or excise tax, or any other tax or government charge now or hereafter levied upon the products, sales or use or shipment of goods shall, at the Company s option, be charged to the customer. Warranty Demco warrants to the original purchaser only will be free from defects in material and workmanship, given normal use, for a period of five (5) years from the date of the initial delivery on the terms and conditions set forth below. If such a defect is found to exist during the warranty period, the original purchaser's sole remedy will be the repair or replacement, whichever Demco selects, of the product at no cost to the purchaser. All replaced products or product parts shall become the property of Demco. The purchaser shall promptly notify Demco of any defect. No product will be accepted for warranty work without prior written approval of Demco's authorized personnel. Defects resulting from abuse, misuse, improper storage, alteration, unauthorized repair or failure to follow published instructions for use or assembly are not covered by this warranty. No corporation, firm, or individual is authorized to incur or assume for Demco any liability in connection with the sale, installation, or use of products except as stated in this warranty. There are no other warranties relating to products expressed or implied, including any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, and in no event shall Demco be liable for incidental or consequential damages. SHELVING Wood & Laminate GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS ColorScape Wood & Laminate shelving is a modular shelving system using a starter and adder design. Adder sections are designed to fasten to the uprights of both the starter section and other adders. Our unique shelving system is designed with a series of corner connecting components, including corner shelves and benches that make it easy to create interesting shelving arrangements. See our seating sections for bench specifications. CONSTRUCTION & MATERIALS All vertical uprights of shelving will be 1" thick veneer core plywood, A grade, red oak or maple and shall be faced with.050" thick high pressure laminate on both faces. End units shall receive wood grain laminate on the outside face and a standard ColorScape colored laminate on the inside face. Intermediate panels shall receive a standard ColorScape colored laminate on both faces. Uprights shall receive a 3mm PVC external edgeband. All Flat Shelves: Kiln dried 3 4" thick solid red oak or maple glued up in strips of no less than 3 4"W and no more than 2"W, and free from structural defects. All display shelves will be 3 4" thick and shall be faced with.050" thick high pressure laminate and receive a solid red oak or maple retaining edge. Starter (STR) sections will have two vertical uprights and will be 37" in total width. Shelf pin holes shall be 8mm in diameter and shall be bored on 32mm centers on the inside of each end panel. Adder (ADR) sections shall have one vertical upright and will be 36" in total width. Holes shall be bored on 32mm centers on both sides of the adder panel with the same configuration as end panels. Shelf Pins: 5 16" in diameter and 1" in length and shall fit into the upright using the smooth side. The flange prevents the shelf pin from being dislodged and reduces the shelf pin sagging. The underside of the shelves shall be machined with slots to fit over the threaded end and flange portion of the shelf pins to prevent them from accidentally dislodging. Top Frames: 35" wide by the depth of the shelving specified and constructed of red oak or maple veneer plywood with a cornice board that is 3 4" x 2 3 8" x 35". The top surface shall be faced with.050" thick high pressure laminate selected from a standard ColorScape colored laminates. This laminated top frame shall be captured by the cornice board and sit 3mm below the outer edge of the upright. Bottom Frames: 35" wide by the depth of the shelving specified and constructed of red oak or maple veneer plywood and doweled. Each bottom frame will have a toe kick that is 3 4" thick x 3 1 4"H x 35"W. The toe kick can be specified with silver laminate or solid red oak or maple and shall recess 1 4" from edgeband of the uprights. The bottom shelf will lock into place by retaining strip attached to the underside of the shelf and extend over the toe kick. Back Panels: All shelving will be supplied with a 1 4" thick red oak or maple veneered plywood backs. Back panels of single faced shelving will be fully finished on one side, and panels of double faced shelving shall be fully finished on two sides. Backs will slide into a groove machined into the uprights. Slatwall Panels: 1" thick laminated panels and faced in one of the ColorScape standard laminate selections. Each panel receives a black plastic slatwall groove insert 3" on center and can accommodate any standard slatwall accessory. Panels are edged with 3mm PVC as per project requirements. Each panel has four (4) 3 4" thick plywood supports on the backside of the panel and shall slide into the shelving frame at an 80 degree angle from the bottom shelf. SHELVING Wood & Laminate FINISH SPECIFICATIONS Wood All exposed surfaces of wood components are inspected and hand sanded to remove machine marks, excess glue, scratches, and/ or other imperfections prior to the finishing process. Spray on finish: Each part goes through a six step finishing process, beginning with application of color and ending with two applications of precatalyzed lacquer. The top coat will be highly resistant to abrasion, scuffing, sunlight, boiling water, alcohol, nail polish remover, mustard, ketchup, tea, ink, soft drinks and juices. The components of assembled items will have a matching finish when exposed. ColorScape standard finishes are Natural Maple, Natural Oak, Medium Oak and Cherry. UV finish: Each part goes through a six step finishing process, beginning with application of color and ending with two applications of Ultra violet light cured, solid resin clear coat. The top coat will be highly resistant to abrasion, scuffing, sunlight, boiling water, alcohol, nail polish remover, mustard, ketchup, tea, ink, soft drinks and juices. The components of assembled items will have a matching finish when exposed. ColorScape standard finishes are Natural Maple, Natural Oak, Medium Oak and Cherry. Plastic Laminate Laminate components shall be surfaced with.050" high pressure plastic laminate and will comply with the requirements of NEMA LD 3, grade GP 50. As a standard, plastic laminate is applied to all uprights, display shelves, canopy tops and slatwall back panels when specified. A maximum of four (4) laminates may be selected per shelving unit including the wood grain laminate for the exterior end panel. Toe kicks can be specified as ColorScape standard wood veneer or ColorScape standard silver laminate. If laminated toe kicks are preferred, ColorScape silver laminate shall be the fifth laminate. Laminates that match with our standard wood finishes are as follows: Mobility Natural Maple on Maple WilsonArt Kensington Maple (10776-60) Natural Oak on Oak WilsonArt Castle Oak (7928-38) Medium Oak on Oak WilsonArt Solar Oak (7816-60) Cherry on Oak Formica Victorian Mahogany (7583-58) ColorScape double faced shelving units up to 48"H may be specified with a mobile frame. The mobile frames are constructed of a solid steel welded frame with ball bearing wheels for safe mobility. The maximum length recommended for mobile ranges is 6' 0" or one (1) starter and one (1) adder. TABLES Wood & Laminate GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS ColorScape tables are comprised of tabletops that are constructed of 1 1 8" thick 45 lb. density industrial grade particleboard core and four (4) 2 1 4" square wood legs. ColorScape tables are offered with round, square, rectangular and wave tabletop shapes in a variety of sizes. CONSTRUCTION & MATERIALS All work surfaces shall be laminated with.050" thick high pressure laminate and.020" thick backer sheet glued to the opposite faces for a finished thickness of 1 1 4". Tops will be banded with a 3 4" solid hardwood external edge. The edgeband will be of sufficient width to provide a 1 2" drop edge beneath the table core to conceal mounting plates. Tabletops 60" long or more shall receive one 14 gauge, V shaped steel keel that will be 5 1 2" shorter than the overall table length. Tops longer than 72" in length shall receive a fifth leg at the center of the table and V shaped keels along the length. All ColorScape table legs will be 2 1 4" square, glued up red oak or maple with a 1 4" radius on all edges. Legs will have 1 3 4" diameter threaded leveling glide which is mounted in a countersunk and recessed T nut. Legs will be attached to the tabletop by means of a 5" x 5" x 1 2" steel plate. A threaded steel barrel nut will be inserted on the inner corner of the leg approximately 2" from the top. A 5 16", #18 3" machine bolt will pass through the 1 2" steel plate down through the top of the leg and into the barrel nut, firmly securing the two pieces together. A #10 x 1 1 4" flat head wood screw is then set into the plate and leg to prevent the two pieces from turning. This assembly is then attached to the tabletop with three 5 16" #18 x 1" hex head machine bolts, screwed into three T nut inserts embedded in the underside of the tabletop. ColorScape 4 leg tables are available in three (3) standard heights: 25"H, 27"H and 29"H. FINISH SPECIFICATIONS Wood All exposed surfaces of wood components are inspected and hand sanded to remove machine marks, excess glue, scratches, and/ or other imperfections prior to the finishing process. Spray on finish: Each part goes through a six step finishing process, beginning with application of color and ending with two applications of precatalyzed lacquer. The top coat will be highly resistant to abrasion, scuffing, sunlight, boiling water, alcohol, nail polish remover, mustard, ketchup, tea, ink, soft drinks and juices. The components of assembled items will have a matching finish when exposed. ColorScape standard finishes are Natural Maple, Natural Oak, Medium Oak and Cherry. UV finish: Each part goes through a six step finishing process, beginning with application of color and ending with two applications of Ultra violet light cured, solid resin clear coat. The top coat will be highly resistant to abrasion, scuffing, sunlight, boiling water, alcohol, nail polish remover, mustard, ketchup, tea, ink, soft drinks and juices. The components of assembled items will have a matching finish when exposed. ColorScape standard finishes are Natural Maple, Natural Oak, Medium Oak and Cherry. Plastic Laminate Laminate components shall be surfaced with.050" high pressure plastic laminate and will comply with the requirements of NEMA LD 3, grade GP 50. As a standard plastic laminate is applied to work surfaces and shall be selected from the ColorScape standard laminate color card. DISPLAY Wood & Laminate GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS ColorScape Wood & Laminate Display products are designed to coordinate with the ColorScape shelving and furniture pieces. These pieces provide additional storage and merchandising opportunities for special collections, while occupying a minimal amount of floor space. BROWSER TABLES & BROWSER BOXES Browser tables are constructed of 3 4" thick plywood bases with 3mm PVC edgeband. The tabletops are 3 4" thick laminated top with a 3mm matching wood grain PVC edgeband. As a standard the tabletop laminate shall be selected from the ColorScape standard laminate color card. Tabletops are available in (3) different shapes; Circle, Square and Freeform. The radius on the Freeform table matches the Circle to allow the tables to nest together. End of Range Browser Boxes and the center browse boxes of the tables are constructed of 3 4" thick laminated divider panels that shall have a radius top edge. These panels are edged with a 3mm PVC edge to match project specifications. Each side of the divider panels is laminated in one of the ColorScape standard laminates. A maximum of two (2) laminates may be selected for the divider panels. A third laminate color may be selected for the Browser tabletop surface. Dimensions The browser table overall height is 22 1 2". Each unit has four (4) compartments, each measuring 10 3 4" square x 8 3 4" deep. End of Range Browser Boxes are available in two (2) heights; 15"H & 18"H. The overall unit measures 23 3 4" square with four (4) divided compartments measuring 10 7 8" square x 8 3 4" deep. 4 and 6 Compartment Mobile Browser Boxes accommodate up to 25 picture books in each top compartment and up to 30 picture books in each bottom, spine out compartment. 2 Tier Pull Out Browser Boxes accommodate 15 books in each upper level bin and 22 books in each lower bin. OPAC DISPLAY UNIT OPAC Display Units are constructed of 1" thick veneer core panels. The faces of all panels are laminated with one of the ColorScape standard laminates. The edges of all panels shall receive a 1 4" thick hardwood edge in either red oak or maple to match project specifications. All top, side and bottom shelves shall be glued and doweled together. The central display column of the unit shall be fitted with four (4) 20 gauge sloping steel shelves that pivot on shelf pins on two sides for a total of eight (8) shelves per unit. Steel shelves shall be finished in ColorScape Standard Silver powder coat. Each unit shall be fitted with two (2) work surfaces that cantilever off each end panel of the central column. The top of the work surface shall be 39" above the finished floor. A 2" diameter grommet shall be supplied in the central column end panels just above the work surface to accommodate computer cords. The work surfaces shall be constructed on 2" thick veneer core and finished with a standard ColorScape wood grain laminate. The work surface shall be edged with a 1 4" thick hardwood edge in either red oak or maple to match project specifications. The approach side of the work surface shall receive a 37" radius. The CPU cabinet below each work surface shall receive (2) inset perforated doors with locks on each side of the cabinet. As a standard the perforated doors shall be faced with ColorScape standard silver laminate. The unit may be specified with either 4"H x 1 1 2" diameter steel legs finished in ColorScape standard silver powder coat or with 100mm locking swivel top plate casters in gray. Casters shall have a 225 lb. load rating per caster. Dimensions The OPAC Display Unit has an overall dimension of 68"H x 49"W x 23 1 2"D. Each work surface measures 23 1 2"W x 18"D. DISPLAY Wood & Laminate CHILDREN'S FREESTANDING DISPLAY ColorScape Children's Freestanding Displays are constructed of 3 4" thick plywood end panels. The exterior face of each end panel is laminated in a ColorScape standard woodgrain laminate and the interior surfaces can be selected from one of the ColorScape standard laminate colors. The maximum of two (2) laminates may be selected for the end panels. The top panel is constructed of 3 4" thick plywood laminate on both faces and is edged with a 3mm PVC to match project specifications. The top surface of the panel shall receive a solid laminate selected from the ColorScape standard laminate colors and the undeside shall receive the coordinating woodgrain laminate to match the solid wood edge. The bottom panels are constructed of 3 4" thick plywood and laminated with the coordinating woodgrain laminate on both faces. Bottom panels are edged with a 1 4" thick hardwood edge in either red oak or maple to match project specifications. Back panels are constructed of 3 4" thick plywood and laminated on both faces with the coordinating woodgrain laminate selected from the ColorScape standard laminate colors. Each panel shall receive a freeform cutout that is centered between each shelf. The edge shall be sanded and stained with a natural finish exposing the plywood edge. End panels, top panels, bottom panels and back panels are glued and doweled together. Two sides of the tower shall be fitted with fixed open shelves laminated in the coordinating woodgrain laminate and finished with a 3mm PVC edge. The end panels of the tower shall receive freeform shaped display boxes. The display box protrudes 3 1 4" off of the face of the end panel. The freeform shape is laminated on both sides in a solid colored laminate selected from the ColorScape standard laminate colors. A maximum of two (2) laminated may be selected so that each side of the unit receives a different colored display box. The exterior edge of the freeform shape is finished with a coordinating 1mm woodgrain PVC edge. The interior edge is finished with a 3mm PVC edgeband. The tower is supported 6" above the finished floor on 2" thick solid wood legs fitted with adjustable glides. Dimensions The ColorScape Children's Freestanding Display is available in two (2) heights: 37 1 2"H and 50 1 2"H. The overall footprint of the unit is 25 1 2"W x 26"D. The 37 1 2"H Display shall be fitted with two (2) open shelves on two faces for a total of (4) shelves. The open shelves shall have a clear space of 12"W x 13 1 2"H. Each end panel face shall receive (1) freeform display box for a total of two (2) per unit with a clear opening of 13 1 2" square. The 50 1 2"H Display shall be fitted with three (3) open shelves on two faces for a total of six (6) shelves with a clear space of 12"W x 13 1 2"H. Each tower receives four (4) 1 1 2" diameter steel legs with 1 4" 20 threaded standoffs for connector bolts that attached to the end panels. Each leg is fitted with a threaded adjustable glide. Legs are epoxy powder coated in ColorScape standard silver finish. Each of the four faces of the tower is furnished with steel shelves that tilt and pivot on shelf pins and rest on a fixed wood flat shelf at the base. Each shelf is 11"W x 14"H. Shelves are epoxy powder coated in ColorScape standard silver finish. Dimensions The ColorScape Display Tower is available in two (2) heights; 54"H and 69"H. The overall footprint of the unit is 21 1 2" square. The 54"H tower shall receive three (3) steel shelves per face for a total of twelve (12) shelves per unit. The 69"H tower shall receive four (4) steel shelves per face for a total of sixteen (16) shelves per unit. FINISH SPECIFICATIONS All exposed surfaces of wood components are inspected and hand sanded to remove machine marks, excess glue, scratches, and/ or other imperfections prior to the finishing process. Spray on finish: Each part goes through a six step finishing process, beginning with application of color and ending with two applications of precatalyzed lacquer. The top coat will be highly resistant to abrasion, scuffing, sunlight, boiling water, alcohol, nail polish remover, mustard, ketchup, tea, ink, soft drinks and juices. The components of assembled items will have a matching finish when exposed. ColorScape standard finishes are Natural Maple, Natural Oak, Medium Oak and Cherry. UV finish: Each part goes through a six step finishing process, beginning with application of color and ending with two applications of Ultra violet light cured, solid resin clear coat. The top coat will be highly resistant to abrasion, scuffing, sunlight, boiling water, alcohol, nail polish remover, mustard, ketchup, tea, ink, soft drinks and juices. The components of assembled items will have a matching finish when exposed. ColorScape standard finishes are Natural Maple, Natural Oak, Medium Oak and Cherry. Plastic Laminate: Laminate components shall be surfaced with.050" high pressure plastic laminate and will comply with the requirements of NEMA LD 3, grade GP 50. As a standard, plastic laminate is applied to all end panels and the top panels or work surfaces and can be selected from the ColorScape Laminate Color Card. A maximum of three (3) laminates may be selected for each unit.
