September see event calendar. Lots of events for Kids, Families and Adults. Want to get the word out and asking NAMA to help promote the events and NAMA member businesses. Doing a mixer this month on September 21 st 5:00-7:00 Looking for donations from businesses to make the events more successful and they will promote the business. Tommy Holland: Career Day Organization. New organization to help High School students Wanted to reach out to local businesses that have practical real life experience to show students and get them one step closer to know what they want to do for a career path. Aim is to have someone once every other week share what they do how they run their business. This would be held at the school after classes. Another avenue businesses could take is to let students come to their business and see the ins and outs of a day. Interested business should contact Dawn Pease. They will promote it within the student population.

Mike Coakley: Knights on the Run 6 th year running October 22nd Wanted to thank NAMA for continuing to support the North Andover Athletic Association. Biggest fund raiser is the Knights on the Run 5K 450 participants. They have the elementary schools compete and the school that wins gets to keep the cup for the year. Everyone that enters the race is eligible for a drawing from prized donated by local businesses. NAMA will be putting together the bags of merchant materials Committee Reports 1. August Mixer Recap- Multi Chamber and Merchant Organization Mixer at the Andover Country Club a. Very large turn out b. Olympic Themed 2. September Mixer Stevens Coolidge Place September 21 st a. 3. Sports Scholarship Fund Report a. Have been fulfilling requests for help for kids b. Requests are paid through the Booster club when approved c. Have paid out donation to 20 kids this month. 4. Fall Festival Committee update a. Almost 60 vendors signed up already b. 4 food vendors and looking for more c. Things are all on track 5. New Santa Parade Fundraiser a. Market Basket Shopping Spree b. $20 a ticket selling 750 tickets c. 1 grand prize is 3 minutes in Market Basket d. 2 nd place prize is $500 gift card e. 5 drawings of $100 gift cards f. Hope to raise $10k from this event g. Drawing is December 3 rd Shopping spree is December 10th New and Continued Business 1. Santa Parade EJ Foulds a. Saturday after Thanksgiving 12:00 b. Hoping to build it up this year c. Weather last year hurt the turn out and participants 2. Knights on the Run donation a. Motion to make a $500 donation Sylvie Foulds, Second: Lois McGinness 3. NAMA booth at Knights on the Run. a. Merchant promotional items for bags b. Need about 4 or 5 volunteers to help out 4. Multiple Employer Plan for 401k group proposal a. NAMA member Tom Licciardello approached us to see if we wanted to set this up b. Will need at least 2 members with 10 or more full time employees c. If interested contact Dawn and we can take the next steps to set up 5.
