Dr. Donald F. Kuratko (Dr. K) The Jack M Gill Distinguished Chair of Entrepreneurship Professor of Entrepreneurship; Executive & Academic Director Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation The Kelley School of Business Indiana University, Bloomington, IND Dr. Donald F. Kuratko (known as Dr. K ) is a prominent scholar and national leader in the field of entrepreneurship authoring or co-authoring over 190 articles on aspects of entrepreneurship and corporate innovation in journals such as Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Operations Management, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Family Business Review, and Small Business Economics. Professor Kuratko has authored 30 books, including one of the leading entrepreneurship books in the world today, Entrepreneurship: Theory, Process, Practice, 10th ed. (2017), as well as Corporate Entrepreneurship & Innovation (2011) and Innovation Acceleration (2012). In addition, Dr. Kuratko has been consultant on Corporate Innovation to a number of major Fortune 500 corporations and he was the Co- Founder and Executive Director of the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers (GCEC). Dr. Kuratko was selected one of the Top Entrepreneurship Professors in the USA by Fortune magazine. Professor Kuratko has been named one of the Top 50 Entrepreneurship Scholars in the world and was the recipient of the Riata Distinguished Entrepreneurship Scholar Award. In 2011 he was the inaugural recipient of the Karl Vesper Entrepreneurship Pioneer Award for his career dedication to developing the field of entrepreneurship. The National Academy of Management honored Professor Kuratko with the Entrepreneurship Advocate Award and the Entrepreneurship Mentor Award for his contributions to the development and advancement of the discipline of entrepreneurship. In addition, he was named the National Outstanding Entrepreneurship Educator by the U.S. Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship as well as being honored with the John E. Hughes Entrepreneurial Advocacy Award for his career advocacy in entrepreneurship. Butler Venture Accelerator Babson College, Babson Park, MA Andrew Corbett is a Professor of Entrepreneurship and serves as Chair of the Entrepreneurship Division at Babson College. He is a Babson Research Scholar and Faculty Director for the John E. & Alice L. Butler Venture Accelerator at Babson College. As an educator Professor Corbett focuses primarily on graduate courses but he teaches across all degree programs. In addition to teaching feasibility, new venture creation, and marketing for entrepreneurs, his extensive, practical experience finds him consulting and teaching to corporate clients, entrepreneurs, and other educators across the globe. He is one of the lead instructors for the world renowned Price-Babson Symposium for Entrepreneurship Educators (SEE) program. Professor Corbett has been named a Master Teacher for his work as part of the Experiential Classroom at Oklahoma State University and is honored to be an instructor in the Entrepreneurship Boot camp for Veterans with Disabilities at Syracuse University since its inception in 2007. He has been recognized for his excellence in teaching on both the undergraduate and graduate level on numerous occasions. Most recently, he was awarded the Dean s Award for Teaching Excellence in Executive Education at Babson. Nationally, he has also been awarded the McGraw-Hill Innovation in Entrepreneurship Pedagogy Award by the Academy of Management. Professor Corbett s research examines behavioral aspects of the entrepreneurial process and the role of individuals within strategic renewal and innovations efforts within organizations. His research has appeared in scholarly outlets including Harvard Business Review; the Journal of Management Studies, the Journal of Business Venturing; Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal; Entrepreneurship: Theory & Practice; and many others. He is the editor of numerous books including, Entrepreneurial Action and Academic Entrepreneurship: Creating an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem. He is currently co-authoring two books including Beyond the Champion (Stanford University Press, 2017) which examines the roles of entrepreneurial individuals within organizations and argues for the need to institutionalize innovation and entrepreneurship in established firms. Professor Corbett is also a consulting editor for the Journal of Management Studies, and a field editor for the Journal of Business Venturing. In 2015 he was named a Trustee of the Society for the Advancement of Management Studies, a UK-based organization established in 1963 to advance education in the field of management studies across the globe. Professor Corbett serves the Babson community in numerous ways but most notably in the Butler Venture Accelerator where he assists with strategic direction and the mentoring of young entrepreneurs. He has led or been a member of over a dozen committees or task forces for the Entrepreneurship Division of the Academy of Management where he most recently co-chaired the Doctoral Consortium. Prior to Babson, Professor Corbett was MBA Director, Associate Professor, and Faculty Director of the Severino Center for Technological Entrepreneurship at the Lally School of Management & Technology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has also taught at the University of Colorado and Bentley University. Before his work in academia he spent over a decade in marketing and strategic management positions within the media and publishing industries.
Dr. Johan Wiklund Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University, USA Lund University, Sweden, and Norland University, Norway Whitman School of Management Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY Johan Wiklund is Professor of Entrepreneurship at Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University, USA Lund University, Sweden, and Nordland University, Norway. His research interests include entrepreneurship and mental health as well as the performance, exit, and failure of entrepreneurial firms. He is considered a leading authority in entrepreneurship research with over 50 articles appearing in leading entrepreneurship and management journals. He is editor for Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, and previously editor for Journal of Business Venturing and Small Business Economics. Wiklund has conducted research for European governments and the OECD and was a board member of the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth. A prolific advisor of Ph.D. students, he received the Academy of Management Entrepreneurship Division Mentor Award in 2011.
