High Power Strobe LED Light Units/Control Unit Series Extreme Power Strobe Lights only made possible by mastering LEDs. Peak illuminance: 7 million lx Measured using LDL-PF-5X3SW (LWD=3 mm) Results for individual products may vary. : to μs 99 levels (. μs increments) High Power Strobe Light enables further acceleration of fast moving production lines. Dim : 56 μs Line speed: x Bright Line speed: 4 x : 4 μs Comparison between the LDR-PF-36SW and LDR-3SW, a conventional product. Improving productivity through increased inspection speed. Brightness x Brightness Approx. 7 x At least times the strobe time is required to obtain the same amount of light with a conventional product. Comparison between the LDL-PF-5X3SW and LDL-74X3SW, a conventional product. (LWD= mm) 5 μs 5 μs Results for individual products may vary.

Brightness comparable to xenon flash lamps Inspection of chip component 5 W xenon flash lamp :.75 μs (measured value) High Power Strobe Light Unit : 5 μs Achieved the same inspection speed made possible by xenon lamps. Common problems with xenon lamps Solution with LEDs Brightness Fluctuant Stable Inspection accuracy is affected. Flashing sometimes fails. Inspection accuracy is not affected. Flashing does not fail. Available light control features Scarce Light intensity control is available, but with a fixed strobe time. Abundant Light intensity, strobe time, and lighting delay can be set through various external control methods. Ethernet enabled Light intensity 5 levels Lighting delay time 99, levels levels Operational lifetime Short Long Extended lifetime Design variations General xenon lamp: 3, hours Few Long lifetime of 5, hours* * Expected lifetime for % light intensity, 5 us strobe time, and 5 ms strobe interval (% duty ratio). Actual lifetimes may vary. Many Hours 5, Only white light sources are available. Filters must be used to change the color. The product lineup includes white and red. We accept custom orders for other colors. Environmental impact Large Small Xenon lamps use mercury. Special care is required to dispose of used xenon lamps. Good for CO reduction and energy conservation. eco Operating noise Abrasive Quiet A distinctive noise is made upon flashing. No noise is made. Number of channels One Additional fiber cables and light sources are required to conduct multiple inspections at the same time. Two Two channels are provided. Multiple Light Units can be controlled with just one Control Unit.

High Power Strobe LED Light Units/Control Unit Innovative Applications Using the flash as a camera shutter Example Camera exposure period LDR-3SW + PTU LDR-PF-36SW + PF-A448-56 μs 4 μs Long strobe time due to lack of brightness leads to image blurring. High power emission enables instantaneous imaging. Eliminating image blur Horizontal blur Long exposure period and insufficient brightness result in image blur. The shortened exposure time reduces blur. Dim Bright When used for a fast moving production line, image blurring results. Applicable for fast moving production lines. Vertical blur Adjusting aperture to compensate for dim lighting reduces depth of field. High brightness allows for smaller aperture and increased depth of field. Dim Depth of field Shallow Bright Depth of field Deep Vertical vibration Vertical vibration 3 Vibration causes image blur. Image unaffected by vibration.

Other Features Wide variety of available Light Units Choose the appropriate Light Unit according to the type of workpiece and inspection. The product lineup includes a total of models. Ring Lights Outer diameter Ø36, Ø54, Ø75 Two colors of LEDs available: white and red. Bar Lights Coaxial Lights Emitting surface size 5x8, x8, 5x8, 5x3, x3, 5x3 Emitting 34x38, 5x5 surface size Freely adjustable flash timing You can use the lighting delay time setting of the Control Unit to adjust the timing of the flash to be within the exposure period of the camera. Exposure period of camera Insufficient amount of light Lighting delay time Strobing before the exposure period of the camera leads to an insufficient amount of light. Delaying the timing of the flash enables strobing within the exposure period of the camera. Dedicated Control Unit PF-A448- Light intensity: 5 levels Duty ratio: % max. : to μs Adjustable within 99 levels (. μs increments) Lighting delay time: to μs Adjustable within levels (. μs increments) 4
