Our Cabinets East Front cabinets are built from solid maple and birch plywood. These two species have inherent characteristics such as varying grain pattern, small mineral streaks, knots, and slight color variations. Because of this, our quality standards establish tolerance ranges for matching the wood. Features Of Solid Wood Maple is a hard and dense wood with a closed grain. The grain pattern is usually straight, but may include some waves and deviation. With a fairly static color spectrum, maple seldom steps outside the range of white, yellow, and brown. East Front s quality control team is very particular, and only hand selects wood that is within the tolerances of said spectrum. Naturally, there are fine golden-colored mineral and sugar striping that can be detected from time to time. Wood will react to both natural and artificial light sources, taking on a slightly subdued patina. When a light source is applied, these variations are visible and should not be considered flaws. These variations are what create the unique natural beauty of each piece. Additionally, exposure to light, smoke, and other chemical agents can cause wood colors to change over time. You are urged to make final selection of species and finish from a full size door sample. Features Of Stain Please keep in mind that no two pieces of wood are exactly the same. Stains can, and are likely to exaggerate the difference between open and closed grains and other markings in wood. It is expected to see grain variation and color change in stained wood. As maple and birch age, they will darken when exposed to different types of light. Differences in color or changes in wood can also be produced by exposure to harsh chemicals, extreme heat or moisture. These markings make the wood unique and contribute to its enduring magnificence. Features Of Glazing/Paint Glazed and Painted Maple & Birch wood differs from standard stains. Wood products naturally expand and shrink due to changes in temperature. Some of the tolerances that are common and acceptable traits of painted maple and birch include finish breaks, slight recesses, and seam lines at stile, rail, and panel joints. Joint separation may be more apparent on mitered doors; thus, certain finishes are not recommended for use in environments of high humidity. Keep in mind that open seams are more susceptible to moisture; therefore, it is advised to wipe away any moisture noted as soon as possible so as to prevent damages. Since seam lines and variations are normal characteristics of opaque finishes, they will not be considered reason for product replacement. Joint lines also may occur due to the continual impacts from normal everyday use. An open joint line is not considered a defect and it is widely accepted in the kitchen cabinetry industry. East Front Cabinet Manufacturer warranty is only applicable to products used in residential applications within the United States and is not transferable to subsequent owners. Said term to commence upon the date of purchase from East Front Should defects in material or workmanship exist during the applicable warranty period in any East Front Cabinet Manufacturer product, East Front Cabinet Manufacturer will elect at its discretion to either repair or replace the defective material or component, free of charge. This warranty covers only parts and materials of the products supplied by East Front Cabinet Manufacturer. Not covered under this warranty are counter tops, appliances, plumbing fixtures, etc. or the costs, including labor, to remove and reinstall materials and related components such as fittings, appliances, etc. This warranty shall become void if the cabinets are in any way modified, improperly installed or damaged prior to or during the installation. Additionally, this warranty will not apply to cabinets damaged by misuse, neglect, abuse, acts of God, exposure to moisture, exposure to extreme temperatures or the effects of normal wear and tear. Natural woods may vary in color, characteristics and exhibit subtle changes as they age. For example, painted face frames may eventually have visible cracking around the joint area and cabinet colors may darken or lighten over time. Sunlight, smoke, household cleaners and other environmental conditions may also affect the color match over time. These variations are considered to be the nature of the material in relation to their environmental exposure and are not covered under this warranty. East Front Cabinet Manufacturer reserves the right to alter design, specifications and material without obligation to make similar changes to products previously manufactured. The repair(s) or replacements(s) are contingent upon the current product offerings of styles and construction options within the East Front Cabinet Manufacturer products at the time of the warranty claim. If a warranty claim is filed after a East Front Cabinet Manufacturer product becomes obsolete; East Front Cabinet Manufacturer reserves the right to honor the warranty in one of the following fashions: To replace the affected component with a new component of the same style. To replace the affected component and any other component(s) in the residential application to achieve a uniform appearance with a similar and comparable product style of the originally purchased style. If components are replaced, East Front Cabinet Manufacturer cannot guarantee that the finish of these replacements will exactly match the finish and appearance of the components in the residential application. This is due to the changes that occur during the woods natural aging process, affecting its color and grain. THIS WARRANTY IS THE EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY OF EAST FRONT CABINET MANUFACTURER AND IS IN LIEU OF AND EAST FRONT CABINET MANUFACTURER DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights, which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. To obtain replacement(s) under this limited warranty, first contact your authorized East Front Cabinet Manufacturer dealer or distributor, who will arrange for inspection of the cabinet.
