FORTNITE -TERMS & CONDITIONS- * Global Rules The Gamers Hub Middle East (GHME) administration has the right to decide outside or even against the rulebook in special cases to guarantee fair play. All rights reserved by Gamers Hub Middle East (GHME). All decisions rest with Gamers Hub Middle East (GHME) and will be treated as final. 1.0 Game Rules 1.1 Win Condition: The winning team will be determined by the team with the largest number of total kills. If there is a tie, the tiebreaker will be determined by the team that had a player survive the longest. 1.2 Code of Conduct: Every participant has to behave with respect towards the representatives of GHME, press, viewers, partners and other players. The participants are requested to represent esports, GHME, and their Sponsors honourably. This applies to behaviour in-game and also in chats, messengers, comments and other media. We expect players to conduct themselves according to the following values: Compassion: treat others as you would be treated. Integrity: be honest, be committed, play fair. Respect: show respect all other humans, including teammates, competitors, and event staff. Courage: be courageous in competition and in standing up for what is right. Participants must not engage in harassment or hate speech in any form. This includes, but is not limited to: Hate speech, offensive behaviour, or verbal abuse related to sex, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disability, physical appearance, body size, age, or religion. Stalking or intimidation. Spamming, raiding, hijacking, or inciting disruption of streams or social media.!1
Posting or threatening to post other people s personally identifying information ( doxing ). Unwelcome sexual attention. This includes, unwelcome sexualised comments, jokes, and sexual advances. Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behaviour. Violation of this Code of Conduct will result in disqualification or banning from future GHME events. 2.0 All Matches 2.1 Warm-up: No warm-up or practice games are permitted once the match s first game has begun. If a match is played before the scheduled time, it will not be considered a warm-up and will count as the official results. 2.2 Delays: Teams may not delay the start of a match beyond its scheduled start time, without the approval of a tournament official. Teams may delay a match between games for up to five minutes. Teams can request that a tournament official enforce this five minute time limit. After five minutes of a tournament official enforced delay, if the delaying team does not have the minimum required players, they will forfeit the match. 2.3 Lag: As the game is hosted on dedicated servers, replays will not be issued for lag. 3.0 Reporting 3.1 No Shows: All no shows must be verified by a tournament official. 3.2 Time Limit: Both teams must report the match results within 10 minutes of its completion. Failure to report the match results on time or respond to any messages that you receive from a tournament official may result in your team receiving the loss. 3.3 Cheating: Breaking any rule and any form of cheating, glitching, abusing in-game mechanics, or unsportsmanlike behaviour may result in a forfeit of a game, match, or ban from Gamers Hub Middle East (GHME). Cheating, glitching, and abusing in-game mechanics accusations must be verified by a tournament official. 3.4 Proof: We highly recommend that proof is taken with the console's built in recording system to gather proof. At least one member of each team should take a video or screenshot(s) of each game s results in case proof is needed for a dispute. All proof should be clearly visible and contain the players names', if they are dead, and their number of kills. 3.5 Disputes: In order to dispute game results, players/teams must notify a tournament official.!2
4.0 Support 4.1 Listen for Instructions: If a tournament official is called into a custom game, players must keep the tournament official un-muted at all times. 4.2 Abuse: Verbal and/or written abuse of a tournament official will not be tolerated through any medium. This includes, but is not limited to, voice communications in game, voice messages, live support chats, written messages on Gamers Hub Middle East (GHME), Twitter, Facebook, etc. Violators of this rule may be disqualified from the Tournament. 4.3 Decisions Are Final: Tournament staff have the final decision in all matters related to this competition. 4.4 Language: The official language of this national section is Arabic/English. All players should be able to communicate in Arabic/English and to do so. 5.0 Penalties 5.1 Account Recovering; Epic Games or PSN Accounts: Tournament participants are forbidden to allow others to play in this competition in place of them by sharing Epic Games or PSN accounts. The offending the team forfeit the entire match. The offending players will be suspended from the site for up to thirty (30) days. 5.2 Modified Console/Hacks/Mods: Use of a modified/jail broken console, in game hacks, and/or mods will result in the immediate disqualification of that team. The player(s) using the modified console, hacks, and/or mods will be suspended from Gamers Hub Middle East (GHME) for up to seven hundred and thirty (730) days. The rest of the team will be suspended for up to ninety (90) days. 5.3 Evading a Ban: If a player is found evading a ban the team will be disqualified from this competition. The offending player(s) will be suspended from Gamers Hub Middle East (GHME) for up to ninety (90) days. 5.4 Lack of Cooperation: Failing to comply with Support Staff's directions and/or requests may result in the forfeit of round(s), a map, or the entire match. Verbal or written abuse of a staff member will result in a suspension from Gamers Hub Middle East (GHME) for up to twenty (20) days. 5.5 Warnings: Tournament Officials may issue a Warning for infractions including, but not limited to, the use of profane words or phrases, discussion of controversial religious topics, threats/implied violence, lack of punctuality, and failure to follow tournament staff instructions. All warnings and penalties are given to the team, not the individual player. Teams may also be warned or incur a penalty for repeated warnings in regards to the same rule. Depending on the severity of the action or conduct by a player, multiple warnings may be handed out for a single infraction, up to and including bypassing warnings and resulting in an immediate penalty.!3
5.6 Penalties: After a maximum of three (3) warnings, post-warning penalties, including but not limited to the following, may be enforced: A Game Forfeit, a Match Forfeit, and a Gamers Hub Middle East (GHME) Site Ban for a specified duration. Penalties may also be combined with other penalties. 5.7 Disqualification: Some infractions may result in warnings and penalties being bypassed with immediate disqualification from the remainder of the Tournament being enforced. Examples of behaviour or actions that could result in this are physical acts violence, cheating, collusion/manipulating the bracket, drug/substance abuse on-site, any illegal activities, betting or gambling on a tournament or match results, hate speech, and harassment. 5.8 Invalid Entries: Any entry made or attempted to be made to the competition in a manner which in our reasonable opinion is contrary to these terms and conditions or by its nature unfair to other participants will be invalid and may result in your disqualification from the competition. Examples of entries or behaviour which are not allowed include fraudulent entries, bulk entries, automated entries, entries made on behalf of another person, cheating (including a person participating in the competition on your behalf), hacking, deception (including tampering with the challenge settings which will result in immediate disqualification from the entire competition), use of robots or other automated programmes. We will not accept illegible or incomplete entries. 6.0 Reporting 6.1 Rules: The rules may be updated and modified at any time, for any reason. Rulings may be made outside the scope of these Rules in order to preserve fair play and tournament integrity. Participation in this Tournament constitutes entrant s full and unconditional agreement to these Rules, the Official Rules on the Prize tab, and Tournament Official decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to this tournament. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. 6.2 Eligibility: Residents of the United Arab Emirates only. Employees of Gamers Hub Middle East (GHME), the Tournament's participating sponsors and their advertising agencies, and members of the immediate family of any such persons, are not eligible to participate and win. Any team found using a restricted player may be disqualified from the tournament. 6.3 Privacy & Impersonation: Individuals are prohibited from sharing account information stored on Gamers Hub Middle East (GHME) with another person for any reason. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: usernames, passwords, gamertags, email accounts, etc. Individuals may not use another Player s PSN Account in a Game. Individuals may not allow another Player to use their PSN Account in a Game. Players who break this rule may be disqualified from the tournament. In game IP checks will be administered at the discretion of the tournament Staff. This will ensure no one is account recovering and attempting to play on another person's account. However, IP checks will not be be given after the match has been completed.!4
6.4 Third Party Communication: Third party communication is not allowed for this tournament. (i.e. skype, TeamSpeak, Party Chat, etc.). 6.5 Prizing and Bracket Size: Tournament bracket size and prize are subject to change based on the total number of eligible teams at the end of registration. 7.0 Conditions 7.1 Contest is subject to these Rules: By participating, Contestants agree: (i) to be bound by these complete Rules and the decisions of Gamers Hub Middle East (GHME) which shall be final and binding; and (ii) to waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Contest or these Rules, except where prohibited by law. By accepting a prize, selected Contestant agrees to release Gamers Hub Middle East (GHME) from any and all liability, loss or damage arising from or in connection with awarding, receipt and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any prize-related activities. Gamers Hub Middle East (GHME) shall not be liable for: (i) telephone system, telephone, or computer hardware, software, or other technical or computer malfunctions, lost connections, disconnections, delays or transmission errors; (ii) data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorised access to or alteration of entry or other materials; (iii) any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including death caused by the prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of a prize, or from participation in the Contest; or (iv) any printing, typographical, administrative, or technological errors in any materials associated with the Contest. Gamers Hub Middle East (GHME) reserves the right to cancel or suspend the Contest in its sole discretion or due to circumstances beyond its control, including natural disasters. Gamers Hub Middle East (GHME) may disqualify any Contestant from participating in the Contest or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines such Entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, hacking, deception, or any other unfair playing practices intending to annoy, abuse, threaten, undermine, or harass any other players or Gamers Hub Middle East s (GHME s) representatives. The internal laws of the United Arab Emirates will govern disputes regarding these Rules and/or this Contest. Gamers Hub Middle East (GHME) reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest should a virus, bug, computer problem, unauthorised intervention, or other causes beyond Gamers Hub Middle East s (GHME s) control, corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be in violation of criminal and civil laws and will result in disqualification from participation in the Contest. Should such an attempt be made, Gamers Hub Middle East (GHME) reserves the right to seek remedies and damages (including attorneys fees) to the fullest extent of the law, including criminal prosecution. Gamers Hub Middle East (GHME) reserves the right to disqualify any Contestant it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or violating these Rules. Gamers Hub Middle East (GHME) is not responsible for any problems, bugs, or malfunctions Contestants may encounter. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws. 7.2 Publicity: Gamers Hub Middle East (GHME) reserves the right to use the name, likeness, and/or Epic account ID of any Contestant, for publicity purposes prior to,!5
during, or after the Contest end date, in any media, throughout the world, in perpetuity, but only in connection with publicising the Contest, without any compensation or prior review unless specifically prohibited by law. At any time before, during or after the Contest Period, Gamers Hub Middle East (GHME) may, in its discretion, choose to post Contestants name and profile information online (including Facebook pages, Twitter feeds, YouTube channels, and third-party websites) for promotional and entertainment purposes only. Posting of this content will not mean that said Contestants are eligible to win or have been selected as winners. Contestants understand that users of these sites may share, comment on (including negatively), and re-post such content. Any requests by Contestants to be removed from consideration will be accommodated to the extent practically possible. 7.3 Waiver of jury trial: Except as prohibited by applicable law and as a condition of participating in this Contest, each Contestant hereby irrevocably and perpetually waives any right s/he may have to a trial by jury in respect of any litigation directly or indirectly arising out of, under or in connection with this Contest, any document or agreement entered into in connection herewith, any prize available in connection herewith, and any of the transactions contemplated hereby or thereby. 7.4 Privacy: All collected information from Gamers Hub Middle East (GHME) & other 3rd party involved companies will be shared for promotional and social media purposes only. GHME reserves exclusive right to the coverage of GHME matches. This includes all forms of transmission. GHME can assign the coverage rights of a match or of several matches to a third party or to the actual players themselves. In this case, terms and conditions would have to be arranged with the GHME management before the match. Should the game take place on a server that GHME administrators have no direct access to, it must be made sure that enough slots are available for the according clients. We may require the winners to participate in publicity or advertising. By entering this competition, you agree that we may use your name and/or image for these purposes and that you will not be paid.!6
All rights to photos and videos taken of the tournament rests with Gamers Hub Middle East. Permission to posts and distribute these photos/videos lie solely with Gamers Hub Middle East. This material will be used by GHME and it's partners for promotions and such. By agreeing to this, you waive all rights and accept the use of your photos/videos as GHME sees fit. No food or drink is allowed near the machines. Should you cause any damage to any machine or its peripherals, you will be liable to pay the cost of the same at no more than the retail selling price of damaged product. You agree to subscribe to GHME & 3rd party companies newsletters and promotional emails. You can unsubscribe from the same by clicking on the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the emails. Timings are to be strictly followed by the teams/players. Teams/Players are given a 10 minutes grace period to show up or else the team would be declared as a no show and disqualified (DQ'd) from the tournament. If a player lags out in between a round, then the current round will be played, and the game will be ended before the start of the next round. The game shall be resumed once all players are ready and the players are supposed to have the same amount of money and sides as intended.
