a thousand words MacroPATH lean 3 1 4 6 7 5 2 An ideal solution for laboratories requiring a lean macro imaging system in multiple workstations. A small form factor, fixed objective lens and digital zoom all contribute to ease of installation and use in the most space constrained environments. Quick image capture and minimization of operator interaction both contribute to efficient processing of patient cases. Robust image annotation features provide pathologists the ability to build the full context of the patient case, thereby enhancing their diagnostic report. The MacroPATH lean camera offers several installation options. Grossing stations, current photographic stands or stand- alone systems can be easily configured for use. Technical specifications 1 - MacroPATH lean Camera Camera with adjustable focus and iris Resolution: up to 10 Mpixels, 15 fps, CMOS sensor Digital zoom Focal length: 12mm Iris range: 1.4 - closed 2 - Foot Pedal Control Medical grade foot pedal controls zoom and save functions 3 - Point-of-care (POC) Control Terminal* 17 TFT 1280X1024 Touch Screen Control terminal Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7400 2.0 GHZ 4 GB DDR2 RAM - 500 GB Hard Disk 5000 RPM 24X7 Spill and dust resistant front panel IP 65 - NEMA 4 complaint 4 - High-impact polymer camera stand 5 - Waterproof IP-68 Keyboard* 6 - Wired microphone 7- Bar code reader* * Options, CPU specifications are subject to change without notice
MacroPATH is simplicity Enter specimen/patient data by keyboard or scan bar code. Program automatically opens. 1D 2D 1 - Start A CASE Capture real size, close up images of excised specimens in rapid sequence. Saved images appear as thumbnails on the right side of the screen. 2 - SAVING IMAGES 6 - REPORTING The ability for MacroPATH to easily capture, annotate, and store high quality images enables the building of enhanced patient reports with additional context for the clinician, surgeon and oncologist. 5 - DOCUMENTING Eliminates potential mismatching of cassettes labeled/number of blocks, sampled tissues. Valuable documentation in educational/training environment.
NEW FEATURES Image/Case database Easily search and access patient cases by standard and/or custom tag identifiers Select desired image. Choose appropriate Sizing tool (linear, area, perimeter) and select area of interest. The tool will automatically calculate the length or area of your annotation. 3 - MEASURING Prostate dissection Quickly annotate prostate cross sections saving valuable time 4 - SECTIONING Pick the image of interest. Select Sections icon. Draw on specimen to indicate sampled areas. The tool will label sequentially. Preset text Quickly access routinely used terms through pre-built menus Video and audio Complement your case with video and mp3 audio
MacroPATH is flexibility MacroPATH pro and MacroPATH lean offer unique solutions to ensure comfort for all users in every working condition. The system can be configured to operate as stand-alone, on photographic stand or fully integrated in grossing station. Stand-alone operation Grossing station Photographic stand Accessories USB barcode reader Floor type terminal holder Wet area cutting board for a high contrast background Waterproof keyboard with IP-68 dust/water protection PTFE washable touch pen
Stand-alone system MacroPATH is integration In addition to stand-alone operations, MacroPATH can interface with a PACS or LIS through dedicated or TWAIN protocols. Saved locally Saved in a network location Interfacing with LIS (Laboratory Information System) or PACS Use as TWAIN device 4 1 3 2 MacroPATH acts as a secondary application to the LIS. Patient case identifier is held by LIS. 1 LIS launches MacroPATH. 2 User completes image acquisition and annotation. 3 Assets are transferred to the LIS. 4 Additional operations by the user (image manipulation, selection of images for inclusion into patient reports, etc). MacroPATH acts as a secondary application launched via TWAIN protocol. Multiple images are taken and manipulated and then transferred to the primary application (LIS or other program with TWAIN import capability). MileVIEWER: the state-of-the-art digital system for telepathology MileVIEWER MacroPATH can be connected via internet to share all relevant information of the grossing procedures with remotely located pathologists through the new MileVIEWER software package. Mobile device Highest security standard MacroPATH INTERNET Desktop The MacroPATH remote connection features completely secure data channels with key exchange and AES (256 Bit) session encoding, the same security standard used by https/ssl.
