TXM SERIES DESCRIPTION The FM Transmitters of the TXM series are modular equipment built with single Tessera Tech 1 or 2kW Amplifier Modules. The availabale output powers are from 2,5kW up to 40kW thus creating broadcast systems made of single highly optimized plug-in modules realizing the concept of extreme modularity BY developing the TXM Series, the main target was: top reliability, less than 7kg weight for single module, easy maintenance, low consumption. The only way to reach these goals was by designing a modular structure where each block of the system has been obsessively optimized for best results. TXM Series OVERALL CHARACTERISTICS The Modular Concept allows relevant advantages: The Tessera Tech single modules include it s own power supply ventilation, control logic and output filter grants easy maintenance and test: no need of special tools, each module can be connected and installed or tested as a single amplifier. Developing the Tessera Tech our engineers were focused on: minimizing weight, cost, power consumption and heat. Maximizing: efficiency, reliability, performances, simple connectivity and easy maintenance. During installation and maintenance, light single packs prevent accidents and heavy duty to operators. The Ultra Modular Concept is based on a very compact aluminum extruded Amplifier and its combinations. Thanks to a careful choice of size 130mm and 3HE, power levels of the building blocks 2kW FM, the TXM Series can be taken as the latest reference for plug-in FM transmitters. The modularity is completed by special combiners and control logic units. FM exciter can be both Analogue or DDS, with integrated AES/EBU interface. All transmitter and amplifier parameters required for diagnostics can be retrieved locally or remotely via standard (IP) protocol and SW (web browser, SNMP). High Definition, high contrast Color led display. Quick set of thresholds for protection levels, based on assignment of three flavors or PERSONALITIES: Conservative (primary target = protect itself), Standard (balanced), Aggressive (primary target = transmission without interruptions). N+1 and Backups systems Conventional standby systems such as: exciter standby, (n+1) Transmitter standby, passive standby and active output stage standby can be implemented. No additional control units are needed for the exciter standby and the active amplifier standby. Operator Interface Each module is equipped with a logic controller that allows full control by a local operator.
