INSTALLATION 1) Remove the (2) rear knobs from the CPU Holder Assembly and disassemble the Top Support as shown. (FIGURE A) (FIGURE A) 2) Remove the bottom knob from the Bottom Support on the CPU Holder Assembly and adjust bottom support length to suit CPU width. Select the appropriate mounting hole and tighten the knob. (FIGURE B) (FIGURE B) Page 3
2) Using the provided Security Wrench, remove Security Nut, Spacer and bolt from Security Brackets. (FIGURE B) 3) Insert bolt through top of Security Bracket Assembly and position the Security Brackets as shown below. (FIGURE C) (FIGURE C) Page 4
5) Place the Security Bracket Assembly on top of the Bottom Support on the CPU Holder Assembly. Insert Spacer between Security Brackets and Bottom Support. Select appropriate hole to accomodate the CPU width. For example, for CPU s between 5-7 wide, use the center hole position. (FIGURE E) NOTE: When installing the CPU Holder with the Security Bracket Assembly, CPU cannot exceed 18 length. When the Security Brackets are extended to 18 max, the width of CPU cannot exceed 8 wide. (FIGURE E) 6) Once the Security Brackets are properly installed, fasten a Security Nut underneath the Bottom Support to hold the bracket assembly in place. Use two 3/4 screws (or Security Arm Carriage Bolts) and two Security Nuts to attach the Security Brackets to Bottom Support slots. Do not fully tighten. (FIGURE F) (FIGURE F) Page 5 3/4 Screw (or Security Arm Carriage Bolt) with Security Nut Underneath (Press screws through foam padding)
7) Install CPU into place on the Bottom Support. Secure the Brackets tightly against the CPU. (FIGURE G) NOTE: Larger CPUs may require the Security Brackets to switch orientation from the smaller settings so that the CPU corners are securely enclosed. (FIGURE G) (FIGURE G) 8) After installing the CPU, tighten all Security Nuts underneath the Bottom Support as shown. Replace the bottom knob with a Security Nut. (FIGURE H) (FIGURE H) Page 6
9) Loosen the knobs at the top of the Top Support on the CPU Holder Assembly and fully extend the bracket. (FIGURE J) Plastic Glides (FIGURE J) 10) Place the Top Support over CPU as shown and secure to the Bottom Support. (FIGURE K) NOTE: To accomodate slimmer CPU s, refer to page 10 for extension bracket installation. (Installation over CPU) (Installation to Bottom Support) (FIGURE K) Page 7
11) Adjust the Top Support so that the CPU is securely bound within the Top and Bottom Supports. Replace all knobs with security nuts and tighten. (FIGURE L) (FIGURE L) 12) Remove the Mounting Tape from the Mounting Track and affix Mounting Track to underside of desk. NOTE: Mounting Track must be located at least 4 away from any obstructions to prevent interference. A 1 backset from the front edge of the work surface is also recommended. See (FIGURE N) on following page. 13) Drill 1/8 pilot holes in desk (1/2 deep maximum) and attach Mounting Track and Rear Track Bumper using wood screws (provided). (FIGURE M) (FIGURE M) Page 8
14) Align plastic guides on top of CPU holder with mounting track and slide assembled unit into place. (FIGURE N) MIN 4 (FIGURE N) 15) Position Front Track Bumper against Mounting Track and secure to underside of desk using wood screws (provided). (FIGURE P) Page 9
EXTENSION BRACKET INSTALLATION (FOR SLIMMER CPUs) 1) Remove the large theaded bumpers from the Top Support Bracket on the CPU Holder.
