WAKE UP THE LEADER WITHIN YOU Leadership Checklist Take the quiz to find out which of the 6 Leadership traits you need to develop to become a Leader in Heels. The 6 Leadership traits are based on the Leaders in Heels Manifesto. By Kasia Gospos

LEADERSHIP QUIZ Answer each question with Yes or No response. After each section add up your Yes responses. Calculate your percentage result for the trait section by dividing the number of Yes es by 15 (the total number of questions). The higher your percentage, the higher you rank in that trait. See which traits are your strongest, and which you need to develop. Have fun! Kasia Gospos Founder and Publisher, Leaders in Heels www.leadersinheels.com LEADERS IN HEELS creating female leaders

PASSION You understand what you are passionate about. You know your core values. You know how you want to be remembered and what your legacy will be. You are in business or have a career that you actively pursued based on your interests and dreams. Your definition of success is not solely dependent on how well your career or business does. Your passion and career or business overlap. You do what you love. You take calculated risks to achieve your dreams. You can easily name your 3 key strengths. You have clear goals. Your goals are S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time-specific). You review your goals regularly. You share your goals with people who make you accountable. You actively surround yourself with people who encourage you. You plan your day. Total count of Yes es: / 15 = %

CREATIVITY You are never satisfied with the answer Just because. You usually ask a lot of questions. You often step out of your comfort zone to learn new things. You try new things regularly (for example, different sports, unknown restaurants, strange food). You regularly rearrange your home or office. You make an effort to engage with people who are different from you. You travel frequently. You enjoy learning. You prefer to travel to new places for holidays. You read a lot. You brainstorm alternatives before making a decision. You are known for thinking outside the box. You willingly take on new assignments to expand your knowledge and skills. You like crafting and creating or building new things. You are not afraid of making mistakes.

INNOVATION You manage your time well and feel in control of your schedule. In business you continuously look for new better ways of doing things. You keep your knowledge up-to-date. You're currently learning something new (through your business, via external education etc.). Your devices are all synchronised. You regularly review your bottlenecks and take actions to eliminate them. You automate things that can/should be automated. You are productive, not just busy. You play on your strengths and delegate the rest or seek support. You actively choose to spend time with people who challenge you. You measure and track your progress. You use software and apps to make your work and life more efficient. You constantly strive to simplify the complex things in your life. You spend the majority of your time on the most important goals. You focus on making small continuous improvements.

CONFIDENCE You can easily say what your top three achievements are. You're comfortable talking about yourself. You don t spend much time on analysing what other people think of you. You don't try to be perfect. You are not afraid of stepping outside your comfort zone. You rarely compare yourself to others (including in your mind). You hang out with people who encourage you and lift you up. You never worry alone but turn to trusted friends and family for help. You know the leadership style you're comfortable with and you're consistent in using it. You know your elevator pitch well. You maintain work-life balance. You don t mind public speaking. You sleep well. You have a hobby that helps you relax. You don t take other people s problems and opinions personally.

DETERMINATION You are not afraid of rejection. You take negative feedback as an opportunity to grow. You network widely. You have a mentor. You share your aspirations with people around you. Last year you achieved over 70% of your annual goals. You have a routine of activities that help you feel better on those difficult days e.g. listening to a particular song, going for a walk. You don t take rejection personally and instead look for the next opportunity. You bounce back fairly quickly. You have people around you who keep you accountable. You hustle to get things done. You know who to turn to for career/business advice. You make informed decisions and take immediate actions. You exercise. You have a good, nutritious diet.

KINDNESS You are able to forgive past hurts. You are a good listener. You include others in decisions. You care about the people you work with, including clients, customers and colleagues. You have a talent for identifying other people s strengths. You openly praise people for their strengths. You are curious when you meet new people and you're genuinely interested them. You are unlikely to criticize or say negative things about others when they are not around. You pay attention and are present as you interact with people. You are patient with others shortcomings. Before you judge you make an attempt to understand people who are of different ethnicity, origin or who made different choices to us on how they live or who they are. You endeavour to help everyone regardless of whether they can help you. You encourage others to step up and help them grow. You volunteer or offer your time to help others. You donate regularly to causes you believe in.
