Abundant - Easily observed in proper habitat. Common - Usually observed in proper habitat. Uncommon - Infrequently seen in proper habitat. Rare - Not present every year. Accidental - Has been recorded only a few times. (continued)

Habitat categories. The first habitat shown will be the one where the species is most likely to be observed. Ri - RIPARIAN: Streams and their margins with big leaf maple, willows, alders and often a thick undergrowth. P - PONDS: There are several farm ponds along Pine Flat Road G - GRASSLAND: Open areas covered with plant growth including grassy areas in Oak Woodlands. C - CHAPARRAL: Plants include Chamise, Manzanita, Yerba Santa, Chaparral Pea, Monkey Flower, Coyote Bush and Ceanothus with a scattering of Gray Pine. O - OAK WOODLAND: A mixture of different species of oak interspersed with grasslands and with an occasional Gray Pine. California Laurel and Madrone may also be present. F - MIXED EVERGREEN FOREST: Douglas Fir, Knobcone, Ponderosa and Sugar Pine are found here mixed in with Madrone, California Laurel, Toyon and Tan Oak. Rr - ROCKY RIDGES: These rocky outcroppings, often serpentine, support little or no vegetation. Usually surrounded by Chaparral and/or Grassland. A - AERIAL: A number of strong flying birds will be primarily seen in this habitat. Breeding Status 1 - possible 2 - probable 3 - confirmed
