Otero Senior Registered Associate Peter joined Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in 1992. He is currently responsible for the group s overall investment strategy and plan implementation. He also focuses on the team s comprehensive financial planning. Peter is a graduate from the University of Washington. He is also is a member of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney s Masters Council, which recognizes the top performing Financial Advisors for excellence in client services at the firm. Peter grew up and resides in Gig Harbor, WA. He has played the drums and percussion since he was 11 years old and is still active with his music. He has performed for numerous local charitable events over the years. He also actively participates in many local charitable fundraising events. Peter enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family. Jim began his career with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in 1990. He is currently responsible for estate, retirement, and income planning within the team, as well as working on the overall investment strategy. He is a graduate of Brooks Institute with a BA & BFA. Jim is also a member of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney s Masters Council. Jim has previously served as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Harrison Medical Center, and currently is on the board of directors. He is also part of the non profit board of Northwest Foundation for Sight and Hearing. His passions include the restoration of classic cars. He has shown at the Pebble Beach Concours and is recognized as a national expert on Concours of Austin Healey s. Jim also collects antique billiard memorabilia, antique Lionel Trains and enjoys landscape design. Maira joined Smith Barney in 1994 and held the position of Branch Managers Assistant for 8 years before becoming a Registered Associate in 2004. She brings extensive knowledge of the full spectrum of client service from operational administration, technology, and day to day client support issues. Maira holds the Series 7 for NYSE/ NASD General Securities Representative and Series 63 Uniform State Exam designations as well. Maira and her family are longtime residents of Port Orchard, WA.
