There was a very friendly atmosphere despite the hustle and bustle. On the first day I was sent a where to get started email with links for my upcoming work, past projects and tutorials; as much information as possible to make the learning curve less steep. I immediately felt valued as part of the team. My manager was very helpful, and team members made me aware of work procedures and the culture of the department. Whenever I asked anyone about their role they explained in depth, careful to explain any jargon. SUMMER / INDUSTRIAL UNDERGRADUATE PLACEMENTS Our summer vacation placements are designed for penultimate year students and our industrial placement schemes are focused on sandwich year students. The summer placements offer work-based experience for up to 3 months, and our industrial scheme offers placements of up to 12 months. You ll be able to see how your studies relate to the world of software product development. You will receive a comprehensive induction programme and be assigned to a project team where you can experience day-to-day life in a global IT company. But it won t be just a one-way process. You ll have opportunities to contribute your own ideas and skills to the next generation of some of the world s most powerful software.
