Husband: Isaac Robbins In February 1788 a group of 10 men certified a house in Hartwell occupied by Mary Hinds as a place of worship for Protestant dissenters. This was evidently the beginning of the Methodist cause in Hartwell. Also in 1798 another house in Hartwell was certified by Elizabeth Travell (the occupier) and seven others, and in 1813 a dwelling house in the occupation of Isaac Robbins was certified. Wife: Mary Jeffery Abraham Robbins John Robbins 'John Robins in the Hartwell Poor Law record of 1826 accused of being the father of a child by Ann Laurence (not sure of spelling) of Ashton parish. Fined two pounds for labour etc, 4 shillings ongoing for maintenance, plus one pound 4 shillings for the cost of apprehending him.' Also possibly John R b.1801. 16/04/1838: John Robins was a bachelor and labourer and living in Hartwell at time of marriage. Witnesses at the marriage were a George Robins and Sarah Wheeler.
