Demo TurtleBot or movie CD as studying material Tool Set (hexagonal screwdriver, cross screwdriver) for Student Tool Set (hexagonal screwdriver, cross screwdriver long nose, magnetizer) for Teacher Few paper cups as fossils for moving fossil game Black tape to divide zones Introduction Check attendance Hand out Tool Set for Student Check Homework Disassemble Robot Study Process -1 [Work of the Day] [Teacher] Ask one student to read workbook page 147 out loud to explain work of the day [Student] Read out loud about SpaceBot. [Teacher] Explain function and specifics about today s robot through playing prepared demo SpaceBot or watching movie.. [Teacher] Explain meanings of words space and planet.
Study Process -2 [Robots in Life] [Teacher] Inform the purpose and necessity of Space Exploration. [Reference] Purpose of Space Exploration Reason why space exploration is needed for humans is firstly for innovation of technology and for the future. To explore outer space, we have to solve numerous problems and should develop new technologies. These processes are the technology development and the improvement. Also for future development, we should have better understanding for space and space exploration is needed to save humans from population problem and environmental problems that would come someday. Resources on earth have limitation so prepare for the situation when to get resources from the moon or Mars. Plus, we should do this for the peace and the development of Earth by exploring planet explosion or extraterrestrial. Study Process -3 [How to Assemble] [Teacher] Put indicated number of components in workbook on a desk to assemble robot normally then explain precautions. Draw star or circle on workbook for carefully assembled area. [Teacher] Instruct students about making BoxingBot from No.1 page 104 to no.18 of page 109 of workbook. [Teacher] Instruct to fix thin side of Motor Frame on H9, B9 of Main Frame when assembling no.1 page 150 of workbook. [Teacher] Warn direction of DC Motor axle and instruct that thin side of Motor Frame is fixed when assembling no.4 page 151 of workbook. [Teacher] Warn that High-speed DC Motor is assembled under Main Frame when assembling no.5 page 151 of workbook. [Teacher] Instruct to fix Small 8 Frame under L-type 2x6 Frame when assembling no.7 page 152 of workbook. [Teacher] Warn so that many Frames are overlapped and fixed when assembling no.9 page 152 of workbook. [Teacher] Warn to organize cables not to hang on Caterpillar when connecting 3Pin Cable. [Student] Prepare indicated number of components in workbook then assemble by steps after check assembling position and size or supports and bolts behind workbook. [Student] Assemble after checking hole position that are indicated with alphabet or number on Main Frame, Small 8, Small 5, Small 4 Frames and variety of circuit boards. [Student] Assemble as following teacher s explanation. [Teacher] When assembling completes, let students come out one by one to let teacher examine the robot.

Study Process-5 [Shall we make it move?] [Teacher] Before staring a program, ask students to write down answer from workbook. [Student] Write down an answer following teacher s instruction. [Teacher] When answers are completed, instruct to write a program on Portable PC. [Student] Write a program on Portable PC as teacher s instruction and download to see whether it works as a task. 1.
