"When the Student is Ready the Teacher Appears" I want to begin by telling you why I'm qualified to teach you about writing irresistible headlines. My first career was as an investigative journalist writing frontpage cover stories for over 200,000 readers across the United States. One of my job responsibilities was to write headlines that would appear on the front page and catch people s attention and really sell the newspapers. When I got tired of the deadline-driven field of journalism I transferred my skills to the world of copywriting for online marketing. 2014 by Vrinda Normand & Irresistible Online Marketing, Inc. Fast-forward seven years and My own online marketing and headlines have sold over a million dollars worth of products for my business. We've grown all the way to seven figures serving over 40,000 entrepreneurs all over the world. Our clients have grown six-figure and multiple-six-figure businesses using the strategies I teach. "How to Capture the Hearts of Your Ideal Clients" The number one strategy to make your marketing messages effective is to have Irresistible Online Positioning. This is a five-element system that I teach you in depth in my programs but I want to get you started with part one today. Irresistible Online Positioning is all about finding the right direction to focus your marketing message. If you don t have a clear direction your headlines (and your other copy) are going to be all over the place, speaking to too many different kinds of people about too many things. 2014 by Vrinda Normand & Irresistible Online Marketing, Inc. No one is really going to know what you re offering and who it s for and no one is going to grasp the value of what you're offering. When your online positioning is really clear you know how to write that headline. Let me give you an example Your ideal clients are living on a place called Pain Island. They re suffering in a specific area of their life either their health, their career, their business or their relationships. You re a captain of a boat, and your business is the boat. Your job is to go to Pain Island and get people on your boat so you can help them. Your headline is what you say to get people on your boat. It s the first thing you re calling out to get their attention. Now you want to take your boat to the right place on Pain Island. (that s the direction) and say the right thing to get the right people on your boat. Most people use their marketing copy to talk about how their boat works, and they re trying to sell a ticket by saying 2014 by Vrinda Normand & Irresistible Online Marketing, Inc. Hey, everyone. I want to show you all the little pieces of my engine. Come on board my ship and I'll take you below deck to see how it works. But no one responds to that because they don t care about that. What you want to talk about is where you re headed: Pleasure Island. On Pleasure Island, there are so many irresistible results that people are craving and looking forward to. That s what you want to describe in your headline. You want to describe the results they want in a message that gets people on the boat so they want to go on that journey with you. I had a client named Cinder Earnst. As a fitness coach she could help people solve lots of different problems so she was struggling to find her clarity. When she finally found it, she focused in on helping plus-sized women get free from knee pain. 2014 by Vrinda Normand & Irresistible Online Marketing, Inc. All rights reserved. Page 8 of 17

That was a specific Pain Island, and not just any general health problem, it was a specific type of health problem knee pain and for a very specific group of people. With that clarity she was able to create her first program and the irresistible marketing around it. I teach so much more about Irresistible Online Positioning in my Irresistible Online Sales System, but just remember You need to focus on solving a really clear problem in a specific area of someone s life to get started. 2014 by Vrinda Normand & Irresistible Online Marketing, Inc. "The Biggest Headline Mistake You Must Avoid" The number one biggest mistake to avoid is when writing headlines is No emotional impact. This is the most common reason why headlines get ignored even if you think they are written well. You probably heard marketing experts talk about features and benefits, and you probably use that when you wrote your headline but it still falls flat. 2014 by Vrinda Normand & Irresistible Online Marketing, Inc. The reason why is because features and benefits don t awaken emotions of what I call pain and pleasure words; very specific and vivid words that describe people s real-life experiences on Pain Island and Pleasure Island. The reason I talk about pain and pleasure as a place is so you can imagine what that experience is and write to people in a way that they can relate to it. Here is a great example of this... My client Dana Davis has a product called Good Posture is Bad for Your Back! which is a unique way of helping people have good posture. But you wouldn t want to create a headline about that. Why not? Because Good Posture is Bad for Your Back! is describing her boat (or the process she uses to help people) which is not hot. You can make a hot headline by focusing on the results that process achieves by tapping into their pain and their pleasure. 2014 by Vrinda Normand & Irresistible Online Marketing, Inc. Let me show you what she came up with For people sick of squirming with the discomfort in their desk chair: How to Eliminate Your Back Pain and Transform Your Posture So You Can Sit in Exquisite Comfort Notice the emotional impact of that. The first addresses the specific pain of a person who s sitting in their desk chair, which is probably the most chronic way we experience it in day-to-day life. Notice the real life context that made that hot. The next part (Eliminating your back pain so you can transform your posture and sit in exquisite comfort) describes what life could be like on Pleasure Island. The verbs in that headline are also really powerful: Eliminate and transform and squirming. As you can see, those verbs make the whole headline come to life. 2014 by Vrinda Normand & Irresistible Online Marketing, Inc. All rights reserved. Page 12 of 17

Remember: For headlines, you want to uncover that specific emotional motivation that s going to capture the attention of your ideal clients. You want to focus on 1. The number one pain that they re aware of. (I say "aware of" because if you try to speak to something that s an underlying or a root cause in your headline, they are not aware of that and so they won t pay attention to it) 2. The number one most valuable result that they crave and that they know they want. Remember those two things when you re crafting your headlines. "My Hottest Headline Template" Now I want to show you how you can apply these principles to your headline. Here's the number one hottest headline template that you can get started with right away Attention IDEAL CLIENT struggling with THIS PAINFUL PROBLEM : How to get THIS RESULT so you can ENJOY THESE RESULTS AND PLEASURES 2014 by Vrinda Normand & Irresistible Online Marketing, Inc. All you have to do is fill in the blanks with your specific results and pleasures. Your headline should NOT say how to do this process. Instead you want to say how to achieve this result so you can get these even juicier results and pleasures that you re craving. As a result your headline is going to be pretty long; as much as three lines long a page. It shouldn t be real short like a program title. The headline is a thing that says, Stay on this page, and keep reading. And if it s done its job, the person is going to keep scrolling and they re going to keep reading, either to opt in for your gift or to buy your product on your sales page. It s powerful because it s for women that are run down by fatigue and exhaustion. That s very clear, and she s helping them get specific results that they crave. Ritamarie took that headline and made $80,000 in online sales in just one year.
