Drilling Services and solutions working for your business Quality Service Safely Hagstrom Drilling is a privately owned, independent drilling contractor with extensive capabilities and experience servicing the earth science industry on land and overwater. Safety Hagstrom Drilling s vision is to achieve the highest level of safety, providing a safe workplace with zero lost time injuries whilst maintaining quality across all facets of our business. Hagstrom is committed to achieving this vision and has recently been awarded AS 4801 accreditation in recognition for its commitment to a safe working environment for our employees and clients. Drilling Services Geotechnical Recovery of good quality soil and rock samples is crucial in geotechnical drilling and demands a high level of expertise and precision. All data collected during drilling needs to be accurate as it is used for critical decision making, design and budget considerations. We offer a full range of geotechnical coring, sampling and in-situ testing on holes up to 125 mm diameter to a depth of 250 meters, to ensure accurate, reliable and timely data acquisition Hagstrom provides a full range of in-situ geotechnical instrumentation installation services, including piezometers, inclinometers and extensometers. Geotechnical drilling techniques and capabilities include: Overwater (nearshore marine, intertidal, rivers and lakes) jack-up and spud barge drilling Heliportable rig drilling Coverage With offices and equipment strategically positioned across Australia, Hagstrom Drilling has the capability and capacity to service your project requirements. 2015 saw Hagstrom expand into NSW, opening its Sydney office and 2016 saw Hagstrom expand into Victoria with a Melbourne based operation. This unit can be used for land and overwater projects and is equipped with a portable silenced power source for stand-alone use. It can also be configured to operate from our Marsh Buggy, Morookas or Jack up Barges. Geotechnical and Environmental CPT Services comprise the following: Mechanical, CPT, CPTU, Seismic Cone Testing and piezometer installation Water sampling Marchetti DMT Dilatometer and Seismic Dilatometer SDMT Testing used in conjunction with an automatic shear wave generator to ensure accuracy and repeatability Mostap 35 (1.5m) soil sampler for non-contaminated plumes and 35ps (0.5m) soil sampler for contaminated plumes. CPT testing is an in-situ testing method that can be used to determine the geotechnical engineering properties of soils and delineating soil stratigraphy. Environmental cone that measures ph, redox potential and temperature, providing information about the composition and permeability of distinct soil layers Our track based CPT rigs appeal to clients as they are able to access more rugged terrain, reduce the impact on the environment, are very manoeuvrable and require a small working footprint. Our CPT fleet also includes a stand-alone Hyson 200 kn unit which is fitted to a purpose built skid base frame.
Multiple Assets and Platforms Environmental Services Our operational advantage lies in providing affordable solutions to evaluate and resolve environmental risks associated with our client s project site. Environmental drilling is commonly used to identify the nature and extent of contamination in soil or groundwater, to provide accurate sample integrity and eliminate crosscontamination between sampling locations. The use of clean, non-contaminated equipment, both above and below ground, is guaranteed at all times. Environmental drilling techniques and capabilities include: Direct push probe sampling 75 mm and 100mm ID hollow stem auger Hollow auger continuous coring Air core drilling and sampling Grouting Soil sampling Recovery well installation Monitoring well installation In-situ instrumentation installation Equipment decontamination Overwater Services Hagstrom Drilling have developed extensive experience in drilling and CPT working overwater. Our experience includes working within the nearshore marine environment, intertidal zones, rivers, including some of the busiest ports and harbours across Australia. The overwater works are undertaken for new marinas / boating harbours, bridges, reclamation, dredging, pipeline construction, establishment or extensions to port facilities including jetties and ship loading facilities. To facilitate these services Hagstrom Drilling and our sister company Australian Barge Hire, own and operate the largest fleet of overwater equipment in Australia. The road transportable fleet includes spud barges, jack-up barges, support vessels and a marsh buggy. Specialized Equipment Hagstrom Drilling s Marsh Buggy is an amphibious track based vehicle suitable for use where ground conditions, access or environmental factors, make the use of truck mounted equipment inappropriate. The Marsh Buggy can be configured to support either Drilling or CPT activities.
Quality Service Safely Team Project Management Hagstrom Drilling take pride in their ability to meet project contractual requirements including, but not limited to; the development of initial working documents, establishing project scope, project prioritisation, monitoring of progress, capturing variations and ensuring the project is executed according to specified client requirements, budgets, policies and objectives. Support Services Hagstrom Drilling s modern head office, workshop, fabrication and warehouse facility is based in Canning Vale, Western Australia. All Hagstrom Drilling employees receive ongoing training and accreditation. We have developed a Training Framework which guides our personnel to achieve the nationally accredited Certificate III & IV in Drilling as well as progression through to water well licenses. Opportunities are provided to Trainee Drillers and Drillers to further develop their theoretical knowledge of drilling by attending the DICAT course conducted by ADITC. All Hagstrom Drilling procedures incorporate a level of national competency that are tailored to each specific rig or piece of equipment. Hagstrom Drilling personnel are required to understand and be competent in all company policies and in particular understand and comply with the Hagstrom Drilling safety management plan and policies. Hagstrom Drilling employs their own maintenance staff for all necessary repairs, fabrication, maintenance and rebuilds of our plant and equipment. With access to CNC lathes, milling and boring machines, our Machining Department has the ability to build specialised parts and components
