SNJDC's Annual Reception In September, the SNJDC hosted our Annual Awards Reception at the Trump National Golf Club in Pine Hill, NJ. Mints Insurance Agency's Frank A. Jones, the Annual Reception Planning Committee Chairman, greeted guests, applauded the efforts of the Planning Committee, and gave welcome remarks highlighting the accomplishments of economic development made by our award recipients this year, including: Economic Impact Award Atlantic City Contact Center John Ciaramella & Warren Golden Presented by Steve Weinstein, Rowan University The Atlantic City Contact Center was recognized for their commitment to job creation and economic diversification in Atlantic City and Atlantic County. Innovative Education Award Cumberland County Technical Education Center Freeholder Deputy Director Doug Long Presented by Assemblyman John Burzichelli To raise the level for developing a new emerging workforce in Cumberland County, Freeholder Doug Long was recognized for his leadership bringing together the Cumberland County Technical Education Center administration, local educational, political, and community leaders, as well as State officials to develop and construct the New Jersey's newest Technical High School, a 200,000 square foot, $70 million facility. Our Newest Members NJCC is a nonprofit community development financial institution (CDFI) that transforms at-risk Ocean County to Distribute Recycling Revenue The Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders is getting ready to distribute more than $240,000 to its municipalities that participate in the County's recycling program. "The success of recycling in Ocean County is again allowing us to return $241,166 through the Recycling

communities through strategic investments of capital and knowledge. NJCC invests in affordable housing, community facilities, and economic development ventures that strengthen neighborhoods, improve education, and increase jobs, ultimately providing greater opportunities for low-income populations. Since inception, NJCC has facilitated the investment of over $500 million into 800 high-impact projects across the state, supporting the creation and preservation of 12,900 education seats, 8,200 housing units, 6,100 early care slots, and 6,100 jobs. South Jersey Gas Completes Storm Hardening and Reliability Work in Atlantic City South Jersey Gas announced that the company has eliminated all its low pressure natural gas distribution systems in Atlantic City. This work was completed as part of the company's Storm Hardening and Reliability Program. After Superstorm Sandy, the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities encouraged the state's utilities to propose programs that would build greater resiliency into their systems in the aftermath of major weather events. Through this program, SJG has replaced approximately 36 miles of low pressure main, 11 district regulator stations, and 5,000 services within the city. Read more. A site for the new construction has not been finalized but the network is exploring possible locations, including land next to Rowan University at Exit 50 on Route 55. "A new, state-of-the-art hospital in our community will allow Inspira to offer an even higher level of quality care with the support of new technologies and services." said John DiAngelo, President and CEO of Inspira Health Network. Read more. Give. Hope. Volunteers of America Delaware Valley You can Give Hope to veterans and families transitioning from shelters into permanent housing. The idea for Apartment Start Kit (ASK) came from a former client and veteran of Volunteers of America who realized he had no way to make dinner the first night in his new apartment. Hill International Named Project Manager for Salwa Resort in Doha Hill International announced that it has received a contract from Contraco W.L.L. to provide project management consultancy services in connection with the Salwa Resort in Doha, Qatar. The two-and-a-half-year contract has an estimated value to Hill of approximately $2.3 million. The Salwa Resort will be built on 257 acres of land and feature 362 guest rooms, a water park, marina, dive center, cinema, retail space, pools and spa. Read more.
