While you listen to me talk you will remain awake, alert, and focused at all times. The past two weeks, you should have been listening to your Quick Tips CD #6 Get Fit Mentally any time you wanted to; as well as listening to your Hypnosis CD # 6 as you went to bed each night or while you were resting. Last week we focused on dealing with stress in a positive manner. Lets take a deep breath together breath and appreciate all the changes that you have made. You really deserve to be proud you yourself. That right think about it congratulate yourself. Feel those good feelings!! OK This time we will focus on you Becoming and Being Your Best! I will help your brain accept the reality that you are valuable and you are worthy of being successful. With success comes the perceived responsibility to surpass or at least maintain a certain level of accomplishment. The FEAR of not being able to sustain this level of accomplishment often defeats your potential to maintain achievement. So you will learn how to control and change your viewpoint of a situation. Through the Hypnosis CD Be Your Best you will learn to mute or silence your inner voice of fear and self doubt. You will give your mind permission to actually BE YOUR BEST all the time! You will train your brain to believe in your capacity to achieve. You will learn to trust your ability to make correct life decisions. Now In this final Quick Tips CD in your Be Fit for Life Weight Loss Program I want to remind you YOU CAN CHANGE YOURSELF YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR VIEWPOINT YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE! I want to discuss in detail some of the Natural Laws of the Mind. These laws or truths determine how our minds work and thus how we react to each situation each moment. Once you learn and embrace these
Page 2 of 8 truths you will be able to work productively WITH your mind rather that against it. You will be able to BE YOUR BEST! These Laws are taken from the book Perfect Enough written by Laura King. #1 Every THOUGHT creates an EMOTION that creates a PHYSICAL REACTION! I am going to give you an example to make this easy to understand. Late at night you hear a noise your THOUGHT is maybe it is someone trying to break into my house! This thought then creates the EMOTION fear that, in turn, creates the PHYSICAL REACTION of rapid heartbeat, muscle tightness, etc. New scenario Late at night you hear a noise this time your THOUGHT is: it is probably my teenager returning home this thought creates the EMOTION of relief which in turn creates the PHSICAL REACTION a sigh of relief, muscles relaxing, etc. They were both noises in the night!! Then your thoughts took over and created the EMOTION and the PHSICAL REACTION Worry is your brain letting your FEAR of something imagined, run wild! Just think of how many what ifs you can come up with when you are worried about something. From now on you need to cancel the negative what ifs and re-focus on the positive what ifs. There are just as many positive what ifs but you have to CHOOSE to think them. The best news is: YOU control your thoughts you can change the way you think about every event or situation in your life.
Page 3 of 8 #2 What is EXPECTED tends to be REALIZED. If you expect to fail generally you will! If you expect weight loss to be difficult it will be! If you expect something to be easy it will definitely seem easier! For some reason most people have learned to expect the bad outcome so you must recognize this and change your thoughts. You must EXPECT the good or desired outcome. You must believee it is possible and expect it! So change your thoughts about your experiences and empower your life! #3 Only ONE IDEA or THOUGHT can be entertained at once. You might think you can have two thoughts going on in your brain at once but each moment there is only ONE thought. It may seem like you are doing two things at once but each moment there is only ONE thought. You can switch your thoughts back and forth from one activity to another but each moment there is only ONE thought. This said whenever you notice a negative thought entering into your mind, picture a large RED STOP SIGN. Then consciously re-word that thought into an opposite positive thought. EXAMPLE Thought I can t lose weight. STOP SIGN I am getting slimmer and more fit every day. YOU have to change the thought no one else can do it for you. YOU control your thoughts!!
Page 4 of 8 ****If you cannot think of a positive opposite thought just picture a large purple elephant! There is no such animal but this purple elephant thought clears out the negative one and probably makes you smile. Focus on your purple elephant as long as you need to until you can form a positive thought. You can even name the elephant I use my purple elephant a lot. #4 IMAGINATION is more powerful than KNOWLEDGE. This is because our imagination is located in our Subconsciouss Mind (88% of our brain power) while our knowledge is located in our Conscious Mind (12% of our brainpower). Example: Conscious Mind I shouldn t have that slice of cake Subconscious Mind I love cake and it makes me feel good! How often does your Subconscious Mind win? probably most of the time! This is why it is so important to use hypnosis to change our beliefs and habits. When we use hypnosis it stops the battle of wills between our Subconscious and Conscious Minds! The Subconscious Mind thinks in images So cancel the undesired images and replace them with positive images, of outcomes, that you desire. Do this every chance you get!!!
Page 5 of 8 #5 ATTITUDE is a matter of CHOICE. An attitude is the way you look at life. The events that occur in our lives are purely neutral. They are not positive for us until we have decided that they are they are not negative for us until we have decided that they are! In NLP, when we refer to reframing, we are talking about the ability we all have to shift our perspective and in turn change our approach and probably change the outcome. This brings us back to finding the positive side of every situation. The more positive thoughts and images you have the better you will feel then more positive thoughts then the better you will feel and this cycle just continues #6 THOUGHTS must be kept alive. The following are truisms about your thoughts taken directly from the book: Perfect Enough written by Laura King -An idea, once accepted, or it is forgotten. tends to remain until it is replaced by another idea -Once an idea has been accepted, there is opposition to replacing it with a new idea. -The longer an idea remains, the more opposition there is to replacing it with a new idea.
Page 6 of 8 -The longer an idea remains, the more it tends to become a fixed HABIT of thinking. (This is how habits are formed, BOTH good and bad ones: first the thought, then the action.) -Therefore, if we wish to change our actions, we must begin by changing our thoughts. #7 Have an ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE. What you put forth comes back to you and usually when it does it has gained mass and momentum. Another way to say this is What goes around comes around. Therefore, if you develop an attitude of gratitude, and recognize and focus on all you have to be grateful for you will start to see more and more to be grateful for. This in turn helps to seee that we in fact do HAVE ENOUGH and we in fact ARE ENOUGH!! So in closing this final CD in your Be Fit for Life Weight Loss Program, I would like to remind you again that your Subconscious Mind (88% of your brain power) determines how you react to each situation each day. By now you should have a good image of what you want to accomplish as well as a good blueprint of how to get there. You also, NOW, understand much more about how you mind is involved with situation you find yourself in. You understand how to use your thoughts to your advantage and to be successful. Success is a journey not a destination, thus be sure to continue with the positive changes you have already made. Continue to listen to this part of the program for at least two weeks. Listen to the Hypnosis CD Be Your Best when you go to bed at night and when you want a power nap. After two weeks, you may listen to any part of the program thatt you feel will be the most beneficial to your continued success. Look at it as a REVIEW

Continue to listen to any of the Quick Tip CD s any time you choose...continue to listen to the Hypnosis CD s as you go to bed at night again you choose the one you feel will be most beneficial. It is good to listen to the hypnosis CD continuously for a time period at least a few weeks before you change again. The Quick Tips CD s, you can change daily or hourly if you like. Continue to think and imagine the POSITIVE and ENJOY your life. Continue your action plan. Let s review your plan You are choosing healthy foods, you are eating slowly, you are enjoying the flavor of the wonderful fresh vegetables and lean meats, you are drinking plenty of fresh water, and you are avoiding unhealthy foods. You are paying attention to when you feel full and STOPING! You are doing some type of enjoyable physical activity (if time and physical ability permits). You are canceling negative thoughts and focusing on the positive, you are appreciating all the positive that happens each day, you are paying attention to feeling GOOD, and you are remembering to smile at others, you are becoming thinner! Your total action plan is a positive life change for you be proud of yourself You are succeeding AND YOU DESERVE IT! Again, listen to Be Your Best for at least two weeks then you can review any Chapter or Session that you feel is best for you. Thank You. Now I am going to give you a list of positive affirmations that you should be saying to yourself as often as you like. Right now Say them with me, to yourself as I speak. Remember, you will stay awake and conscious as you listen to these positive affirmations. Pick your favorites or write your own just be sure they are POSITIVE! Enjoy them, believe them! I am making positive changes in my life. I am enjoying the positive changes that are happening to my body. I love myself. I am a good person and I deserve to be happy.
Page 8 of 8 I now handle stress with ease. I burn more calories than I take in each day. I feel good! I am thin, fit, trim, and healthy. I become more healthy each day. I learn to de-stress each day. I now re-focus and dismiss stress. I recognize the positive an every person. I am positive and fun to be around. I am becoming healthier each day. I love to eat good healthy foods. I have a positive outlook on life. I appreciate all the wonderful things that have occurred today. My body uses the good foods that I give it to function properly. I feel good today. I am happy with the choices that I have made today. I believe in my success. I release and let go of concerns that I have no control over. I love to get up and move. I love to drink fresh water. I believe in myself and my ability to make changes in my life. I have released the past. I have a positive point of view on life. I am strong, confident, and brave today and for the rest of my life. ***Repeat any or all of these affirmations to yourself as often as you like change your self talk to POSITIVE self talk! One more time: The more you think positive thoughts the more positive enters your life! Have a GREAT DAY and BE HAPPY!! YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!
