1 INSTALLING CROSS-OVER SEAL CLIP AND CROSS-OVER SEAL All of the following illustrations are for left side pivot. Right side pivot would be opposite. A. Position the cross-over seal clip next to the roller bracket and align the hole in the cross-over seal clip with the hole in the roller bracket. 2 INSTALLING ROLLING PANEL SEAL No. 8-18 x 1-1/2 Pilot Point A. Remove the panel stop by turning the No. 8-18 x 1-1/2 pilot point screw counterclockwise. Roller Stop Bottom Frame Groove B. Insert the rolling panel seal into the groove of the rolling panel bottom frame. Slide the seal into the bottom frame groove and align the end of seal with the edge of the rolling panel handle. Seal Correct Installation of Seal C. Place the roller stop against the rolling panel bottom frame and align the hole in the roller stop with the screwport in bottom frame. 3 INSTALLING PIVOT PANEL SEAL A. Remove the 2 No. 6-20 x 5/8 flathead screws from the pivot bracket as shown. B. Remove the pivot bracket and wall jamb. No. 6-20 x 5/8 Flathead Bracket Wall Jamb C. Insert the pivot panel seal (square end) into the groove of the pivot panel bottom frame. Slide the seal into the bottom frame groove with the square end of the seal against the cross-over seal. Turn the panel assembly over on the work table so that the rolling panel is down and the pivot side panel is up. Push Bracket Down F. Insert the No. 8-32 x 7/16 panhead screw into the screw hole in the roller bracket as shown. Push the roller bracket down toward the seals and tighten the roller bracket screws to secure the bracket. 4 LOCATING AND MARKING WALL JAMB LOCATION Slot Toward Inside of Shower A. Place the wall jamb against the wall on the showerhead side with the bottom end of the wall jamb resting on the shower ledge. Be sure the shower side of the wall jamb, (with slots), is positioned toward the inside of shower and the room side of wall jamb is 1/16 from the curved edge of the shower ledge. This placement of the wall jamb will insure that the bottom seals on the door panels will be located on the flat area of the ledge. NOTE: The wall jamb must sit flat on the shower ledge. If your ledge has a curve in the corners at the side wall, it may be necessary to shape the bottom end of the wall jamb with a file. B. Use a level to plumb the wall jamb vertically and mark the 6 hole locations on the wall. Mark at the center of the slots in the wall jamb. 5 DRILLING HOLES AND INSTALLING WALL JAMBS NOTE: WEAR SAFETY GLASSES. Use the following steps to install wall jamb using solid wall anchors Wall Jamb (Room ) Level No. 8-18 x 1-1/4 Panhead A. Lightly center punch the 6-hole locations on wall. On ceramic tile, use the center punch to nick the surface glaze. Tap the punch lightly with your hammer so you don t crack the tile. B. Drill all 6 holes with a 1/4 drill bit (use a masonry bit for ceramic tile). After drilling, thoroughly clean the shower ledge and insert solid wall anchors into all 6 holes. C. Align the slots in the wall jambs with the holes in the wall. D. Secure the wall jambs with 6 No. 8-18 x 1-1/4 panhead screws. IMPORTANT: As the screws are installed and tightened to secure wall jamb, use a level to insure that the wall jamb stays plumb and the bottom end of the wall jamb is 1/16 from the curved edge of the shower ledge. 6 CAULKING BOTTOM PIVOT BLOCK A. Lay the panel assembly on a flat surface and caulk around the bottom pivot block as shown. B. Spread the caulk over the surface of the pivot block and remove any excess caulk. CAUTION: Do not allow any caulk on the bottom seal. Caulk Around Edges Bottom Seal Block 7 INSTALLING PANEL ASSEMBLY CAUTION: Clean shower ledge and bottom seal immediately if any caulk is transferred to the shower ledge or bottom seal from the pivot block when installing the panel assembly. A. Lift the panel assembly with the bottom of the pivot block approximately 2 above the shower ledge and align the slots in the pivot blocks with the legs of the wall jamb. B. Slide the panel assembly towards the wall until it is all the way over the wall jamb, then slide the panel assembly down until the pivot block rests on the shower ledge. C. Install No. 8-18 x 1/2 panhead screws into the top and bottom holes of the wall jamb into the top and bottom pivot blocks and tighten. 8 ADJUSTING ROLLING PANEL Insert the No. 8-32 x 5/8 panhead adjustment screw into the screw hole in the top roller bracket as shown and turn clockwise into the roller bracket until snug against the roller bracket screw then tighten 1/2 turn more. It may be necessary to adjust the rolling panel if the panel tends to wobble or has excessive movement. If necessary to adjust, see the following roller bracket adjustment procedures. A. Fully loosen the No. 8-32 x 5/8 panhead adjustment screw in the installed top bracket. Top Roller Bracket Roller Bracket s B. Loosen the 2 roller bracket screws 1/4 turn. C. Slide the rolling panel to the half open position. D. Tap the top roller bracket down with screwdriver handle until rollers contact the rolling panel frame. No. 8-32 x 5/8 Panhead Adjustment E. Tighten the No. 8-32 x 5/8 panhead adjustment screw until snug against roller bracket screw and then tighten 1/2 turn more. F. Tighten the roller bracket screws. Do not adjust the bottom roller bracket. 9 ADJUSTING PANEL ASSEMBLY Cover A. If the bottom seals do not contact the ledge the full length of the seals, adjustment is needed. To adjust loosen only one screw, either the top or the bottom, and pull that end of the panel assembly away from the wall so that both of the bottom seals contact the ledge the full length of the seals and the door operates smoothly.
