Window Pod Installation Your VanShades Window Pods are supplied assembled and ready for you to install. If your Window Pods are supplied naked for you to carpet, we recommend removing the blind by prising the tension clip with a screwdriver. Roll up the blind and pop it in a bag to prevent any glue getting on it. Fixing your Window Pods is easy, however you may need an extra pair of hands to hold the Pod in place whilst you screw in the fixings. Your Window Pods are supplied with the correct fixings which are designed to easily cut into the steel of your vehicle. holes in Pods, G,H,E,D and I are for manufacturing use only. Do not use any of the pre-drilled holes as the screw will pass directly through the hole. Do not overtighten fixing on first fix, tighten them individually after the Pod is installed and then finish by putting the black bolt covers over the bolts. Do not screw the TE bolts through the front of the Pods. POD Behind Driver Step 1 - Offer the Pod up to the window behind the driver making sure it's located snug and securely into the window reveal and the words Pod are on the inside of the Pod to the top left. in the supplied 4 TE bolts into the sides of the Pod, making sure the Pod doesn't move and taking care not to over tighten. You'll see the screw pull into the BS plastic of the Pod. Step 2-2-3 bolts through the bottom rails. There is no need to fix at the top as the head rail of the blind will provide plenty of rigidity x7 x7 POD B Sliding Door Step 1 - Offer the Pod up to the sliding door window making sure it's located snug and securely into the window reveal and the words Pod B Top front are above the door handle. in the supplied 2 x 50mm TE bolts into the rear of the sliding door making sure the Pod doesn't move, taking care not to over tighten. You'll see the screw head and washer pull into the BS plastic of the Pod. Repeat the same process using 1 x 50mm TE bolt, screwing this into the bar above the door handle. Step 2-2-3 bolts through the bottom bar. There is no need to fix top as the head rail of the POD Right Barn Door Step 1 - Offer the Pod up to your barn door making sure it's located snug into the top right corner of the door and securely into the window reveal. in the supplied 4 x 1/4 TE bolts either side of the Pod making sure the Pod doesn't move, taking care not to over tighten. POD D Offside Rear Quarter LWB Step 1 - Offer the Pod up to the offside rear 1/4 window making sure it's located snug and securely into the reveal. We would recommend a spare of hands here to minimise any movement of the Pod whilst you screw in the fixings. in the supplied 2 x50mm TE bolts through the vertical bar at the front of the Pod. Step 2-2-3 bolts through the bottom bar. There is no need to fix top as the head rail of the Step 3 - in the small self tapping screws through the abs plastic into the steel of the van. In order to blind fix the screws, simply make a small 1 incision in the carpet, peel back slightly before screwing in the screw. POD I Tailgate Pre Installation - If you have a rear wash wiper, you will need to remove the motor housing prior to installation. Step 1 - Offer the Pod up to the Tailgate making sure it's located centrally, square and sitting on the bottom of the Tailgate window. We would recommend a spare of hands here to minimise any movement of the Pod whilst you screw in the fixings. in the supplied 2 x 5.5 x 50 TE bolts either side of the motor housing. Step 2- in the 25mm self tapping screws through the BS plastic into the steel of the van around each corner of the Pod. In order to blind fix the screws, simply make a small 1 incision in the carpet, peel back slightly before screwing in the screw. Once done, smooth the carpet back over the screw for a concealed finish. x2 x4 x2 POD J Sliding Window Beind Driver Installation of Pod J is the same as Pod. However if you have opted to carpet the Pods yourself, you will need to glue the face plate of the J Pod onto the body of the Pod (as the Pod needs carpeting first on the inside). When offering up the face plate, make sure it's even all the way round as the radius is different from top to bottom of the window reveals. Step 1 - Offer the Pod up to the window behind the driver making sure it's located snug and securely into the reveal. in the supplied 4 TE bolts through the bar each side of the Pod making sure the Pod doesn't move. Take care not to over tighten. You'll see the screw pull into the BS plastic of the Pod. We recommend none pressure pipe cement as the best binding agent. POD L Twin Slider / Left Hand Drive (fter Market Sliding Glazed Units) Step 1 - Offer the Pod up to the sliding door window making sure it's located snug and securely into the reveal and the words Pod B Top front are above the door handle. in the supplied 2 x 50mm TE bolts into the rear of the sliding door making sure the Pod doesn't move, taking care not to over tighten. You'll see the screw head and washer pull into the BS plastic of the Pod. POD K/B Sliding Door Factory Fitted OEM Glazed Unit Pre Installation firstly you need to remove the top part of the plastic trim from your factory fitted sliders. To do this simply insert a flat bladed screwdriver in between the horizontal seam of the trim bar. Once your screwdriver is in, prize the top part f the trim off. Once this is done keep this section in case it is needed in future. Step 1 - You can now begin the installation of your K/B Pod. ll our Pods have been N manufactured to very tight tolerances, in the case of the K/B Pod you will need to open the sliding door slightly to get the Pod in. Insert the Pod top first at an angle. The top bar of the Pod sits behind where you have just taken the top part of the factory fitted plastic trim. Step 2 - Now you can start screwing in the supplied TE bolts. in 2 x 50mm TE bolts into the rear of the sliding door, making sure the Pod doesn t move, taking care not to overtighten. You ll see the screw head and the plastic pull into the BS plastic of the Pod. Step 3 - Repeat the same process using 1 x 50mm TE bolt screwing this into the side bar above the door handle. Step 4-2-3 evenly spaced bolts through the bottom bar to finish. There is no need to fix through the top as the headrail of the Repeat the same process using 1 x 50mm TE bolt, screwing this into the bar above the door handle. Step 2-2-3 bolts through the top bar.
