04 Keysight Keysight Redefines 50 GHz Portability - Brochure Highest Reliability FieldFox is the most highly integrated millimeter-wave analyzer on the market. It s also the most rugged. As such, it is the most reliable. Historical data shows that the FieldFox family is at least 2 times more reliable than the 8565 family. Lower Cost of Ownership The 8565E was discontinued in April 2001, with official end-of-support life in April 2006. The 8565EC was discontinued in June 2012, with official end-of-support life in May of 2017. That means that the instruments are getting harder for Keysight to repair. The following image shows the long-term instrument users dilemma. This shows the relationship between instrument life and Keysight s ability to support it. That translates to higher cost for the user for both repair and calibration. The high reliability of the FieldFox analyzer means dramatically reduced cost of ownership. Flexibility The FieldFox 50 GHz spectrum analyzer is available in 2 configurations. The N9962A is a spectrum analyzer only, while the N9952A is available as a cable and antenna analyzer, and can be configure as a full 2-port switching vector network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, vector voltmeter, power meter, and many other instrument types operating to 50 GHz. That means that a single FieldFox can replace most or all of the instruments you use to maintain your systems. All of these upgrades can be made with a simple software license key.
