Take yarn to back of work, over the right hand needle. This creates the new stitch. You are now ready to proceed with the next stitch as instructed. NOTES 1. Each Bootie is worked in 4 steps. First, 2 upper side pieces are made. Next, the uppers are joined and stitches are cast on for top of foot. Stitches are picked up along side edges of uppers and top of foot to make the sole. Finally, sts are picked up along the ankle edge for the cuff.
2. The Booties are easy to make, but the construction may be something new for you. Refer to the diagram before beginning to clarify the construction. 3. The color shading in the yarn creates fun, non-matching Booties. 4. One ball of yarn is sufficient to make multiple pairs of Booties. BOOTIES (make 2) Upper Sides Cast on 9 sts.
