(e) How to adjust light sensor? Use a Phillips screwdriver to adjust R20 (blue box with cross in it above the screen), by turning this to the left will increase sensitivity to the light meaning it will close quicker at night and turning to the right it will close slower in the dark but do not turn it too far to the right as it may not shut on night where it does not get very dark, we recommend no further than half way to the right. R20 (f) How to attach to door? If attaching to a wooden door, place a screw in the top of the door directly below the door opener then place the loop in the string over the screw and the door is now attached to the door opener. If attaching to a metal door place the loop through the hole in the top of the door and tie up so the door is now connected to the door opener. (g) How to Re-string the Door Opener Diagram of how to re-string the unit if your string breaks : STEP 1: Remove the four screws from LCD board STEP 2: Disconnect the connector from Power Board Power Board Screws
STEP 3: Remove broken string STEP 4: Get a new string and change it according to following installation instructions. Figure 1 Figure 2 Figure 3 Figure 4 Figure 5 Figure 6 Figure 1 - Take one end of the string and tie to the grub screw holder on motor arm. Figure 2 - Ensure the string goes to the left side of the white arm. Figure 3 - Through the hole/loop of the silver needle. Figure 4 - Through the two silver hoops CP8 & CP9 Figure 5 - Through the spring and lower limit switch drilled hole. Figure 6 - Through the bead then take a further 4-6" more spare string down and tie a knot 4-6" above the end of the string but below the bead and mark it red. The string then below this can be tied off to the door ensuring the red know is always free to enter the door opener to hit the limit switch. STEP 5: After re-stringing the unit reconnect the connector from powerboard to LCD screen board and replace the four screws.
3. IMPORTANT NOTES: Please ensure the door you fit is above 300g to ensure the unit works properly Please ensure if you test away from a door that you still attach a 300+g weight to the door or you may damage the unit. Do NOT remove the lower knot in the string loop and/or bead from the string as this will fail to hit the lower limit switch and damage the unit. Ensure the string is straight down from the unit to ensure smooth use or use correct pullies to create a straight string coming out of base of door opener to ensure limit switches do not jam. Please ensure door is free moving and not jamming so unit can work well. Do NOT allow door to exceed 1kg Maximum distance from the unit to the door in closed position must not exceed 75cm as this will bypss the limit switch and cause the unit to lower the door but as the limit will exceed maximum the unit will keep winding back on itself and the door will raise and the string may even snap. If you wish to exceed 75cm then you must add string from the lower loop to your door, ensuring the original string functions as supplied to yourself. Please take care of batteries direction when placing them in the unit. CE Approved 1 year warranty supplied with the unit which is extended free of charge to 2 years if registered at http://www.titanincubators.com/support/product-registration.html within 28 of purchase. www.titanincubators.com info@titanincubators.com
If you would like to force the door to open at any time then press and hold the + button. If you would like to force the door to close, press and hold the - button. (this will only overide for 15 minutes then it will return to normal settings) Please ensure the door you fit is above 300g to ensure the door opener works correctly, if it is not heavy enough it will not lower or raise the door as it will not sense one is there. DO NOT REMOVE THE RED KNOT AS IT NEEDS THIS TO STOP THE DOOR RAISING AND CAN RESULT IN MOTOR FAILURE IF REMOVED. THE RED KNOT MUST GO UP INSIDE THE DOOR OPENER TO SWITCH OFF MOTOR. MAXIMUM DISTANCE BETWEEN BOTTOM OF DOOR OPENER AND BOTTOM OF LOOP 75CM. The unit must be fitted with the door attached to work, testing it without a minimum door weight of 300g it will appear as though it is not working.
