Welcome to ECE where We Turn Imagination into Reality!
What is ECE? What do I learn? Rigorous & Rewarding Program
What is Electronic & Computer Engineering? What is Engineering? Engineering is the purposeful use of science Our purpose is to make people s life easier How can we do that? Every work is done by changing the form of energy. In ECE, we manipulate electrical energy.
What is Electronic & Computer Engineering? What is Electronic? Sth related to electrons. Electrons are the major source of charges in circuits and charges carry electrical energy. Basically, we manipulate electrical energy, transform it from/to other forms, and complete some tasks in this process.
What is Electronic & Computer Engineering? What is Computer? Sth that computes or calculates. Why do we do calculations/computation? We do calculations to efficiently collect, move, recover, and present information. Industrial Age => Information Age, where information is playing a more and more important role in our daily life.
What is Electronic & Computer Engineering? ECE uses electrical energy to do things (work)! Nowadays, moving information is one of the most important tasks we do. To achieve these engineering purposes, we use science, mainly physics and math. We use Physics to analyze/design circuits/devices which move energy and information. We use Math to optimize our ways to design devices and move information.
ECE is changing the world and making people s life easier! We Turn Imagination into Reality!
