1. Create Community Whether you work with people in person or online, creating community around your work and your business is essential. It allows you to share your message with your clients and potential clients so they feel connected to a like-minded group. Start by creating a Facebook Group or Fan Page and post tips, blogs and videos while you invite new friends to join the conversation. 2. Communicate Regularly Make sure to communicate on a regular basis with your client list. This means active clients and potential new clients anyone in your community! Talk to your list once per week with a helpful tip or article. 3. Stay Connected Do you know what your clients really want? Find out by staying connected to their challenges and concerns. 4. Know Your Niche Make sure you know who your ideal clients are and where they are hanging out. Having a niche doesn t mean you have to exclude others, but it creates a strong focus and draws more ideal clients to you as you craft your message and marketing to a targeted group. If you don t have a niche yet, think first about whom you love working with and what group of people you have been successful with. It helps to think of a real client or person you know to help you describe your ideal client. 5. Get Clear on Your Offer Once you know your niche, you want to determine what problem you are solving for them and how you will communicate your solution to their challenge. Be as clear as possible and focus on the main problem your niche wants to solve today! While you may be able to help them with many things down the road, consider what is the one thing that keeps them awake at night that they are willing to invest in now for support. 6. Give It Away Most wellness professionals are concerned with sharing too much valuable information for free, because this is the information they use when working with paying clients. Make this mindset shift today and your business will grow by leaps and bounds: Give it Away. This does not mean giving away your time, services or work for free. What it means is sharing your content and tips up front to draw more people to you. Provide value and offer it for free so that your potential clients will learn from you and see you as knowledgeable and helpful. What you ll earn is their trust and new clients. Keep this in mind: people pay for support not information. - 3 -

7. Make Videos Leverage video as an emerging form of media that people love. While writing articles and blog posts are great, video is on the scene as the hottest medium because it adds another level of personal connection. Even if you re camera shy, you can always film a cooking demo, a client testimonial or tour through your office. Post valuable video tips on video sharing sites like You Tube and distribute even more widely using TubeMogul.com 8. Host Teleseminars Clients love to learn from you in a variety of formats. Even if you work with people in person, they can still attend your virtual teleconferences. Teleseminars help you to reach out beyond your local market and connect with people everywhere. Make sure to record your teleseminar so that you have a valuable audio that can become a free giveaway, part of your program package, or part of a larger information product. 9. Form Strategic Partnerships Connecting with like-minded professionals who have complementing businesses is a great way to create referrals and share your programs, products or services. 10. Get Organized Getting organized doesn t mean spending more time Feng-Shui-ing your office! Instead, get organized around how you use your valuable time.
