Before you use this guide I highly recommend that you watch the install video at least one time all the way through that walks you through this guide. You can see the video at http://resalerightsfornewbies.com/installwalk-through-video After you watch it a few times you will be able to just use this tutorial and get yourself setup. It will take time and work, but you CAN do this. Just take a deep breath, go slow, and PRACTICE! Be sure to print this out for easy use. Let s get you started!
STEP 1: Download your product and everything that goes with it into one folder. I suggest naming the folder the name of the product. Once you have everything downloaded make sure and unzip everything and familiarize yourself with all files. Example Image: Create a folder and name it the name of the product. Example Image: Unzip everything you get with the product you have the rights to. STEP 2: Read the license to the product you have and make sure you know your rights are. You need to know what you can and can t do with the product. Remember with master or regular resell rights if you want to change the graphics and the license doesn t say if you can or not make sure and contact the product creator and ask.
Example Image: Different people will have different rights for their products. They may be a downloadable document or they may give you a link to a site that has their rights. This is just an example of a product that I have the rights to. STEP 3: You absolutely MUST go through the product before you even begin setting the product up. First of all to make sure that it s a good product, and second so that if your customer has questions you can answer those questions. This step MUST not be skipped. You can t sell crappy products just to make yourself a little money. STEP 4: When setting up products with rights there are three main things you need. The rest of the stuff is just bells and whistles. If you remember that you will keep yourself from getting confused. Things you will need are: a. The product (This is what your customer will download after purchase.) b. The sales page (Where your customer will be sent to purchase the product from you.) c. The download page (This is where the customer is taken to after purchase to download the product.)
Example Image: Depending on what the product is will depend on what you have. Some products come with multiple files that your customer can download. By looking at the download page you can see what files you ll need. In this example image you re seeing below. The product I was using had multiple files for my customer to download. Some will have it all in one zip file and some will have it like this where there are multiple files. Example Image: The sales page is pretty easy to spot. It will probably be named index.html or salespage.html or something like that. It will have the sales letter that sells your customer on making the purchase of the product from you. This is what people should see when they come to your domain name.
Example Image: The download page will probably be named download.html or thankyou.html or something like that. It will have all the downloads for your customer to access after they purchase.
Once you have done all of the above and have all the files that you need then start with Step 5 where the actual install process begins. STEP 5: Get a domain name that is related to the name of the resell product or its niche. Also make sure you get a.com domain name. Don t try and save a few bucks by getting one of the cheaper ones because.com s always convert better than any other TLD (.net,.org,.biz, etc.) Also note to get ALL of your domain names from ONE registrar. If you try and buy them from different ones you ll just end up confusing yourself. I exclusively use GoDaddy.com, but you can use whatever registrar you want just make sure you only use ONE. NOTE: To learn more about domain names see my tutorials at http://liztomey.com/notes-on-getting-a-domain-name Example Image: I was setting up a product called Supreme Email Marketing. I went to GoDaddy.com and searched for the product name as a domain name. SupremeEmailMarketing.com miraculously was available. Usually you won t be able to get the product name as the domain name and will need to add something before or after it. For example I would have tried for MySupremeEmailMarketing.com if SupremeEmailMarketing.com hadn t been available. STEP 6: If you don t already have hosting you will need to get hosting for your domain name. Hosting is where you purchase server space to host the files for your website. I have had some nightmare issues in the past with hosts and I ONLY recommend Liquid Web Hosting at http://www.thiskicksbutt.com/liquidwebhosting
NOTE: To learn more about hosting and why I only recommend Liquid Web you can see more tutorials at http://liztomey.com/notes-on-getting-hosting STEP 7: Once you have a domain name and hosting you need to get your domain name onto your hosting so that you can start uploading the files to your server. You will first need to get your nameservers from your hosting company and then go into your registrar and input those nameservers. Here are the steps to do this: Example Images: After you purchase your domain name, click on Domains at the top of your account, and then select Manage My Domains. On the next page you will tick the box next to your domain name
Once you have done that select Nameservers at the top of your domain name list and select Set Nameservers. The next screen to pop up will be the one below. You need to select Custom then click on the link that says Enter customer nameservers.
When you click on that link then on the next screen is where you will enter your nameservers that your host gave you. If you can t find them you need to contact your host and ask for them. You will then need to click the save button
Once you do that you ll see the screen below and you can then move on to the next step STEP 8: Add your domain name to your server. Depending on who you use for hosting will depend on how you do this. This is yet another reason I recommend Liquid Web Hosting because they make it so easy. The following images will show you how I can easily add my domain name to my hosting account and get my domain name live and online. The first thing I do is login into my WHM (Web Host Manager)
Click on Create New Account On the next screen you will fill out the information for your domain name. Pick a username and password.
Once you have done that on the next screen will be your hosting information. You will need to copy and paste that into a NotePad file and save it as HostingInformation and for now just save it to your Desk Top.
Step 9: Create a folder on your computer and name it with your domain name. Make sure you put your HosingInformation file into that folder. Get all files together that you will need to setup the product and put them in your domain name folder. Example Images: The images below show all of these things you need to do for this process.
Step 10: Set up your FTP program This is where you will need your hosting username and password. I use CuteFTP and this is the information you need to enter. Remember this is only an example so enter YOUR domain name and hosting information in the fields and then click the connect button. Example Images: Open up CuteFTP and right click on General FTP Sites >>> New >>> FTP Site
On the next screen is where you will enter your domain name and hosting information. Once you have everything in there click Connect to connect to your server to begin uploading all the files for your product. Once you click Connect you will see the following screen and you need to go into the public_html folder. This is where you will ALWAYS put the files for your website. Step 11: Upload all files to your server
Before you begin make sure to navigate to your domain name folder on the left side of CuteFTP. Example Images: Open up your domain name folder with all your files in it. Note: Make sure that you rename your download page something that people can t guess. Don t leave it as download or thank you. Also DO NOT upload your Hosting Information text file.
Once you have renamed your download page upload all files. You can do this by holding down the CTRL key and clicking on each file and then right click and select upload. If you ve done this correctly when you go to your domain name now you should see the sales letter. Here s an example of mine.
If you add your download page file name to that domain after the / you will see your download page. For example my domain name is supremeemailmarketing.com so when I go to supremeemailmarketing.com/dl892hosidhosd.htm that will take me to my download page like you see in the image below. STEP 12: Edit your sales page You can edit anything you want on your sales page. You may need to remove links or other things, but generally you ll just be putting your name and order button on it.

STEP 13: Edit the download page Just like the sales page you can edit anything you want to on the download page. You just have to make sure that your download links are working. Example Image:

STEP 14: Create an order button in the payment system that you use. In this example we are going to be using JVZoo.com Example Images: First make sure that you have a JVZoo.com SELLER account. You can get one of those by going to http://www.thiskicksbutt.com/jvzoo Once you have a seller account login and on the home screen go to the Seller s Tab and then select Seller s Dashboard
On the next screen click on the big yellow button in the top right that says Add A Product. This will take you to the screen where you will add all of your product information. Follow the instructions for EACH field. Slow down and actually read what everything says. Once you ve filled everything out click on the Save Product Button. Here is the information that I entered.
Once you do that you will be taken back to your seller s dashboard. You will then need to find your product and click on Buy Buttons That will bring you to the Buy Buttons screen. Select the HTML for the buy button you want to use and add the HTML to your sales page. Note: I recommend watching the install video that goes along with this document to learn how to add your button to your sales page. You can find that link at the beginning of this document. STEP 15: Reupload your sales page and download page.
Now that you have edited your download and sales page you must reupload them to your server so that the changes you made show on your domain name to your site visitors. Congratulations your product is now online and can be bought by your website visitors. If you used JVZoo and entered your information correctly your customer will automatically be added to your customer list for your product AND they will automatically be taken to the download page to download their purchase.
