Jonathan Tam Jon is a part of the investment team at Horizons Ventures, based in Hong Kong. He is mainly involved with investments in artificial intelligence, immersive technologies, transportation and quantum computing. Prior to joining Horizons Ventures, Jon was part of the early founding team of Nanoleaf, a green-tech IoT startup that develops innovative lighting products, where he led global business development and corporate strategy. Jon began his career as an equities trader at Goldman Sachs Hong Kong, specializing in HK/China equities. Jon graduated from Brown University majoring in Commerce, Organizations and Entrepreneurship.
Doug Cheung Doug Cheung works as an analyst at Horizons Ventures covering biotechnology and healthcare investments. Doug received a master s degree in epidemiology/public health from Harvard University. His prior experience involved data analytics for the California health system and NGOs, and a range of NIH and university-sponsored research studies from bench to population level.
Louisa Zhang VP at Vectr Ventures leading the growth initiatives of portfolio companies, leveraging her experience in private capital investment, business development and cross border go-tomarket. She has an engineering degree from Columbia followed by 6 years in technology investment banking focused on consumer tech, hardware, and edutech, and subsequently a country manager for a San Francisco based consumer tech company based in Hong Kong, successfully launching and scaling the operations for Hong Kong.
Danny Siu Danny joined Vectr Ventures in 2014 as VP of Technology which he leads technology initiatives and product/tech part of due diligence for investments. He co-heads the Vectr Studio and is the technical advisor for portfolio companies. Prior to joining Vectr, he worked at Adobe Systems in the US for 12 years followed by 6 years in Beijing founding startups in the early mobile gaming industry.
Tak Lo Tak Lo is creating startup leaders in Asia. He is a Partner at Zeroth, an AI-focused early stage funding program. Previously, he sourced, invested, and mentored companies in the $3m Techstars London seed fund. He has worked with over 50 companies from the Asian, European, and NYC startup communities angel investing, founding, and mentoring startups. Tak started his career in the US Army. He graduated from the London Busi ness School and the University of Chicago. Based in Hong Kong, Zeroth.ai is an early-stage funding program that backs early stage Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning startups across Asia, with the first cohort starting in October.
Gordon Yen Dr Yen is the Managing Partner of Radiant Tech Ventures Ltd., a Hong Kong based investment firm licensed by the Securities and Futures Commission for Type 9 (asset management) regulated activity. He has over 25 years of financial and management experience in private and listed companies involving cross-border investments, global supply chain, manufacturing and infrastructure businesses. He has been involved in innovation and technology investments since the late 1990s through managing corporate and venture capital fund investments as well as investments as angel investor in transactions involving startups from the Hong Kong, Mainland China, Israel and the United States. Prior to establishing Radiant Tech Ventures, Dr Yen co-founded Radiant Venture Capital Limited and built it into one of the most active venture capital firms based in Hong Kong. He is currently serving as board member of several startups in USA, Hong Kong and Israel, Vice-Chairman of the Hong Kong Business Angel Network, independent non-executive director of Hopewell Holdings Ltd. (SEHK: 0054), and non-executive director of Fountain Set (Holdings) Ltd. (SEHK: 0420).
