SPEAKERS SHAUN BOYLAN - THE LAW LIBRARY Shaun has practised at the Irish Bar since 2006 with a strong emphasis on commercial and chancery work (including contract, company, debt, property and employment law) as well as personal injuries. He has acted for private clients, institutions, NERA and the State Claims Agency. He completed his degree at UCD prior to reading for a Masters in International Relations at the University of Cambridge and completing his studies at the King s Inns. LIZ POPE - PROPERTY REGISTRATION AUTHORITY IRELAND Liz Pope is CEO of the Property Registration Authority since 2016. She is a Barrister at law with a degree in Business Studies and a Masters in Law from UCC (LLM Practitioner). Liz joined the Land Registry in Waterford in 1997 as Deputy Registrar following on from her role as Examiner of Titles dealing with all aspects of registration of title, fraud, data protection and compensation. Liz is currently a mentor on the Law & Women Mentor Programme run by the Law Society and the Bar Council of Ireland. FLOR MCCARTHY, MCCARTHY + CO. She and her husband, Eddie Walsh, SC, own Lissadell House in Co Sligo. MAIREAD DEEVY - BARRISTER AT LAW, THE LAW LIBRARY Mairéad is a UCD alumnus of Business and Law. She was called to the Bar in 2012 and is also a qualified attorney-at-law, having passed the New York State Bar Exams in 2016. She has a mixed general practice including crime, family, employment and civil litigation. Mairéad practices predominantly in Dublin and on the South Eastern circuit. She lectures in Criminal Law at LawSchool.ie in Dublin. ANTOINETTE MORIARTY, PSYCHOTHERAPIST Antoinette combines her understanding of optimum human performance, through her training as a Psychotherapist with over 20 years experience designing and leading professional and executive development for lawyers and executive leaders. In addition to her private Psychotherapy and Executive Coaching practice Antoinette teaches a new element of professional legal education entitled Shrink Me - Psychology of a Lawyer.
