DRIVING TRAFFIC TO YOUR LANDING PAGE We ve finally made it to the last module now you simply need to drive traffic or visitors to your landing page where they can enter their name and email address and become a subscriber of your newsletter. There are many ways to drive traffic, some are free and some of them you have pay for. In my experience the most effective traffic building methods are the paid ones. I ve been testing a few methods over the years and have continued using the most effective ones in my business. Don t worry if you don t have the money to plop down on traffic. You can still make this work!
Once you re making money with one of your Online Business-In-A-Box sites, you can take your profits and invest it into paid traffic methods so that you can automate your traffic generation and be able to setup more sites. For the newbies out there, this is a lot to digest. There are dozens of methods to getting traffic to your site and some of them will be more effective than others. But, for most marketers, a few dedicated methods can usually generate all the traffic you ll need to make that five figure profit. Remember, you don t need massive traffic to your site. You just need people interested in your niche. Your only goal is to get them on your newsletter list. From there, you can focus on converting them to sales. FREE TRAFFIC METHODS When it comes to promoting your landing page it shouldn t be too hard since you re giving away free valuable content. Here is a list of proven free traffic methods Content Multiplier Method This process works well because you will be submitting informative articles to popular authority sites in your niche. There are not a lot of people doing
this so the competition is low and the traffic is higher because in most cases they have an avid user base. So to execute this effective you would do the following: 1. Write at least 4 Really Good Articles actually provide some value or a step-by-step action plan that will give the reader a value. By making a unique and useful article, it will get approved on the authority site and you will gain credibility and thus more traffic. To find out how to write your own article, search www.google.com or www.youtube.com for how to write articles tutorials. There re many out there! 2. Find the Authority Sites in Your Niche Now that you have your articles ready to submit, you have to find authority sites in your niche to submit your articles to. This is how you would do it: Start by searching news sites such as Digg.com, Del.icio.us, and StumbleUpon. Search the site with your main keyword and see what you come up with.
So after search Digg for dog training this is what I get: This is a lot of quality content that is already proven to be interesting by others. The next thing we want to do is enter the title of a relevant article into Google in quotes to see which sites come up that also syndicate this article. Here is what came back:
There are over 29,100,000 different high profile sites that we can submit an article to in this niche. Whether it is a blog, where we can write a guest post or a different news site, most of these sites are generating good traffic that you can siphon! 3. Submit your article to these high profile sites This is the easy part because you ve just created the articles and you should have a good list of authority sites in your niche to submit to.
Blog Commenting You can get a TON of visitors from doing Blog commenting the right way! I outsource this method and get a bunch of targeted traffic on the cheap! This is the fastest way to get free traffic. You can spend about 20 minutes a day doing this and get up to 50-100 visitors/day. People get blog commenting all wrong!! When you leave comments that don t add to the topic of discussion, it will either be considered spam or not approved at all. The infamous Nice blog post, I like your writing style. Doesn t work anymore, bloggers are hip to this and realize it s your cheap attempt to get a link back to your site. The first thing you want to do is find relevant blogs that get a lot of traffic in your niche. There are two ways you can find blogs to comment on: Using Google
Go to Google and search: your niche + blog Here s an example: I went ahead and select the first result to see if it has a good Alexa ranking, this will tell me if the blog is getting a substantial amount of traffic. You also want to see if they make a post at least 4x a week so that you have more opportunities to post a comment.
As long as the Alexa ranking is below 500,000 it usually means it is getting a good amount of traffic and on top of that it has a Pagerank of 5. Once you find relevant blogs you want to make informative comments that engage other readers and the writer. Proven Forum Marketing I don t go around forums posting irrelevant content with a signature link at the bottom. This is ineffective because moderators will already know what you re up to and ban you from the forum. Once you have a list of forums you visit or want to get links from, you will make about 15-20 forum posts, WITHOUT your signature. You want to post on threads that you feel will have longevity, such as howto s, opinionated threads, product reviews etc. You will add relevant information to the thread; make it informative and edgy at the same time. Basically, speak your mind and be VERY blunt people respect that and take interest!
Plus, you won t have a signature link so they will assume you re there to simply converse. Let a week or so go by and edit your profile on the forum and then add your website link w/ anchor text to your signature. This way you go in under the radar and still get good backlinks from a HIGH traffic forum. PAID TRAFFIC METHODS When most people think of driving traffic they think of Google Adwords or Banner ads. These days both are really expensive and when starting out that can hurt your pockets. Here are some unorthodox ways of driving a ton of paid traffic to your site on the cheap! 2 nd Tier Search Engines These are lesser known Pay Per Click (PPC) networks that offer a good amount of traffic for a fraction of the price. I normally start out with these PPC networks to find out if an offer is going to convert for before I scale up and spend more money on traffic. PPC is going to be the most common way to get paid traffic.
It s important to know where you are spending your advertising dollars, so I will give a brief spill on each so you know what type of traffic to expect. This is one of the PPC networks that I ve personally tested and seem to get pretty good conversions. 7Search - http://7search.com Also started back in 1999 Receives over 1.5 billion searches/mo Only $25 to get started It's wise to find out where these lower end PPC networks are getting their traffic so you will know if your offer will convert. Yahoo PPC People fail to realize that Yahoo is still the #4 most visited site on the web and their PPC network is still good. You receive high quality search engine and content network traffic. You won t receive as much traffic as Google but I ve tested the conversions and they always seem to be higher. The reason for this is because Google searchers tend to be a little more tech savvy than Yahoo users. On top of that you have marketers on Google everyday searching campaigns and clicking on your ads. I fell in love with Yahoo because they don t have all those strict rules you have to follow and plus you can direct link to affiliate offers.
I pay no more than.25 per click and get pretty good conversions with yahoo and on top of that, my campaigns are approved in less than a day. Cheap Banner Ads Buy Sell Ads (BSA) is basically a place where publishers can offer advertising space on their blogs/websites and advertisers can purchase that space. BSA simply serves as the middleman. To me, this is like banner advertising on steroids because I get to pick and choose what blogs I want to advertise on and in most cases you can negotiate advertising with the blogger directly for cheaper rates. Go setup your account: http://buysellads.com When selecting which blogs you want to advertise on, be sure that you do your due diligence and make sure they re actually receiving real traffic and that they have a nice database of active readers. Be sure their content matches up with your offer/product. Finally, check to see where they receive most of their traffic I usually only deal with blogs/websites that have good search engine rankings. Use www.quantcast.com or www.compete.com BSA really is a no-brainer for driving targeted, specific traffic to your website.
