Week 3.5 Still Life Drawing Composition, Crosshatching, Depth, Format, Hatching, Still Life, Negative Space, Proportion -Students will choose objects to draw in a still life set up. They will choose their format and composition. Week 7 Georgia O Keeffe Positive Space, Self Expression -Students will become familiar with the art of this American woman artist. We will focus on the flower phase of O Keeffe s career. -Students will create an O Keeffe style of flower artwork using photographs of flowers. 25A8 LCD slide presentation of on their knowledge of O Keeffe s flowers. O Keeffe and their ability to create a piece of Discovery Education short artwork that demonstrates film on O Keeffe, her life 26A7 their understanding of and work. 26A10 O Keeffe s unique techniques. 27A6 27B4 Week 8-9 Interior Perspective Careers, Creativity, Interior Perspective, Surrealism -Students will demonstrate their knowledge of perspective by creating a realistic interior space designed by the student. The drawings will exhibit their understanding of perspective and provide them the opportunity to be creative. 25A6 25A8 26A5 26A7 27A5 27A6 27B6 27B7 on the basis of their understanding and demonstrated accuracy of their drawings. They will also be evaluated on how creative they were with the creation of their interior spaces. Student will show slides of interior spaces and how perspective is used to make these rooms appear to be three dimensional. Students may use the internet to research furniture styles, architectural features, details, etc. for their final drawings.

Week 10 Semester 8 th grade students will continue work on relief printing. Students will continue on a more complicated reduction process.
