6 th Annual MS Harborfest Powerboat Poker Run Frequently Asked Questions Please join us for the 6 th Annual MS Harborfest Powerboat Poker Run. It s a great way to spend the day on the water, win valuable prizes, and take part in a great family-oriented party while raising money for the Maine Chapter of the Nat l MS Society. Here are some frequently asked questions: What is a powerboat poker run? The Poker Run is open to all boats capable of navigating inner Casco Bay and Portland Harbor (see the attached course chart.) It is NOT a race. At your own speed, you simply travel to six marinas around Portland Harbor and Casco Bay where you pick up a numbered tag. You don t have to dock; simply approach the card stop and your tag will be passed to you on the end of a long pole. Each card has a special theme with costumes and fun give-aways. Back at the party at DiMillo s Marina, you ll turn in your card stop tags for a seven-card poker hand, enjoy a barbeque, cash bar, great raffle items, and music. The highest poker hands win valuable prizes! What if I don t want to bring my boat? If the weather is bad or you d rather not operate your boat and just attend the party, simply show up at DiMillo s after 12 noon and register you ll still receive a poker hand, join the party and help us raise money for the Maine Chapter of the Nat l MS Society! You ll still need to stop by DiMillo s Saturday morning between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. to pick up your registration materials. You may also attend an informational skippers meeting at 9:00 a.m. at DiMillo s. Do I need any special equipment or gear? All you need is standard Coast Guard-required safety gear, and a VHF radio capable of monitoring VHF channel 72. Can I bring my boat to DiMillo s Marina for the party? Yes, free docking is available at DiMillo s during the Poker Run party. Contact DiMillo s marina staff for docking instructions on VHF channel 71 or 09.

MS HARBORFEST GENERAL RELEASE AGREEMENT By signing this General Release Agreement (the Agreement ), I, on behalf of myself and any and all successors in interest (the Participant ), hereby release(s) and forever discharge(s) the Maine Chapter of the National MS Society, the National MS Society, as well as, any and all employees, volunteers, agents, members, sponsors, promoters and affiliates related in any way thereto, from any and all claims arising directly or indirectly from, or attributable in any legal way to any negligence action, or omission or act of any such person(s), organizations, sponsors, or promoters and affiliates related thereto in connection with any MS Harborfest Event, in which I may participate individually, as a team member, or as a spectator. By signing this Agreement, I also acknowledge that the Events that I am participating in, or viewing as a spectator, are inherently dangerous activities, and that I freely engage at my own risk, in my participation or spectating of the Events, and that I am specifically assuming the full risk of any and all loss of any kind, for whatever reason, that may result from my participation or spectating of any MS Harborfest Events.
